I DEVOURED this book almost as soon as it hit my Kindle! I just love the way Ms. Petrova writes and this installment of the Boot Knockers Ranch is no exception.

This story centers on Skye and Booker and how their short-lived marriage imploded and how they find their way back to each other.

Skye has always been insecure when it comes to Booker, he's gorgeous, a flirt and all the women love him. When Skye threw Booker out of her life – and their daughter's – he was devastated. Over the past few years, he's slowly re-built his self-confidence by working with the Boot Knockers.

When Skye shows up at the Ranch, Booker can't believe his luck, but he's not sure if it's good luck or bad. He can't stand to think of Skye spending the week with any of the other Boot Knockers so he whisks her away with the intent of keeping her all to himself.

Booker has his hands full trying to keep Skye out of trouble while trying to get her to understand that he never stopped loving her.

I just love this series; each book is so hot and makes me want more and more! In previous books we have seen Booker before and his toy collection and how everyone is always pulling pranks on him. It was good to finally get Booker’s story and see what all that is about. I loved him from the beginning and I loved how much he wanted Skye and Findlee. I also love how he wasn’t afraid to show her how he was now and how he had changed and how open she was to those changes. Great book, great series.

I've been looking forward to Booker's story. The cowboy with the very large toy collection. This story was so much more than I expected having read the previous books. Booker and Skye have a second chance at love. They seem so far apart at the start of the story it is hard to image how they would find middle ground and their way back to each other. I loved that.

Booker's toy collection plays an important role, and gives us a very funny prank, but it didn't feature in the steamy scenes and much as I thought it would.

Steam, a second chance at love, and beautiful Texas scenery. What's not to love? The Boot Knockers Ranch series is always guaranteed to give me a good read. Cowboy Not Included can be read as a standalone but every book in this series is worth reading. I love this series.

I have read all the Boot Knocker books and loved them all, so it was no surprise that this one worked for me too!

This is quite a different format though, as the history between Booker and Skye make for some uncomfortable moments – and some soul searching ones. I was highly annoyed for Skye at his attitude, especially when he had Teller. But as things developed, and they communicated better, the whole thing turned around. It was, as always, incredibly hot and sexy down at the ranch, and Ms. Petrova gave us a great ending too.

If you haven't read this series yet, I would recommend that you start at the beginning, but this would be a great steamy standalone too.
