Death Wish by K. Webster Blog Tour

Death Wish. USA Today Bestselling Author. K. Webster. Blog Tour. Hosted by Candi Kane PR.

All I wanted is for my little sister Della to be safe and happy. And maybe, in brief stolen moments, I dreamed of a happy ending for myself with a brown-eyed man. That hope has turned into sharp, bright fear. There's only survival now.

I'm the daughter of a controlling and cruel billionaire, so I understand about power. But I find myself fighting anyway. I find myself testing them.

I have claws and I bite. I’m not going down without a fight.

It's like I have a death wish.

This is the second and final book in the Deception Duet and it is a humdinger. Just when you think the Mannford triplets are the worst, they do something to change your mind. Turns out, they can really be nice guys and be saviors for someone.

Landry and her sister are leaving a nightmare, and she is desperate to escape and take her sister with her. Their father is abusive behind closed doors but seems to be the perfect father to the rest of the world. When Scout learns the truth, all he wants to do is kill her father and protect Landry and Della. Seems the triplets have all fallen in love with the girls.

While the world calls them the Terror Triplets, Landry and Della know them as loving and caring. Can the boys protect the girls and keep them safe from their father?

I highly recommend you read the first book because you have to know what is going on before you start this one. This story is filled with suspense, darkness (as with this author), obsession, banter, friendship, and love times three. It is the perfect way to end this duet. If you haven't read author K. Webster before, this would be a good start, although it is a spinoff from the Cinderella trilogy, I think you can read this duet without reading the other. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Shelby☆☆☆☆☆
Death Wish, book two in the Deception Duet, resumes where Triple Threat left off (quite the cliffhanger).

I can't and won't give anything away and ruin this for you, but I will say the Terror Triplets are now my heroes. They are fiercely protective of what they perceive as theirs. Scout has always scared me; he's overbearing and vicious. Who knew he could be gentle and loving?

Of course, there are twists and turns. There are the constant questions of which version of hell is better...

I will say that I like Landry, and I love Della. I can't help but wonder what it would be like to be the obsession of the Terror Triplets. After Ash's story, I decided these guys were just evil to the core, but man was I wrong! You will not be disappointed with this story, just stick out through the first third of it and the reward will be well worth it.

She chased away those old desires, replacing them with something heart-pumping and addictive. Too easily she loved me away from what I thought I wanted. Now, she is all I see, and we have her.

Landry Croft has it all, or so you would think. Her life is not like it seems to the outside world. Behind closed doors, she hates her abusive father and all she wants to do is escape with her little sister. When her father finally lets her go to college, she meets Ford, a guy who wants to be her friend, or so it seemed.

Ford Mann is one of the three Manford triplets from another series from K. Webster and they are just as bad as they were before. But this time, I think they have met their match with Landry Croft. Will they help her escape or finish their plan to destroy her father? What happens when she learns about them?

I love to read anything by author K. Webster, I didn't even know what this one was about before accepting it, I knew I would love it. This one is action-packed and filled with suspense that will keep you reading to find out what happens next. But beware of that ending, you will not know what hit you. I need more now.

Shannan☆☆☆☆
If you read the Cinderella trilogy and the Terror Triplets, this is their story. Triple Threat is the first book in the Deception Duet. You don't have to read the Cinderella trilogy to read this one, but it helps to see what their personalities are.

The triplets, Sparrow, Sully, and Scout have grown up (some) and are working for Bryant Morelli to gain information about Alex Croft, a tech billionaire, through his daughter, Landry. They focus all of their attention on Landry, and it leads to an absolutely delicious read!

Landry Croft is hiding what she deals with at home. She is the object her father's fascination – who is a sick evil man. She stays to protect her younger sister, Della, who is deaf and hated by her father for just existing.

This was everything I needed from K. Webster. She always delivers on the smexy scenes and she didn't hold back with the quad! I never thought I would be rooting the loudest for Scout, but here I am.

I can't wait for what comes next!

Shelby☆☆☆☆
Triple Threat by K. Webster is a story of the Terror Triplets: Sparrow, Sullivan, and Scout Manford. These men were originally featured in the Cinderella series (by the same author). If you haven't read it, you don't need to, but it is a good starting point. Plus, the series was really good – I enjoyed it immensely.

This story follows the three men in a job they've been placed on by the Morelli family. Each man has a different personality, they have different mannerisms, but they also have many similarities, which you will see in this story. On the other side of things, we have Landry Croft and her sister, Della, who live with their father, who just so happens to be a tech genius billionaire. We know a few things about her life: she lives in a posh home, is closely controlled by dad, and she isn't happy. I want to know what's really going on. You get a little taste of what she deals with, but you don't really know the details.

Unfortunately, when Landry needs someone, she runs to the person that insinuated themselves into her life. The question is can or WILL they be who she thinks they are?

I have to say that the triplets were totally different than I thought their characters were going to be from the Cinderella series. I am invested in getting to know them. I think I am in love with Sparrow just a little bit. I think they have so much more to offer than when we were first shown. I'm excited to keep reading the series; I need to know what happens. I need to know what happens with Landry. I need to know what happens with the boys and what the next step is!

Dragon by K. Webster Blog Tour

Dragon. Royal Bastards MC. USA Today bestselling author, K. Webster. Blog Tour.

From USA Today bestselling author K. Webster comes a new motorcycle club dark standalone M/M romance novel!

They created this monster when they took me as a teen.
Abused me, tortured me, psychologically ruined me.
I was once innocent, fragile, and good.
Now I’m older and everything wicked.
The worst of the worst.

I’m filled with fiery rage and burn with the need to avenge the death of the boy I used to be.
Vicious and violent and vindictive.
A metaphorical dragon among men, thirsty to set fire to them all.

Only my mission of depraved justice will have to wait because Prez needs me for something else. If he wasn’t single-handedly responsible for dragging me from the sick nightmare my life had become, I’d tell him exactly where to shove his stupid idea of putting me on babysitting duty.

My charge is a prospect.
Not just any prospect, but the young, innocent Cove Gale who shouldn’t be within a hundred-mile radius of this vile club I call home.
I’m supposed to be keeping him safe.
But Cove’s a reckless brat with a mouth that begs for trouble.

Prez should know better than to give me a toy to play with.
I break things and I’ll break him too.

The prospect is just a boy.
And he’s just unleashed the dragon…

***This is a gay romance and the third book in the Royal Bastards MC: Tulsa, OK series. It can be read as a standalone but may be better enjoyed after reading the first two, Koyn and Copper. Koyn and Copper are both M/F stories while this one is M/M.***

Dragon is the third installment in the Royal Bastards MC: Tulsa, OK series. It can be read as a standalone, but I think it is so much better if you read it in the order the author intended for the most enjoyment.

Dragon (aka Chase) and Cove meet in the worst circumstances humanly possible. They are both being held captive and abused at will by Night Giant. When they escape to become part of the Royal Bastards, they are free but those intense demons that lurk in the shadows are still there. Being held captive has led to Dragon having a very dark side, and with Cove sharing that past, they have a connection neither can understand. The chemistry and passion between them high.

I loved the interactions between these characters, it was everything I needed. Dragon is the perfect mix of crazy and sweet, especially for Cove. Cove doesn't understand why he needs Dragon but he does.

Easily, Dragon is probably my favorite of the series, but I am I sucker for Webster’s m/m!!

Angie☆☆☆
I want to start by saying I haven't read any of the previous books in this series. It was a struggle for me to get through this book. Not because of the subject matter, but because I couldn't connect with any of the characters. I couldn't get invested in the story. I have been on a dark read kick, so I was really looking forward to this book. Dragon had issues and for good reason, but I felt nothing for him. Cove I could sort of connect with at times, like when his boyfriend got back with his ex. Ugh, I so wanted to love this book. The revenge was good in this book, fast but good. I just needed that connection and if I would have had it, then I probably would have been dragged into this and spit out, instead of sluggishly trying to finish.

I love when you whimper for me. I also love it when you scream.

Canyon Voss was on top of the world. He was popular, had an amazing girlfriend and tons of friends until his world collapsed. His dad broke up his family, left his mother and proposed to a man. Canyon's concern these days is revenge against his father, his father's fiancé, and his soon-to-be stepbrother. The thought of making them pay for ruining his family is all he can think about it consumes him.

“If I want to hurt Dad, I hurt Quinn. And if I want to hurt Quinn, I go for his beloved son. There’s a method to my madness.”

Alister was adopted by Quinn. His childhood wasn't the best and he's always waiting for the other shoe to drop and he'll lose everything, including his dad. Alister tries to be the best at everything he does to keep his dad happy, whether it's track or his classes. When Canyon switches his schedule to be in Alister's classes and quits the football team to join track team to make Alister less than the best.

Canyon thinks he's winning at this revenge game he's playing with Alister, but he never expects Alister to be such a worthy opponent.

This enemies-to-lovers angsty read was everything! The push and pull between Canyon and Alister made for a perfect read. I was completely invested from page one and couldn't wait to see how it all played out! Such a good read! Highly recommend!!

Mary☆☆☆☆
Author K. Webster is known for her angsty stories that will rip your heart out or make you wonder what you just read. But either way, you will be glad you read it in the end. This is one of those stories.

Canyon and Alister grew up as friends because their fathers were friends. But when Canyon's father leaves his mother for Alister's father, all Canyon sees is revenge. And the way to get that is through Alister. What Canyon didn't see coming was the way Alister really was and the feelings he felt for him almost immediately.

As Canyon pursues his revenge, or so he thought, his feelings for Alister begin to grow. As they explore each other and a relationship begins, his revenge turns to something more. Will Canyon continue to let revenge rule his mind? Can Canyon and Alister make a relationship work?

This is a story you will not see coming until it hits you in the face – and it is worth reading. Just be aware that a past will break your heart, but the story is perfect in the end.

Erica☆☆☆
5 stars for the romantic tension between Canyon & Alis.
2 stars for the "side quest"
3 stars overall.

Canyon has a vendetta against his soon-to-be stepbrother, wishing to hurt his father by hurting his father's new fiancé by hurting the fiancé's adoptive son, which causes Canyon to lose himself in the process.

With all bully romances, I always struggle with the bullying aspects due to the fact that they generally make zero sense, the bitterness always coming out of left field. Feuds and Reckless Fury attempts to make a believable reason for Canyon's animosity, even if it's directed at the wrong party, which he knows is the case, but he can't seem to help himself. So on that front, while not a punch to the gut, there was an air of believability.

Romantic tension in spades, rolling with the fact that a seemingly straight dude is vibing on his almost stepbrother was also believable. There wasn't much angst there aside from the stepbrother factor, but it sure was loaded with a delicious push-pull tension that could be cut with a knife. The novel shined when it came to the interplay between Canyon and Alis, where the pages just couldn't turn fast enough.

The slowly building romance between a pair of enemies turned allies turned lovers turned stepbrothers was written flawlessly.

Where the novel fell short:

The dads. They are written as too clueless, to the point that it's a wonder their children survived to the teenage years. The divorce strife is very realistic, the guilt the kids experience, along with feeling as if they're taking a side by continuing to love both of their parents. This truly tugged the heartstrings. But the dads were too clueless to feel realistic. I find it hard to believe dad would pop the question out of nowhere without the kids having a single clue about their fathers having an affair.

But what truly yanked me out of the realm of realism is the side quest. I won't go into detail, avoiding spoilers. There was enough angst, strife, and drama without the attempts on Alis' life, because it makes the dads yet again look like fools. When someone attempts to kill their son, they just sigh and do nothing about it. No police. Nothing. Someone dies in their presence... nothing. Absolutely nothing. They have money but take no steps to protect three teenagers? Besides foolish and clueless, this is downright negligence. No one bats an eyelash at this. Bizarre.

Why this portion bothered me so much, what was a solid romance filled with angst and drama and delicious tension, all of it realistic, all the sudden Alis is behaving as a too stupid to live, damsel in distress most readers complain about when reading MF romance, making idiotic decisions to force the hero to rescue him. This could have been realistic, a punch to the gut angsty, still utilizing most of the plot, without the "mafia" angle tossed in. It just took something that was amazing into over-the-top territory, a territory I don't wish to visit.

Even still, I do recommend to readers simply because of Canyon and Alis. The dads needed to be written more realistically (me being near their age, I try to envision myself being so freaking idiotic, especially educated, wealthy men).

Angie☆☆☆
I am sure I will be in the minority but this book was a miss for me. The blurb sounded great, and the book might have been better if the main characters were older. Their age played such a huge part for me. That's why Canyon was such an immature little turd and couldn't get over the fact of his dad living his true life as a gay man and divorcing his mom. Alister gave as good as he got with Canyon. I don’t know, I guess I couldn't get over the fact that if Canyon was older he wouldn't have been such a douche about things.

The Glass Slipper by K. Webster Blog Tour

The Glass Slipper by K. Webster Blog Tour

Betraying the most powerful man in New York wasn’t something I ever envisioned when I first started playing games with Winston Constantine. But he’s engaged in far more dangerous games than ours, and his enemies are out for blood.

Winston has my heart, the Morellis have incriminating photos, and I’m left with nothing except three stepbrothers who want to hurt me and a future in doubt. I knew Winston wouldn’t be my prince charming, but that didn’t stop me from falling for him.

After all, the slippers fit, and I let myself believe I’d be dancing with Winston forever.

Until too much truth comes to light.

Until I realize instead of ruling the board, I was just a pawn.

In the end, I have only one question. When his game with me is over, will I be able to pretend as if the glass slipper wasn’t a perfect fit?

This is the last of the Cinderella series by K. Webster and the perfect ending for Winston and Ash. The last book, Prince Charming, ended on a cliffhanger that left me on the edge and I wasn't sure how this one was going to go. There was so much that Ash needed to tell Winston, but she thought she was keeping his family safe by keeping secrets. Secrets can destroy everyone involved, even when not meant to.

This whole series is filled with a rollercoaster of emotions and it is hot, steamy, and raw. Winston is the ultimate alpha male, and, in the beginning, Ash thinks she is weak but learns that she is strong and can be independent. But it takes Winston to make her see that she has a backbone and knows how to defend herself.

There are twists and turns that you will not expect, so sit back and enjoy the ride. I loved everything about this series, Ash and Winston are perfect. Author K. Webster is the best at pulling you into a story and twisting you right along with it, one of my favorite twisted-minded authors that I love to read.

Shannan☆☆☆☆☆
The Glass Slipper is the third and final installment in the Cinderella series. This conclusion is everything I wanted it to be for this couple.

The Glass Slipper picked up right where Prince Charming left us on the cliffhanger. Ash admitted to hiding things from Win regarding the Morellis. Win knew he shouldn't forgive her, but he couldn't stay away. Ash knew Win cared, she just had to make him see how much. I love the conclusion Webster gave us. It was perfect for this couple!

I wasn't aware this is part of a collection and I could get more of the Morelli story! I picked up Secret Beast by Amelia Wilde. I can't wait to get Caroline's secrets!!

Shelby☆☆☆☆☆
The Glass Slipper (book three in the Cinderella series) was absolutely everything I hoped for and more!

The book picks up at the insane cliffhanger, anxiety fully in control of this situation as Winston had found out what Ash was involved in. (It's not good, just in case you haven't read it yet.) When trust is broken, it's nearly impossible to find the ability to move on together. When that broken trust involves your mortal enemy, well you can probably piece together the rest. Which is the lesser evil: the enemy you know or the one you don't?

What I loved about The Glass Slipper is that while I was on the edge of my seat, I didn't know what was going to happen. I hoped, but didn't know. There were twists upon twists, with turns in the middle. I had no idea what was going on, who was really involved, and if anything was going to be fixed. Win and Ash are just explosive together, and I can't wait to read about the rest of Constantines!

Shift of Morals by K. Webster Blog Tour

Blog Tour. K. Webster’s Shift of Morals. Wolves of Beacon Island.

From USA Today bestselling author K. Webster comes an angst-filled, steamy age-gap M/M shifter standalone romance!

I found him when he was a boy.
Bloody. Mangled. Near death.
If I’d been a merciful Alpha, I would’ve snapped his neck and ended him right then.

Except, I didn’t.
Something in his big brown eyes tugged at my heart strings.
I kept him. Healed him. Raised him to be fierce, loyal, and brave.

Now that he’s an adult, everything’s changing.
He’s no longer the soft, scared boy I once thought he was.
No, there’s an uncontrollable anger inside him.
A rage-filled hate I don’t understand.

As a dangerous pack begins tormenting us and destroying our home, I feel him pulling from me as he seeks justice.
He thirsts for revenge, even if it means leaving our pack and going solo.
But, as his Alpha, I won’t let him go without a fight.

Each time he pushes, I pull him right back to me.
I’ll keep him locked in my arms or pinned beneath me forever if that’s what it takes to keep him.
A shift of morals has begun.
One I don’t understand, but certainly don’t resist.

I’m the most powerful wolf on Beacon Island. I don’t have weaknesses.
Until now.
This wild, reckless young man changed everything when he stole my heart.

This book is a steamy standalone MM age-gap shifter romance. No other books need to be read before or after this one as it is a complete story with a happily ever after.

Excerpt

A sigh of frustration escapes me. It’s a ragged, raspy sound that grates on my nerves. Everything pisses me off lately. Myself. Them. Him.

Cyrus Hames is my keeper.

My boss.

Warden to my prison.

I hate him.

Not like the monster who stole so much from me. In a different sort of way. I hate him for finding me—for not letting me die with them. For forcing me to live a life filled with emptiness and pain. I once was a talkative child, much to my mother’s playful annoyance, but that night changed everything. I blocked out what I could to preserve my sanity. I haven’t spoken a word since.

Not by choice.

No, the thing that attacked us made that decision for me when he tried to rip my throat out. As if I’m thrust back to that night, the scarred flesh burns with such agony tears spring in my eyes. It’s difficult to keep myself walled and shut off from the invasion of my pack, but I’ve been practicing more lately. If they sense I’m hurting, they’ll all run to me, hovering to fix it, as if they can pluck the terrible memories right from my brain.

They can’t.

All they’ll be successful in doing is suffocating me. I yearn to meet other people my age. To explore beyond the edge of the woods where we live. To visit cities and eat at restaurants and experience what life has to offer.

They saved me so they could trap me.

It's been a long time since I read a paranormal romance. I don't know why. If it's m/m I am usually always in. I said yes to this one on a whim. One, it's K. Webster and I'll pretty much read anything she writes, and two, it's m/m, so win-win, right? YES, huge win for me. I instantly was invested in these characters.

Shift of Morals is the fifth installment in the Kingdom of Wolves series. It can (and was) read as a standalone. This is a multi-author series and appear to all be standalones.

Cyrus is an alpha. He made his own pack after leaving his father. Finding Remy attacked in the woods, he knows he should take the child out of his misery, but something stops him from doing it. Alone and with his family murdered, Remy is taken in by Cyrus and the pack.

Remy is close to turning eighteen and hasn't had the ability to speak after he was attacked in the woods. He's a brooding teenager, but something is changing within him. Something Cyrus is starting to notice.

I was completely invested in Remy and Cyrus and their relationship. It was funny and sweet and so erotically charged. Made for a very good, quick read! I honestly wish there were more books about the secondary characters written by Webster. I would love to read those!!

I wasn’t given a choice. I was forced to live with him. Forced into a family that doesn’t treat me like an equal but more of an asset they must protect. I’m tired of being fragile. So fucking tired. ~ Remy
