Filthy English by Ilsa Madden-Mills Blog Tour

A smokin’ hot British player…
A jilted girl…
One night of mistaken identity…

Two weeks before her wedding, Remi Montague’s fiancé drops her faster than a drunken sorority girl in stilettos. Armed with her best friend and a bottle of tequila, she hops a plane to London to drown her sorrows before fall semester begins at Whitman University.

She didn't plan on attending a masquerade party.

She sure didn’t plan on waking up next to the British bad boy who broke her heart three years ago—the devastatingly handsome and naked Dax Blay. Furthermore, she has no clue how they acquired matching tattoos.

Once back at Whitman together, they endeavor to pretend they never had their night of unbridled passion in London.

But that’s damn hard to do when you live in the same house…

One night. Two damaged hearts. The passion of a lifetime.

Is there anything worse than being left at the alter? Well, Remi is finding out that a few weeks before her wedding, her future husband asks for a break and she can't get any down payment money for the venue or the honeymoon back. So Remi and her best friend, Lulu, head to London for the honeymoon/summer vacation. While out one night at a masquerade party, she sees a man that might help her forget for a little while. But it turns out that the man is from her past and it was a painful past.

Dax Blay is back in London for the summer helping his cousin when he ends up kissing a girl from his past. She was the only girl that ever made him feel anything, which scared him. He doesn't do relationships because when you love someone, they always leave. Just like his mom left, although she died from cancer.

Can Remi and Dax move past the hurt and pain and get the second chance they deserve? What will Dax do when he finds out what happened to Remi after their time together? What will happen if Remi's ex shows up?

I loved Dirty English and loved this one just as much. Maybe there will be a book for Spider next, a girl can dream, right? I love Ilsa Madden-Mills’ writing style and can't wait to read more from her.

Remi is in London celebrating her honeymoon...except she's not with her new husband, she's with her best friend since her fiancé called for a "break" right before their wedding date. Remi is nursing her wounds and trying to have a good time. Hanging out at Masquerade, a night club where all patrons wear masks, she meets someone she's decided to throw caution to the wind with. Turns out he's Dax! Remi's freshman year, 3-night stand that was the one she had to walk away from. Dax is the frat party bad boy all the girls want at school, but Remi was the only one who walked away from him. The chance that they run into each other in England must be fate testing the waters on them having their second chance.

I really enjoyed this story! Dax was such a great character. Brooding and sexy with just a touch of arrogance and could care less attitude. He's holding onto the shields around his heart when it comes to being with Remi again. Remi is torn between what she thinks she needs in her life and what she really wants. The back and forth, on again off again miscues were groan worthy, but I loved every minute of their play by play. Written perfectly to keep me page turning without giving up on caring where these characters are heading, because sometimes I tend to go COME ON ALREADY!!! I was sucked in and thoroughly entertained to the very last page!

I was really excited for book two in this series but I was a little disappointed. It’s a good read, it’s just not nearly as phenomenal as the first book was. With that said, I did still enjoy it and am giving it 3.5 stars.

Remi and Dax had an unforgettable weekend together and haven’t really spoken to each other since. Now, three years later, Remi has been dumped two weeks before her wedding by her “perfect man.” Her and her best friend, Lulu, decide to take the honeymoon as an escape and head to London, where they wind up running into the smoking hot Dax and reigniting the flames between him and Remi. Remi isn’t sure that Dax has grown up enough in the last three years to even think about going there again, and Dax thinks Remi deserves so much better than him, so he pushes her away at every turn. Then the fiancé that left her shows back up and Dax realizes he’s not ready to let Remi go.

I skimmed a lot toward the beginning of this book, it felt like it took forever for Remi and Dax to get together. The end is fast paced though, and I really like the way the author wraps everything up. I look forward to book three in the series!
