Stroked by Meghan Quinn Blog Tour

Reese King: Olympic medalist, underwear model, Greek god.

His body is chiseled from rock, sculpted by the weight room, and refined by water.

On a daily basis his skin is completely bare for everyone to see, tan and defined, only covered up by a minuscule piece of spandex. There is no denying his sex appeal.

I hate to admit it, but I’m head over heels infatuated with him.

There is one HUGE problem though. His achingly gorgeous abs, inked up arm, and cocky swagger belong to my boss, the high-profile, reality star bitch from hell and certified heinous human being, Bellini Chambers.

What I think is going to be an easy job assisting a glorified wench turns into a cluster f*ck of epic proportions.

This is a hilarious and steamy read that I didn’t want to end!

Reese is an Olympic swimmer who is being forced to “date” an evil (though hilarious) witch, but things change for the better when Bellini’s new assistant steps into the picture. Paisley is dealing with a lot, especially with Bellini degrading her and calling her everything but Paisley. When Paisley and Reese meet the sparks fly, but Paisley knows that if Bellini gets so much as a whisper of anything going on she’s dead – so a forbidden romance begins.

I love that this book is told from all the main characters’ points of view, I actually loved all three of them (even though Bellini is a witch). I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard reading a book as I did with this one, it’s hilarious, like tears streaming down your face funny. I look forward to reading the next book by Megan Quinn!

Ms. Quinn has once again created a book that caused me to snort with laughter, and yet think quite deeply about the issues raised...as well as enjoy some very hot and steamy times...

What I would say – especially if you have not read one of her books before – do keep going even if the beginning seems somewhat over the top! I am always stunned by the degree of lively detail that we get from the very start when I start reading one of Ms. Quinn's books. Having got over the change of style from most books, I absolutely love every minute of the experience. Well, I couldn't love the Bellini chapters, because she truly was unbearable, but they did certainly emphasise certain points! As we knew immediately that the set up between her and Reese is for show only, and has never been anything else, it allowed us to root for Paisley's desires.

This manages to combine a sports romance with a reality TV debacle, and the behind the scenes story too – clever, funny, and definitely full of passion.

I definitely recommend this book to you – and if you have not previously discovered Ms. Quinn, then she has a number of excellent stories ready for you to enjoy.

Reese is an Olympic swimmer competing his last games. He has been striving to get the gold for years. He's hates the idea of facing the end of his career. He decides to take the plunge and enter into a fake relationship with the top reality queen, Bellini. Bellini is self-entitled and self-absorbed, thinking the sun rises and sets for her. Her assistant, Paisley, is fighting to get back into Hollywood after a mistake she made, getting this job isn't the ideal situation but it gets her one step closer to where she wants to be, so she'll deal with Bellini. Bellini is not a good boss to say the least. but when Reese and Paisley meet the sparks are definitely there.

Ms. Quinn has an ability to write hilarity mixed with steamy sexy fun. It was laugh out loud funny. Bellini makes a fantastic character you love to hate!

Can I just say how much I loved this book? Completely and totally in love. I found Stroked to be a nice balance between the seriousness of the Bourbon series and the laugh out loud humor of The Mother Road – a romantic comedy that was truly funny without being over-the-top, even with the presence of the over-the-top Bellini.

In this age a reality television and people achieving fame for acting like idiots, the storyline in Stroked was both amusing and an exercise in controlling one's vomit reflex. The latter is not a commentary on the writing or the book, but rather an indication of just how revolting of a character Quinn created in the narcissistic Bellini. I wish I could call her a caricature of reality television "stars," but people like her are why I stopped watching that kind of programming. Those who are famous solely for being rich and haven't accomplished anything, say like a multi-medal winning Olympic swimmer. Or a production assistant with a master's degree she obtained with almost no family encouragement (gotta love a supportive grandfather). While Bellini is exactly what Jasper calls her – the kind of person everyone loves to hate. Thankfully, she's only one-third of the strangest non-love triangle love triangle I've ever read and the page time given to Paisley and Reese's relationship and their inability to keep their hands off one another more than make up for the insanity that is Bellini. And seriously, once the seal is broken, Paisley and Reese are practically insatiable…and I loved it. Quinn writes great romance, great humor, and really great sex, and she brought it all to Stroked. More than once I had tears in my eyes – tears of heartbreak, tears of frustration (I wanted to kill Bellini for Paisely), and tears of laughter. I absolutely loved Stroked and am so freaking excited that this is only the first book in the series because it, hopefully, means that we’ll see more of Reese, Paisley, and yes, even Bellini.

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
