Justice Prevails by Morticia Knight

Never judge a sexy man by his cover.

Detective Beau Williams is hardworking, dedicated and professional. He enjoys the finer things in life, but with his heavy caseload that includes what Beau suspects is a new serial killer, he has no time to enjoy much of anything. What the tall redhead needs is someone to shake him up a little.

Investigative Technician Austin Kent never met a snarky joke he didn’t like—or a set of stairs that couldn’t trip him up. One night after a devastating episode at work, Austin sees something else he likes—the handsome detective he’s seen around the station whom he’s always wondered about. But after he makes a drunken fool of himself in front of Detective Williams, he’s sure there’s no hope.

Beau and Austin’s worlds collide when Austin is sent to pick up some evidence at the station. Amidst a myriad of twists and turns in the troubling serial killer-style murders of Vegas conventioneers, Austin and Beau discover that there’s more to the other than they’d originally thought. There might even be more they’d like to give—unless the killer has the final say.

This book was kind of slow for me in some aspects. However, what blew me away the most was how one minute, Beau didn’t like Austin and wanted nothing to do with him and then BAM, he wanted Austin and wanted to give him a chance and have a relationship. Even Austin didn’t know what the heck to think. I never understood why Austin was so shy and timid at times and always down on himself, maybe it was explained at one point but I skimmed over it because like I said, the book was slow for me at times. I did enjoy seeing Parker and Lonnie from the previous book. I loved Austin and just wanted to hug him, poor klutz. Overall, this book was just ok for me.

Characters: Hard to understand their thinking at times
Sex: Yes
Religious: No
Would I recommend to others: Yes
More than one book in the series: Yes
Genre: M/M Romance
Would I read more by this author: Yes

The third in a great series, this story did not disappoint. Each book concentrates on a different couple, and after the last one, it was no surprise that Beau was the lead character. How he meets Austin, and the thoughts that go through each of their heads, are a little different, and keep the story very fresh and entertaining. There is no danger of experiencing a repeat storyline here. No, the plot is intriguing, the solution unexpected and the outcome delicious. Beau has some definitely dominant traits, but nothing more than a touch. Austin responds beautifully and their discussion about – mid-action – is priceless. I love how well they are sketched for us, so that we can really see how they would work together, and how hot their play can be.

Very good addition to the series – they keep getting better.

Morticia Knight spends most of her nights writing about men loving men forever after.

If there happens to be some friendly bondage or floggings involved, she doesn’t begrudge her characters whatever their filthy little heart’s desire. Even though she’s been crafting her naughty tales for more years than she’d like to share – her adventures as a published author began in 2011.

Once upon a time she was the lead singer in an indie rock band that toured the West Coast and charted on U.S. college radio. She currently resides on the northern Oregon coast and when she’s not fantasizing about hot men she takes walks along the ocean and annoys the local Karaoke bar patrons.
