This book picks up right after the second book ends, you need to read the first two books or you will not have all the back story. Let me just tell you, I love this series. I am really sad it is already over, I could have read about these characters for several more books. We got a lot of closure, but I still want more. I want more Spencer and Andrew, I want more Lola and Emilio, and I just want more. It was a great series and I can’t recommend it enough!

I loved this installment. It was just what this story needed. This one was all about the love and surviving the storm, life, together. You get to see more of Spencer's past and why he is like he is. You get to see the perfectionist, Andrew, and find out he's got a little bossy naughty streak in him. Geek on the outside, dirty on the inside. This installment was about life events and how they reacted to them. The love that they showed to each other. It really was the perfect ending to this series.

“I love you. Andrew Landon, I am in love with you. I have been in love with you since that time at my place when I asked you to pick an album to play, and out of all of my vinyl collection, you picked Jeff Buckley’s ‘Hallelujah.’ I just haven’t been able to tell you, until now. You healed something inside me.”

I was doubtful in the beginning, but N.R. Walker has done it again, making me fall in love with her characters.

The third in the series, you will need to read the previous books first, as this follows directly on from them.

As Spencer and his boyfriend, Andrew, slowly feel their way around their new relationship, wary of causing either to react negatively, we get to enjoy them growing together. There are undoubtedly a few bumps, but Ms. Walker makes us feel quite safe in their love for each other. That does not mean that things are smooth sailing for the couple, but even through the ups and downs, they are increasingly confident in each other. Add in some (many) deliciously steamy scenes in with the romance, and this really is a wonderful series of books.

This trio of stories make for a wonderful read, and I will definitely read them all again – maybe with a book 4 added on the end? I can but hope, as I'm not sure I could ever get enough of Spencer Cohen!

The Spencer Cohen Series Book One

Spencer Cohen is the guy who gets answers to relationship questions. Playing the role of the new lover, his job is to make his client’s ex realise one of two things: he doesn’t want to break up or he really does. Either way, his client gets answers.

The ex would either apologize and beg, or turn and walk. But in the end, Spencer’s client won. If he wanted his ex back and got him, it was great. If the guy walked away, then as hard it was for the client, he knew it was over. Regardless of the outcome, Spencer’s work was done.

Andrew Landon’s ex left him without so much as an explanation. But his sister can’t stand to see him miserable, so, much to Andrew’s dismay, they hire Spencer to be Andrew’s new boyfriend to get the ex back.

For Spencer, it is never personal. Merely a business transaction. No emotions, no strings, no complications.

Yeah right.

Even a blind man could see how this would end.

Spencer’s career is giving people the opportunity to get back with their exes. He will be your fake boyfriend, help you plan opportunities to see them in public or post on social media to see if the ex will take the bait and either get back together with you or give you closure so you can move on. When Spencer meets Andrew, he feels things for his client that he has never felt before but he has a job to do. Andrew wants his ex-fiancé back, he has no idea why he left and his sister recommended he meet with Spencer. This is the first book in the series and it does end with you needing to read the next book and trust me, you will want to read the next book as soon as possible!

3.5 Stars
Spencer Cohen will be your fake boyfriend. He's not picky, he will work with straight couples, but he prefers to work with gay couples. If your significant other has left you and you want them back Spencer, will go above and beyond to make a relationship with you seem authentic. Anything to make them jealous enough to come back to you. He's never gotten close to one of his clients, until he meets Andrew Landon. Andrew is unsure if he wants to do this, but at his sister's prompting he's willing to give it a chance.

Andrew comes off as very proper and awkward. Some of the things he says makes you think he was never out in the real world before. I did enjoy Spencer's character and that has me curious where the next installment will be going.

I am a huge fan of N.R. Walker. I have never had an issue getting lost in the stories she's created until this one. I loved the premise, fake boyfriend doesn't believe in love, falls for one of his customers. It had heaps of potential. Unfortunately for me I got bored very easy. You see what is going to happen with the first few chapters, at that point it becomes a dialogue filled read that seems to last forever until something happens. It felt drawn out. I am hoping that since the ground work is laid, the next book has a better flow.

A delicious, witty and imaginative first part of a series. The eponymous hero is a man with a tragic past, and a wall around his heart – but his friends are noticing a change in his demeanour thanks to his latest ‘client,’ Andrew.

As this book gives up its secrets, we learn much about these two men, as they learn about each other. The references to music, to interests, their food forays, and their desire to be sensible all add to the depth and intensity of the book. Add in Spencer's friends, and it would be difficult not to be utterly smitten with this story. I was delighted that I could straight into the next book.

The Spencer Cohen Series Book Two

Finally going from fake-boyfriends to the real thing, Spencer Cohen and Andrew Landon are trying to take things slow. They know what they have could be something special and despite the flammable sexual tension, they don’t want to crash and burn.

Spencer is learning to open up, sharing the secrets of his past with Andrew. Afraid to put his heart on the line, yet seemingly unable to stop it, Spencer knows he’s falling in love with him. Andrew is petrified of leaping in blindly, yet it seems the slower they go, the faster they fall.

As they navigate their new relationship, Spencer worries Andrew will freak out when he takes on a new client. But it’s not a normal case and Spencer soon realises things are not what they seem. When things take a downward turn and they work together to help the client, Spencer and Andrew need to decide if they’re ready for the next step.

This book picks up right after the first book ends, you need to read the first book or you will not have all the back story. The dynamics with Spencer and Andrew have changed and I am so happy!!! I just love these two together, they get each other and they are so perfect for each other. When they decide to be a couple, Spencer doesn’t think it will be a big deal to take on a new client. Andrew is hesitant, but agrees that it is Spencer’s job and he trusts him. Turns out this client isn’t like all the others. Spencer has a gut feeling about this client and he can’t seem to shake it, with the help of his friends and Andrew, he gets to the bottom of the situation. When things end with the client, we end up having a new character, Yanni, who you can’t help but want to reach through your e-reader and hug. This book had just as many emotions as the first and was even steamier! Can’t wait for the conclusion!

Book Two picks right up where we were left with book one. Spencer and Andrew have decided to give "real" dating a shot. Both of them coming from bad relationships, the one thing they agree on is to go slow. And damn if slow isn't hot. Book two is filled with sexy and sweet and definitely doesn't hold back on the angst.

I am very happy I continued with this next book. For me it was a much better read than the first installment. I am anxious to see what book three has in store.

The second in the series, you will need to read book one first, as this follows directly on from it.

As Spencer and Andrew decide to give their fledgling relationship a chance, they are keen to ensure that they do not follow old habits – which leads to some wonderfully frustrated and inventive men, as they decide they should wait before going all the way. This is such an endearing stage of their journey and gives us some fabulously humorous scenes. The chemistry between the two is off the scale, and yet so calm and intense, that it feels so real. The change in Andrew's demeanour is brilliantly written and much appreciated by Spencer! As Spencer takes on a new client, Andrew is concerned, but it turns out that it was a blessing in disguise for the client's ex. As in book one, their friends have a big impact on the story, and we meet Andrew's parents, who add a twist to his background.

Once again Ms. Walker has given us a beautiful story about two men (and their friends) that it would be difficult not to love.

N.R. Walker is an Australian author, who loves her genre of gay romance.

She loves writing and spends far too much time doing it, but wouldn’t have it any other way.

She is many things: a mother, a wife, a sister, a writer. She has pretty, pretty boys who live in her head, who don’t let her sleep at night unless she gives them life with words.

She likes it when they do dirty, dirty things… but likes it even more when they fall in love.

She used to think having people in her head talking to her was weird, until one day she happened across other writers who told her it was normal.

She’s been writing ever since…
