Death Wish by K. Webster Blog Tour

Death Wish. USA Today Bestselling Author. K. Webster. Blog Tour. Hosted by Candi Kane PR.

All I wanted is for my little sister Della to be safe and happy. And maybe, in brief stolen moments, I dreamed of a happy ending for myself with a brown-eyed man. That hope has turned into sharp, bright fear. There's only survival now.

I'm the daughter of a controlling and cruel billionaire, so I understand about power. But I find myself fighting anyway. I find myself testing them.

I have claws and I bite. I’m not going down without a fight.

It's like I have a death wish.

Reviews by the Wicked Reads Review Team

This is the second and final book in the Deception Duet and it is a humdinger. Just when you think the Mannford triplets are the worst, they do something to change your mind. Turns out, they can really be nice guys and be saviors for someone.

Landry and her sister are leaving a nightmare, and she is desperate to escape and take her sister with her. Their father is abusive behind closed doors but seems to be the perfect father to the rest of the world. When Scout learns the truth, all he wants to do is kill her father and protect Landry and Della. Seems the triplets have all fallen in love with the girls.

While the world calls them the Terror Triplets, Landry and Della know them as loving and caring. Can the boys protect the girls and keep them safe from their father?

I highly recommend you read the first book because you have to know what is going on before you start this one. This story is filled with suspense, darkness (as with this author), obsession, banter, friendship, and love times three. It is the perfect way to end this duet. If you haven't read author K. Webster before, this would be a good start, although it is a spinoff from the Cinderella trilogy, I think you can read this duet without reading the other. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Death Wish, book two in the Deception Duet, resumes where Triple Threat left off (quite the cliffhanger).

I can't and won't give anything away and ruin this for you, but I will say the Terror Triplets are now my heroes. They are fiercely protective of what they perceive as theirs. Scout has always scared me; he's overbearing and vicious. Who knew he could be gentle and loving?

Of course, there are twists and turns. There are the constant questions of which version of hell is better...

I will say that I like Landry, and I love Della. I can't help but wonder what it would be like to be the obsession of the Terror Triplets. After Ash's story, I decided these guys were just evil to the core, but man was I wrong! You will not be disappointed with this story, just stick out through the first third of it and the reward will be well worth it.

How can they get past old wounds to find their perfect happy ending?

When winger Blake Conti signs with the national champion Bethesda Barracudas, he isn’t looking to get involved with anyone. Still bruised from an old relationship, his focus is on playing hockey. But when one of his new teammates turns out to be the hottest man he’s ever met, Blake wonders if he should reconsider his aversion to romance.

Mark Sakamoto—Sako—one of the Barracudas’ rising young stars, is immediately smitten with Blake. Deeply closeted because he fears revealing his sexuality to his family, Sako resists his attraction by using scorn and insults to push Blake away. Hurt by Sako’s behavior, Blake reacts in kind, and the two men are soon at war.

Just as their fighting threatens to disrupt the team, the unexpected happens, and Sako and Blake bond over a silly prank. Their newfound camaraderie soon develops into a relationship, and the men become inseparable. With “ice in public, heat in private” as their motto, they keep things secret, but as they fall for each other, Sako knows he has to tell his family the truth. The locker room was empty when I got back there, and I dressed quickly. I was standing in front of my stall, buttoning my shirt, when someone called my name. Looking around, I was surprised to see Sako standing in the doorway. His hair was a mess, his face was sweaty, and his eyes were wide. The tank top he had on was soaked, and the way it stuck to his torso emphasized the hard muscle underneath.

I looked away, determined not to stare. “I didn’t know you were still here. Been in the gym?” I slipped on my loafers.

“Yeah.” His voice was low and husky. “I needed to ride the bike and clear my head.”

“Did it work?” Unable to resist, I turned my gaze back on him.

“No.” His hands were at his sides, and he opened and closed them repeatedly while his eyes darted around the room. “Anybody else still here?”

“No. You all right, Mark?”

Instead of answering, he rushed toward me and grabbed my hand. “Come here.”

He tugged, but I stayed put. “What?”

“Come with me.” He tugged harder, almost pulling me off my feet. I was too shocked to say anything as he dragged me into a small room used to store spare equipment and closed the door. Meager light filtered in through ventilation panels, and after he turned to face me, I looked into dangerous dark eyes while his thick musk filled the air.

He licked his lips and smiled. “I’m glad you’re still here.”

“You are?”

“Yes.” He leaned forward and brushed his lips against mine before backing his head away to look at me again.

I was too shocked to move. “Mark?”

“I’m really glad you’re still here.” He caressed my cheek and smiled again.

“What’s going on?” I whispered.

He wrapped his arms around me, and my legs turned to jelly. “What the hell are you doing? This isn’t—”

He shut me up by pressing his mouth against mine. I wanted to tear away, to yell at him to go to hell, but I wrapped my arms around him and kissed him back instead. I didn’t understand what the fuck I was doing. Sako and I weren’t even friends. In fact, we were probably enemies. We certainly weren’t the kind of people who kissed each other.

Pulling away from my lips, he licked the corners of my mouth. Even as my brain cried foul, I hugged him tighter, not wanting the moment to end. He kissed me again, but when his tongue probed against my lips, I pressed them together. I didn’t want Sako’s tongue in my mouth. But if that was true, why did I relax enough for him to sneak inside? I may have hated the bastard, but the thrill of him possessing me that way shook my world.

I deepened the kiss, and my tongue dueled his until I found my way inside. His smell, sweaty and sharp with need, ignited an explosion of desire, and I shoved him into a wall of boxes stacked against the storage lockers. Trapping his hands, I probed every corner of his mouth while he moaned. Time stood still until he grunted and jerked his hands free. He swiveled me around like a rag doll until I was the one pinned against the boxes with my hands clamped under his. Fire shot through me when he moved his hips against mine and our cocks ground together.

“Stop!” I yelled. “I hate you!” Just as quickly, I called out again, “Don’t stop! Please!” He didn’t react at all, and I realized the voice had been in my head. We were locked in a kiss that had my mind doing somersaults, and I wondered if we’d keep playing bump-and-grind until we both came in our pants.

Reviews by the Wicked Reads Review Team

M/M ice hockey and enemies-to-lovers, there was no way I could turn down the opportunity to read Ice Devils. Mark and Blake hate each other and are regularly trading barbs, the kind of barbs you’d expect to hear from an opponent and not a teammate. I could really feel their dislike of each other, and I would have liked it to have been explored a little more just to draw out the tension. It wasn’t long before we learned that verbal sparring was covering up intense attraction.

When Blake makes the first move, things don’t go smoothly. A few conversations the men have early on about their feelings were a little uncomfortable to read. At first, I thought perhaps the writing was a bit clunky. Then I realised that the conversations they were having as young guys with little experience of romantic love would be uncomfortable and clunky. I embraced my discomfort as well as theirs, and by the end of the story their little heart-to-hearts were really sweet.

This is a hockey story that gives us a few good games and I liked spending time on the ice with Mark and Blake and seeing the behind the scenes working of the team. Our couple are practical jokers and at first the jokes were amusing, but in the end, they were kind of gross.

I’m a huge fan of M/M ice hockey romance and Ice Devils is the first book I have read by these authors, and I really enjoyed it. It was easy to read, had a sexy couple, and wasn’t too demanding emotionally. A solid three stars from me.

4.5 stars

Sutton finally gets the break at work to head up a consulting project and show what she has got. When she walks into the boardroom the next day, she comes face-to-face with the man she spent the night with, well three of them. Turns out that her consulting job is with Sharpe International and there are three brothers, triplets to be exact. She doesn't know which brother she spent the night with.

Callahan Sharpe can't believe his eyes, the woman from last night is sitting at the same table and all he wants to do is lay her on it and continue things from last night.

Now they are stuck together on the island, trying to resurrect the resort owned by the Sharpe company, the one his father promised their mother he would buy for her. Will Sutton realize that Callahan is the man she spent the night with? Can Sutton and Callahan keep their hands to their selves and finish the job they were sent to do?

I really enjoyed this story; it is filled with fun, laughs, and pain, and Sutton and Callahan sizzle together. It has all the feels to make a great story. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Stop thinking about it. About him. You can’t. Simply put. You. Can’t. He’s your boss. He. Is. Your. Boss.

Reviews by the Wicked Reads Review Team

Rock and Troll was a cute, light-hearted read. The blurb caught my attention as it is completely out of my typical type but sounded interesting. There are paranormal aspects, mainly just the characters: Clay, a troll, and Dylan, a wood nymph. This doesn't really describe, in detail, what these characterizations entail... just little bits here and there. I realized after finishing the book that I was expecting a bit more from this.

After Dylan has unsuccessfully tried dating apps, she's ready to call it quits on the whole dating scene. It just so happens that a new matchmaking service wants to help her – and her plants will not let her ignore it!

Clay's mother has decided she is done waiting for her son to settle down. She contracts Mystical Matchmakers to find him the perfect partner. Being the good son he is, he agrees to try it out.

I will say this was a quick and quirky romance that was wholesome and humorous.

Master of Mayhem by Saxon James Blog Tour

Bro big or bro home.

Bro big or bro home.

As social chair of Sigma Beta Psi, I’m the life of the party. It’s what I’m known for, and if it’s not fun, I’m not interested, simple as that.

I’m not someone who overthinks.

So when one of my brothers hooks up with a dude from another frat house, it catches me off guard when I can’t stop thinking about them… together.

There’s only one way for me to get this obsession out of my head and that’s by jumping in with both feet and putting it into practice.

The problem is, the one guy who’s up for the ride, is the last one I’d expect.

Being risk manager of a frat house is nobody’s idea of a good time. My brothers get annoyed when I put a damper on their plans, and wrangling drunken frat brothers isn’t how I pictured my Saturday nights of senior year.

I’m bored.

In a rut.

Study, frat duties, planning for the future.

When is it my turn to let loose for a moment?

So when my dumb-as-bricks frat bro is scoping out the house for a little experimenting fun, I throw out the offer like it isn’t the most nerve-wracking thing I’ve ever considered.

I never imagined I’d actually enjoy it.

Master of Mayhem is the second installment in the Frat Wars series.

Robbie is the social chair of Sigma Beta Psi. He is always the life of the party and down for just about anything. He loves helping cause mayhem between the fraternities and sororities. But when Chad comes out and starts a relationship with Baily from Kappa, Robbie can't stop thinking about them. How does it work? How does it feel?

Brandon is the risk manager of Sigma Beta Psi. He hasn't been able to be spontaneous and fun, always looking for the danger or risk in everything the house does. When Robbie offers a chance to experiment, he can't help but want to let go and have fun for once. College is all about experimenting right? When Brandon finds himself bored with his girlfriend, Jenny, and the object of Robbie's experiment, he isn't prepared for the reaction he has. When he was first asked to kiss Robbie, and Jenny encouraged it, he wasn't expecting it to be everything he was missing with his relationship with Jenny. When a simple experiment turns into more, Brandon can't help when his heart gets involved.

Robbie and Brandon are hilarious. Robbie's bro-isms are fantastic. Watching them fall for each other during every page was as sweet as it was sexy. Brandon learns to let go and Robbie learns he doesn't always have to be so extreme. I loved that the epilogue is the exact same as book one just told from Brandon and Robbie.

I cannot wait for book three. I am here for Charles and Zeke!

This is Robbie Harrows. Thorn, splinter, pest. Creator of migraines that last for days. What have I gotten myself into? And why don’t I want to stop?

Reviews by the Wicked Reads Review Team

This book is fun, flirty, and will set your Kindle on fire if you are not careful. Emerson and Nolan are YouTubers trying to make their big break, you know the one that will make them stars and get them the big bucks so they can pay off their loans.

They have a great show about food and local restaurants, and their fans love it and them. When Nolan comes up with an idea to get them more exposure, it just might work. All the while, the feelings for each other are growing but neither one will tell the other. Emerson doesn't see herself as falling in love and Nolan thinks he isn't good enough for her.

As they head to Vegas and New York, things heat up between them and you have to wonder if the friendship will survive if they give a love relationship a chance.

I love the banter between Nolan and Emerson, the sexual tension is so hot you can almost feel it, and if there were a show on YouTube like this I would watch it. So sit back and enjoy the ride with Nolan, Emerson, and their crazy friends, you will not be disappointed.

Shut Up and Kiss Me is the second installment in the Happy Endings series. It is a complete standalone.

Emerson and Nolan are best friends who everyone thinks are together – they just have that chemistry together. They are working to push their YouTube channel about food and restaurants to the next level. When Nolan gets an idea just how to do that, it puts Emerson and Nolan together in the same room in Vegas. Neither has confessed to the other how their feelings have grown. But this one night could change everything. Are they ready to take that leap?

This is such a fun, flirty read. Emerson and Nolan have such a cute dynamic together. I love a fun, feel-good book and Lauren Blakely delivered with this one.
