Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is the sixth and final book in the series – and not only does it give us a really lovely story to end on, but it also makes sure that the rest of the couples take part in the mission to give these two guys a second chance.

Mack and Davey divorced mostly because Mack forced Davey to choose between his career and his family. Davey chose his career, because that is how he believed he brought value to their family. Neither were happy about it, and when Davey is not at work, he spends it in the spare room of their family home, so he can still see their children. This time he also sees Mack go out on a date... spurring him to think about whether he can really live without him!

With some help, and some non-help from Art in particular, the two men separately try and get help from their mutual friends to make the other see that they should be together. It is a square that needs to be circled, and yet it takes some home truths for them both to understand what changes could be needed to get a fresh start.

I really enjoyed the humour which is brought by the chat groups, the passion which spills over even when they are trying to be sensible, and the clear evidence that they love each other, but communicate poorly.

Very enjoyable end to the series, thank you, Saxon James – already looking forward to the next one!

I struggle with how many stars to rate this book. I have been soooo excited for this last book. If you've read previous books in the series, you have been waiting patiently to see if Mack and Davey get back together. We all know this is a second-chance book and we all want them to get back together. But what I personally didn't want was to rehash the same stuff over and over and over again the first sixty percent of the book. It was tiring, frustrating, and I just wanted someone in the DMC to stick Mack and Davey in a room and say hash this out and don't come out until you do.

My heart did break for both Davey and Mack. You can tell they both still love each other and they both want to be together. But instead of being adults and talking things out, they both had ideas on how to get the other back and things just spun in a circle too long in the book. One simple, honest conversation could have spared them and the reader all the BS.

I did like how Mack was finally able to wake up and figure out he needed to work on himself. Mack was a mess, who throws out divorce as an option and then doesn't say wait I really don't want one but I'm serious about things needing to change? Two years of being miserable for not being able to communicate.

When Davey and Mack both got their heads out of their butts and finally admitted what each were feeling and wanted, the book got much better. They were both still not communicating like they should since they were both still thinking of ways to solve things but not hashing it out with each other.

In the end it all worked out. We got a good epilogue on them and the other DMC members. I hate that the series is over and that the last book didn't go out with a bang but I hope a new series is in the works.

Forgotten Romance is the sixth and final installment in the Divorced Men's Club.

Davey and Mack are ending their marriage in the beginning of the book. They loved each other more than anything, but at that time in their marriage they both needed different things that they weren't getting from the other. Davey was the sole provider and his work had him leaving for two weeks at a time. Mack was home with two small children alone. Mack felt Davey was putting his work over their family and Mack just wanted him to be there for the family more. Davey worked hard to be where he was in his job. He was working so hard to make a wonderful life for his family, but at what cost? When Mack said they should divorce, he didn't truly want that and Davey would do anything (but leave his job) to make Mack happy, so he agreed. Mack needed Davey to choose the family and when he didn't, Mack was devastated. They agreed that to make it easier for the kids, they would continue to live together when Davey was home for those two weeks each month.

Davey and Mack don't want to go on like they are. They each want to show the other they want their relationship back and enlist the rest of the DMC to help. Honestly, the book could have been completed with one simple conversation, but I loved how it all played out. I have been rooting for these two since the beginning, they so deserved their happily ever after. I enjoyed getting to see the rest of the DMC and their partners in this final book. I'm sad to see it's over but I truly enjoyed the ride to get here.

Bromantic Puckboy is the sixth book in the Puckboys series. It can be read as a standalone without issue but with this series, I highly recommend reading the series in the order that the authors intended to get the full effect of the Collective and their friendships.

Cody Bilson has a relationship issue. He's been married four times to women he thought were The One. When it all becomes too much, he requests a trade from Seattle. When he lands in Nashville, he wants it to be his new beginning – for him to not jump into a relationship and mix sex with love. So trying to refrain is the only way he thinks it will work. Being the new guy on the team is tough even if he's been in the league for years, making friends with the new goalie seems like a safe place to start. Taking Miles under his wing is easy, he enjoys the banter and quirky goalie. As their friendship grows, Miles tries to help him out with a suggestion that won't lead to marriage, blow off steam with a man... him. Neither Cody nor Miles is gay but there are definitely some gray areas in their relationship. When Cody takes Miles up on his offer, they agree to not let it get awkward; but what happens when feelings get involved and everything isn't as straight as they thought?

I adored their story. I loved all of Miles’ little quirks and Cody just accepting them for what they were. I was brought to tears when Miles tells his parents about their relationship. It was written very well. I love a successful coming out scene! The chemistry they shared was so easy and explosive. They were never awkward or weird being with a man for the first time, it just worked.

I can't wait for what's next!!


Erica – ☆☆☆☆
Bromantic Puckboy is the sixth installment of the Puckboys series. While it can easily be read as a standalone, it's best to read in order for optimal emotional payoff, as past narrators have cameos and their stories would be spoiled if read out of order.

Not gonna lie, it was a struggle for my head to keep which narrator was which. Bilson and Miles looked the same to me, or read in the same tone. All through the book, I kept having to either page-back to see who was listed as the narrator or use context clues. There were no narrator changes during the chapter but my mind just couldn't keep which narrator was speaking. A combo of their names and near similar voices.

Low drama. Slow-burn romance. Insta-lust.

Both Miles and Bilson were sweethearts. Charming. Awkward. Eccentric. Add in a ratdog and the warm and fuzzy quotient goes through the roof. Realistic stumbling blocks versus manufactured drama.

Bilson is escaping the city where all four of his ex-wives dwell, while attempting to learn from his mistakes.

Miles is a rookie goalie with a strong sense of family.

Both believe they're straight and come to realize they're actually bi in exactly the same way, with no internal struggles.

The sweethearts were super cute, fun, and endearing. This made for a warm and fuzzy read with no drama. Everyone was super supportive with no outside forces at play.

While I enjoyed the lighthearted journey, Miles and Bilson were a bit too much alike, thought processes and speech, so it was like they were the same character but Miles had pet rocks and a fam, while Bilson had a dog and a bunch of ex-wives, and everything else was the same.

It was cute and light, endearing with some humor, but not that deep.


Angie – ☆☆☆☆
I will say I haven't read any of the previous books and I was still able to enjoy this book.

Bilson and Miles captured my heart from the very beginning. I loved watching these two and their bromance blossom into so much more. I loved their silliness, their chemistry, and their journey. Each of them was missing something and needed each other more than they knew. Bilson and Miles just melted my heart.


Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is the sixth book in this series, and a really fun addition to it. Miles and Bilson are just such a fabulous mix of eager new first team goalie, and running from his romantic past experienced NHL veteran, which works from a sports perspective as well as from the bromance one!

There is so much comedic gold in this book, and it will be best experienced fresh, so I will say no more. But alongside the silliness, there is a gorgeous story of friendship, of two people really caring about each other, and of realising much about themselves and each other. It is low angst, delicious intimacy, and has the perfect outcome.

I read it straight through in one go, as I had to know just how Eden Finley and Saxon James were going to give them, and us, just what was needed – mission accomplished, lovely story – and one to go on my reread pile, as it will never fail to raise a smile. Thank you!

The Revenge Agenda is the third book in the Accidental Love series. It can be read as a standalone but does read so much better in the order the author intended.

Rush didn't know surprising his boyfriend on their year anniversary would turn into the worst day of his life. What he thought would be a cute, fun time turned into finding out his boyfriend was engaged, he was the other man, and the fiancé’s family saw way more of him than he would like. Rush can't read people well; he doesn't get social cues, so being up front and direct is best for him. His ADHD won't let his brain work like other people’s – he has his own tips and tricks to help him stay focused. He's good at his job but it just has to be done in his own time. When the new boss walks in, Rush is in a panic to realize it's his ex’s fiancé. He thinks he's about to get fired. He doesn't hate Hunter. Hunter didn't know about him either. He feels bad that Hunter is still so hurt by what their ex did. Rush wants to help him and what better way to do that than a revenge plan.

Hunter can't believe his luck. He gave up his job and moved to a different state, all to be with his ex-fiancé and make a life together. Until he finds out he's been cheated on, and now is his ex’s side piece's boss and he doesn't have anywhere to live but a hotel. Hunter wants to hate Rush but there is something about him that he just can't. And when the guys at Big Bertha's give them the idea to get revenge on their ex, Hunter can't think of anything else. Not because he wants revenge so bad – he does – but he wants his mouth on Rush's more than anything else.

I loved getting a peek inside Rush's head. My mind is a very quiet place and I don't always understand what people with ADHD and anxiety are going through and this helped me to understand the daily chaos that they go through more clearly. I fell in love with him even more! He's a teddy bear I just want to snuggle and keep safe forever! Hunter was so patient and calm with Rush. They had such chemistry.

Can we please discuss Madden? If I didn't already love him, seeing this side to him was everything! I am going to need his book ASAP!

“The living room is where we have our important meetings.”

“And this is an important meeting?”

“Of course.” He gives me one of his bright smiles.

And this is exactly why I find it so hard to ignore him and act like he’s any other employee. I really had no hope when it came to him. Not when he’s so… pure. Happy. Pretty fucking naive. It’s becoming clear to me how Ian had such an easy time of stringing him along and why Rush didn’t notice he was being played.

With me in another city and Rush distracted and unfocused, we were perfect prey. I wonder what he looked for in those other men.

I shake it off before my mood can take a nosedive. Plotting revenge requires anger, not sadness. But before we can step into the room, Rush pauses, turning slightly and setting his fingertips on my chest. The touch is so unexpected it takes me a moment to realize he’s said something.

“What?”

“Just checking you’re still okay with this? It’s sort of weird, having you here. And I don’t want you to judge my friends once it’s over because things might get strange, but please give them a chance. They all have big hearts.” Rush’s voice is sort of scratchy but so sincere, his hazel eyes dancing in the dim light of the hall.

“Wait. You think I’m going to judge them?”

“Obviously. We’re not like you.”

Like me. Fucking hell. I want to head butt the wall to prove to him I’m not as in control as he thinks. “All morning, I’ve been freaking out thinking they’re going to judge me.”

“Really?”

“Yeah. I want them to like me, obviously.”

“But why? You might never have to see them after today.”

That’s the question, isn’t it? Why do I care what this bunch of random men think? I’m comfortable in social settings most of the time, but since moving here, my confidence has taken a real hit. Being the guy with a stable job and a stable relationship helped create this perfect family guy persona, and without that, I think I’m having an identity crisis.

I’m standing in a house with my employee who fucked my ex, for fuck’s sake.

My hands slide through my perfectly styled hair, and I ignore the urge to fix it again.

“Can we get this over with?”

Rush laughs and tugs a chunk of hair that’s fallen over my forehead. “Careful, you’ll start to look like me.”

He turns and leads the way, giving me a second to run my eyes over him. From his chaotic blond curls on the top of his head to his tanned, lean form and… Jesus. Rush has an ass. An ass that’s on full display in those sweatpants.

Yeah. I’m never going to look like him.

“Everyone,” he says, and we step into the living room. “This is The Hunter. Hunter, this is everyone.”

He’s not joking about everyone. There are another six men watching us.

There’s a round of hellos as I lift my eyebrows Rush’s way. “The Hunter? What, I have mythical status or something?”

“I know you’re joking, but you really do. I think you’re underestimating how much I talk about you.”

Considering until the last few days, Rush wouldn’t have had anything positive to talk about, that doesn’t fill me with confidence. “Okay, but to clear things up, I’ve apologized to him for being a dick.”

“You were mean to Rush?” Redhead snarls.

“Down, Seven,” a guy with brown curls and big eyes says, resting a hand on Seven’s leg. “I’m sure The Hunter has a perfectly reasonable explanation for why he was a dick to someone like Rush.”

“Look, I was angry about what happened and how I found out. It was misplaced, but the night we met, I was a bit of an asshole.”

Seven frowns. “Didn’t you order him a ride?”

“And give him your coat?” Xander adds evilly.

“Yes, but I was a dick while I did it.”

They exchange looks, and Rush laughs. “I told you that you were being kind.”

“I… that wasn’t…”

A blond man with a British accent pipes up. “Regardless of how you felt, you made sure Rush was okay. That signals a decent person in my books.”

I’m not used to praise, especially not from strangers. He can see it that way all he wants. I’d been mad at Rush for making me feel sorry for him and wanted nothing more in that moment than to make him go away. Preferably forever.

That doesn’t sound like the type of thing you’d tell someone’s friends.

“Either way,” I say, taking the seat next to the one Rush has fallen into. “I’ve moved on. Kinda. And that’s why we’re here.”

Seven gives a scary-looking smile. “Revenge.”

“Yes. That.”

Rush hugs one knee to his chest and slings the other over the armrest, angling him closer to me. “Okay, who’s got ideas on how we do it?”

Xander’s hand shoots into the air. “Isn’t it obvious? To get revenge on him for fucking you both over… you need to fuck each other.”

System Overload is the fifth book in the Divorced Men's Club. It can be read as a standalone, but it reads so much better if you read what has come before it to get the full impact of these characters.

System Overload is so full of angst and want. I loved everything about it.

Keller was a teenage dad. It's not something he wanted but he stepped up and was the best father he could be to Molly. Molly is facing his own life crisis, and moving across the country to Seattle will leave his best friend, Will, and his dad, Keller, alone. Molly's way to help them both is Will moving in with Keller. Unknown to Molly, Will has been in love with Keller for eight years and after one drunken night neither talk about, Will is hesitant but so excited.

Keller has been in dad mode for years always putting Molly first and now with Molly moving, Keller knows it's his turn for happiness. But everywhere he looks he isn't interested except Will. Something about Will draws him in. He loves spending time with him, and Keller knows touching can't happen, BUT oh, the loopholes they find to work around that. I read this in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. I had to know what was going to happen between these sweet men. Their chemistry is everything. And as always, the Divorced Men’s Club makes everything so fun with their "help," I can't wait for what's next for this group. I can't wait to get Mack's story!

I love this series. I couldn't wait to read this book, as soon as it hit my e-reader I jumped in. If you have read the series, you know who Keller and Will are. You know that Will has been crushing on Keller forever but will never do anything because Keller is his best friend Molly's dad. I loved how the relationship built between Will and Keller, it wasn't instant, it built slowly. Sometimes too slowly, LOL. I also loved seeing the other characters from the other books, this is a great group of guys!! When Will and Keller finally give in, things are even hotter! My only disappointment was when they actually went to tell Molly. Molly's reaction wasn't what Will and Keller were expecting, BUT I wanted to know more about what Molly really thought. He had a different scenario in his head, and I wanted to know a touch more about that and why he felt that way and it was kind of skimmed over. I am patiently waiting for Mack's book. I have a feeling it'll be a good one!

This is the fifth book in the series, and series readers will enjoy catching up with earlier relationships, and know both Keller and Will already.

Keller has brought his son up since he became a dad at 16, so the age gap between him and his son Molly's best friend, Will, is not all that great. So even though there is the discomfort in their minds, and Keller's habit of reminding him regularly of him being Molly's best friend drives Will crazy, it is clear that they are both very attracted to each other.

Thankfully their mutual friends have some fun making sure that Keller gives them a chance and realises that Will is exactly the man he wants long term. They certainly turn up the heat even before they get together, and there is no stopping them once they do!

I really enjoyed this latest installment, thank you, Saxon James!
