Contortion by Aurelia T. Evans

Arcanium’s getting a little more twisted…

After one too many demons leave her for other women, Valorie, the circus contortionist, is thinking about quitting Arcanium. It’s not that she hates performing, but she’s been in Arcanium for almost twenty years. She’s bored, feeling neglected and rejected, and there’s nothing keeping her there anymore.

Until ex-lover Bell, the fortune teller and owner of Arcanium, gives her the fire-eater—bound and gagged—as a present and a bribe to convince her to stay.

John—cursed into Arcanium and heavily scarred from fires gone out of control—turns out to be an adequate distraction. He’s almost sweet, in spite of the bad person he used to be—a decent enough pet willing to work his way to redemption in Valorie’s collar and under her command. Valorie’s just not sure whether he’s enough.

Especially when her former fiancé from twenty years ago stumbles upon the circus and discovers where his would-be wife disappeared to.

Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of violence and horror; features femdom, flexible autoerotica, collaring, bondage, spanking, orgasm denial, adultery, voyeurism, a scene of non-human sex, and a scene of demon/human FMF ménage.

Shelby☆☆☆☆
I really, really want to visit the Arcanium Circus. I feel like I know these characters and, of course, Kitty is my favorite. I was very excited to have a story featuring her as a main character!
The beginning of this story was relatively slow moving, but not boring in the least bit.

We get to meet one of Kitty's off-site suitors, Victor. Steaminess ensues, and we get to see a little into Kitty's persona and the abuse she's been dealt. Where Kitty has been living with a (I hate to call it) disability that the world can see, Victor has also been dealing with a chronic, terminal condition. They're able to connect on this point. Kitty may've invited Victor to Arcanium....and Victor might have considered her proposal – but you really need to read to find out what May or May Not have happened ;)

The Ringmaster also has a prominent place in this story, but again I'm not going to give it away. I will say that he's Dark, Dangerous, insanely Demonic (go figure). If you've been following this series – you NEED to read this installment. That's all I can say.

Overall, this installment of the Arcanium series was an awesome look into two well-known characters. We're treated to some humorous banter, very erotic scenes both tame and super Dark (BDSM laced), and just a touch of romance.

Aurelia T. Evans is an up-and-coming erotica author with a penchant for horror and the supernatural.

She’s the twisted mind behind the werewolf/shifter Sanctuary trilogy, demonic circus series Arcanium, and vampire serial Bloodbound. She’s also had short stories featured in various erotic anthologies.

Aurelia presently lives in Dallas, Texas (although she doesn’t ride horses or wear hats). She loves cats and enjoys baking as much as she dislikes cooking. She’s a walker, not a runner, and she writes outside as often as possible.
