Full Throttle by Lisa Henry Release Blitz

Lights Out Series. RJ Scott, Lisa Henry, Charlie Novak, H.L. Day, Emma Jaye & Beth Laycock.

When Lennox and Connor race full throttle into a secret relationship, can they navigate the track, or will they crash and burn?

Lennox Bradley is Formula 1 royalty. His father was an F1 champion, and so is his brother, so expectations are high for Lennox’s debut season. But when he suffers a koala-related PR disaster at the Australian Grand Prix, he’s thrust into the media spotlight. For an introvert like Lennox, it’s a nightmare.

Connor Blake doesn’t know the first thing about Formula 1, but as communications manager for Bradley Racing, it’s his job to manage the fallout for Lennox. Except Lennox isn’t anything like the arrogant, shallow guy he’s expecting, and it gets harder and harder to deny the magnetism between them. When Connor and Lennox both have to choose what it is they really want for themselves, is there any room for a future together?

This M/M romance from Lisa Henry features a secret relationship, two guys who are bad at admitting their feelings, pining, and is set in the high octane world of Formula 1 featuring fast cars, driving at the limit, spectacular crashes, heated rivalries, and of course, a HEA.

**Each book in the Lights Out collection is a standalone story, and the books can be read in any order.**

Lennox Bradley is following in his father's and brother's footsteps as an F1 driver. His father, Andrew, is a past champion and the owner of the team with the goal of making Lennox and his older brother the one and two drivers for Bradley racing. Lennox was just pulled up as the reserve driver and has a PR nightmare happen. Connor has been called in to turn the disaster into a positive. Lennox knows he messed up and has to do what needs to be done to make it right but the longer he's in F1, he realizes it's the last place he wants to be.

Lennox has made Connor's job harder, but Connor sees glimpses of the real Lennox. The one that he keeps hidden, and he can't help but want to learn more. Sleeping with someone you are representing isn't a great idea but falling for Lennox is the easiest thing Connor has ever done.

Lisa Henry is a new author to me, as well as F1 since starting this series. I enjoyed everything about this read. The pace, the romance, the angst. I honestly could not put it down. I can't wait to check out Henry's backlist as well as what comes next for this series.

Ruthie☆☆☆☆
This is one of the Lights Out series, which I am enjoying a great deal. I love Formula 1 and these books are really giving a different perspective on what "could be" in a seemingly very 'straight' world.

Lennox has been called up as a F1 reserve driver to join his brother. His father owns the team, and the second driver is just waiting until he is passed over, so that Lennox gets a drive. This is not what Lennox wants at all – he is much more interested in developing new talent, but his father wants his sons to race. After a bit of a PR disaster involving a koala, the team's PR guy, Connor, has to rehabilitate Lennox.

I loved the evolving relationship between these two guys. Thrown together due to the incident, but both realising that there is a forbidden attraction, and the danger of being outed. Whilst Connor lives his truth, he is all too aware of what that could cost Lennox.

A very entertaining read, thank you!

Author Bio

Lisa Henry. Male Male Romance.

LISA HENRY likes to tell stories, mostly with hot guys and happily ever afters. But they've gotta work for it! No free lunches on her watch.

Lisa lives in tropical North Queensland, Australia. She doesn't know why, because she hates the heat, but she suspects she's too lazy to move. She spends half her time slaving away as a government minion, and the other half plotting her escape.

She attended university at sixteen, not because she was a child prodigy or anything, but because of a mix-up between international school systems early in life. She studied History and English, neither of them very thoroughly.

She shares her house with too many cats, a dog, a green tree frog that swims in the toilet, and as many possums as can break in every night. This is not how she imagined life as a grown-up.

Lisa has been published since 2012, and was a LAMBDA finalist for her quirky, awkward coming-of-age romance Adulting 101, and a Rainbow Awards finalist for 2019’s Anhaga.

Ruthie☆☆☆☆☆
This is the fourteenth book in this amazing series – and be very clear, you absolutely need to read these books in order. That is quite a challenge, but wow, one definitely worthwhile. In this book you will get some further answers to questions which have long taxed us, and some wonderful tying up of links and twists. Don't expect not to be dragged through the ringer to get there... but SO worthwhile!

If it has been a while since you read the last installment, then you will find that the early chapters do help to fix in time where we are, and how we got there – I was intensely grateful for this connecting of past events with current complications. The pace is fabulous, with pauses to give one time to take it all in and then speeding up as things get tense, and the game is in play.

I defy you not to be amazed at how much you remember from previous books, but had no idea how they could all be tied together – well, one should always have confidence in the very talented (and possibly inhabited by a crazy muse) Erica Chilson!

Author Bio

ERICA CHILSON does not write in the 3rd person, wanting her readers to be her characters. Therefore, writing a bio about herself, is uncomfortable in the extreme.

Born, raised, and here to stay, the Wicked Writer is a stump-jumper, a ridge-runner. Hailing from North Central Pennsylvania, directly on the New York State border; she loves the changes in seasons, the humid air, all the mountainous forest, and the gloomy atmosphere.

Introverted, but not socially awkward, Erica prides herself on thinking first and filtering her speech. There are days she doesn’t speak at all. If it wasn’t for the fact that she lives with her parents, giving her a sense of reality, she would be a hermit, where the delivery man finds her months after expiration.

Reading was an escape, a way to leave a not-so pleasant reality behind. Reading lent Erica the courage she gathered from the characters between the pages to long for a different life. Writing was an instrument of change, evolving Erica into the woman she is today – a better, more mature, more at peace thinker.

Erica has a wicked mind, one she pours out into her creations. Her filter doesn’t allow all of it to erupt, much to her relief. Sarcastic, with a very dark, perverse sense of humor, Erica puts a bit of herself into every character she writes.

Don’t Date a DILF by DJ Jamison Release Blitz

Release Blitz. Don’t Date a DILF by DJ Jamison. May 25 – 29.

I have one rule to live by: Don't Date a DILF.

I've seen the consequences of blurring the boundaries between teaching life and dating life, and I'm not about to take that kind of risk.

But I didn't count on Hunter Rhodes walking into my school. Never expected that the broad-shouldered, stubble-jawed, absolute glory of a man would be such a sweet and caring father. Or that as a seemingly straight man, he might decide he wants me.

If my Nana has her way... I'll be in love with someone by the end of the school year, but there's only one man who tempts me.

With her matchmaking becoming overwhelming and half the single women in Granville setting their sights on Hunter, we're both feeling the pressure. Faking a relationship could get everyone off our backs.

It seems like fun and games for Hunter, but separating pretend feelings from real won't be so simple for me. And then there's that rule...

Can I date a DILF without disaster—or will all my fears come true?

Don't Date a DILF is book 1 of Rules We Break, a spin-off series from Games We Play, set in the small, quirky town of Granville, where nosy residents meddle in one another's lives, great friendships are made, and silly innuendos are a way of life.

Excerpt

Clark’s voice filtered in from the hallway.

“Nana, for the last time, I was trying… Yeah, well, maybe I should run all your proposed dates through my friends first if you think Percy Helix was a good choice!”

I smirked at his sass, then had to muffle a laugh when he followed it up with, “No, I’m not being sassy. I’m sorry, Nana.”

Fuck, that was adorable.

Clark was a grown man who had his shit together far more than I ever would, and yet here he was, getting scolded by his grandmother. There was something so sweet and wholesome about that.

He glanced toward the classroom and caught sight of me through the doorway. He held up one finger, in the universal sign to wait a minute.

“We can talk more later, Nana. I have a parent here for a meeting, okay? But I really don’t think another setup is a good idea… Because I don’t. Because it’s uncomfortable!” He groaned theatrically. “Yes, okay, we’ll talk later.”

He lowered the phone and turned toward me.

I winced. “Sorry. I didn’t mean to eavesdrop.”

He shrugged. “Well, you were at the pub, so… not like you didn’t know already.”

“Your nana feels pretty strongly about setting you up with a date, huh?”

“Unfortunately.”

“My mother hassles me every time we talk too,” I said.

“Must be something in the water,” Clark said with a pout.

Still adorable.

“Yeah, I actually lost my cool at work. Yelled at Tucker about how everyone in this town wants me to date. You know what we should do?”

“What?”

“Go on a date together.” I laughed. “That would shut everyone up.”

Clark’s eyes widened. “I think it would do the opposite.”

“You know what I mean though. Can’t set up a couple of guys who are already dating.” I wiggled my eyebrows. “Genius, right?”

Clark Fletcher moved back to his hometown and was teaching in the local high school. He learned at his last job, after his friend was involved in a scandal, not to date the parent of a student. But does the parent of an after-school program student count? Clark has always had a crush on Hunter Rhodes. When Hunter moves back, after a very rough divorce, with his son, Toby. Hunter is trying to do everything possible to make it an easy transition for Toby, but it isn't easy. Toby is having trouble in school and needs some extra help, so when the school recommends Clark's after-school program Hunter is hopeful. Hunter is the object of everyone's attention since he's been back. He's not interested in dating anyone. And with Clark's grandmother trying to set him up with any single man in town, Hunter jokes they should "fake" date to stop all the set-ups. What starts as fake quickly turns into more, which confuses both Hunter (who thought he was straight) and Clark. Can Clark stop himself from falling for the DILF? Will Hunter let his walls down and fall for the first man he finds attractive?

I was so invested in these characters and their meddling neighbors. It was a fun, emotional read. Hunter was so determined to make the divorce transition easy for Toby that he was willing to be miserable, but finding Clark was everything they both needed. It seemed almost seamless to have Clark in their lives.

I can't wait to see what's next for this sweet little town.

Angie☆☆☆☆
I have to be honest, the first half of the book was a struggle for me. It was slow and had a lot of inner monologue. Once things finally started moving and there was actual consistent dialogue, I was finally able to connect with Carter and Hunter and enjoy their story. This was a low-angst, semi-slow-burn, love story. Once they finally dove in though, it was steamy as all get out. I loved how Toby was also a big part of the story. I loved how open to things Hunter was, he was a genuine good guy who loved the person, not the gender. Carter was sweet but always doubting things. These two were smoking hot once things were a go and I was there for it! LOL. I will read the next book, the teaser for it has me intrigued.

This is the first book in a new series of stories connected only by its 'grey' morals. I recommend it to you as a story which will make you think just where your limits lie – and how far you will let a character go before you cast judgment on their actions and question the acceptance of them by their partner. It is a fascinating push, which I have to admit I enjoyed greatly, even when I was feeling somewhat uncomfortable. There is, however, also a lot of humour and unexpected fun to be had, as well as some wonderfully passionate moments.

I have not read others' reviews yet but am very curious to see how they felt about it! And I am most definitely looking to how far my limits are pushed in the next installment!

Ruthie☆☆☆☆
This is one of a new series of books based in Formula 1 (F1) and I am delighted to get to read them, as I am a big fan of both F1 and MM sports romance.

The book starts with a devastating crash which puts Noah's co-driver, Augusto, in hospital and means that rookie Archie steps up from reserve driver into Augusto's seat. I felt the dynamics of this change from the perspectives of Noah, Archie, and the team were really well written, and anyone new to the sport would have felt they gained a good understanding of the world of F1.

Inconveniently, Archie has had a huge crush on Noah since he was a teenager, and this has not gone away, even though he has realised that Noah has no interest in men. Noah, however, remembers the strange feeling of jealousy that he had when he saw Archie kiss a guy after a party a few years ago. But he is also sure that he should not mix attraction to the man with racing him on the track.

As the story unfolds, we get to enjoy two guys breaking the rules, and yet somehow keeping their private life just that! And I should give you a tissue warning – I certainly needed one, if not two, in this book, it really does have all the feels.

I am looking forward to reading more in the series.

Shannan☆☆☆☆
Team Orders is the first book in the multi-author series, Lights Out. It is a Formula 1 racing series, which if I am being honest have never watched and/or read. BUT Team Orders pulled me in from page one and I couldn't put it down.

Noah's co-driver, Augusto, ends up in a devastating crash which has him barely hanging on to life and in need of multiple surgeries, taking him out of commission for the foreseeable future. This is where Archie, the reserve driver, who is a rookie, takes over as the co-driver or second. Noah has been racing for some time and has had an incredible career but because of sponsorships and the company he drives for, he has to keep himself in the closet. He's out to his family and closest friends but the public has no idea. When Archie is hired as the reserve driver, Noah remembers Archie from an F2 party, seeing him kiss another man. Archie has always had hero worship for Noah. Noah was everything Archie wanted to be and when an unexpected kiss happens between them, Archie is barely able to hide the feelings he has for Noah.

This was an emotional rollercoaster for me. I was brought to tears more than once watching Archie and Noah fight for the career they absolutely love and the freedom to be who they are and love who they want. And I learned so much about F1 that I never knew that I wanted to know.

I can't wait to see what's next in this fun world of racing!

Ruthie☆☆☆☆
This is the fourth book in the series, and I would definitely recommend that you read them all and in order, but if you are impatient to read this one, then you could always go back later and get more insight into the family dynamics.

Jamie has what is now a somewhat unfair reputation of being a player – one with manners and honesty, but still not one to settle down. Recently that has gotten old, but he hasn't found a reason to argue about it, he is too invested in showing his parents that he can do a good job of running the family pub whilst they go on an extended holiday.

Just as it seems that he has everything under control, a baby is left on his doorstep and all carefully laid plans are blown to the wind. His siblings all gather round to help, and their solution is to find a nanny. As it happens, their long-time friend (and his nemesis) Fallon is home after losing a job in early years administration – so should be a perfect fit... except for the nemesis bit!

Watching these two people work together for the good of the baby, but avoid each other at the same time is entertaining and it feels inevitable that they will realise that the distance between love and hate is short. What I really liked about this book, though, is that it then deals much more carefully with the issues of why the mum left her child, and how things should be going forward. This, for me, was done really well, and reminds us all not to judge without all the facts.

A lovely mixture of really funny moments, as well as poignant and loving ones. Another good read in this series, thank you!

Ruthie☆☆☆☆
This is a really good read – a chilling subject, and yet thanks to the nature of the lead character, Morgan, a really heartwarming and lovely story emerges from disaster.

We hear all the time about identity theft, but the extremes that the evil perpetrator goes to in this novel have a very sadistic side. The impact on Morgan's finances and life is extraordinarily awful. But her resilience and unwavering hope make her a survivor and though she has to change direction, she makes the most of what she has left. I highly enjoyed reading about her working ways and plans. She deserves all the good things that could be in her future.

Her mum and gran are a pair of fabulous side characters who most definitely give her the reassurance to believe that the women in her family thrive even in adversity. Lots of lovely scenes between the ladies!

A fascinating, disturbing, and yet warm and romantic story from the very talented Nora Roberts, thank you!
