I followed him, my hands shaking as I grew angrier by the second. “That’s it? You’re going to let me move out?”

Mitchell reached for his keys, then turned to me. “I can’t force you to stay here, Corina. If you’re unhappy, then yes, you should leave. Do I want you to? No, I don’t. I know I fucked up, but if you’re going to throw it in my face every goddamn chance you get, then you’re right, this won’t work.”

He headed to the stairs that led down to his front door. My heart raced, and I knew I couldn’t leave it like this. Closing my eyes, I called out to him. “Mitch! You never asked me to the Pecan Street Honky Tonk.”

Stopping, he looked back up at me. “What?”

I swallowed hard and took in a quick breath. “The dance, you never asked me. And well, Lane asked me.”

Sadness swept over his face. “What did you tell him?”

Wringing my hands together, I answered, “I haven’t responded…yet. I was waiting for you.”

Mitchell rushed back up the steps and stopped in front of me. I don’t think I’d ever felt my stomach dip like it did when he raced toward me. He cupped my face and leaned in. My chest rose and fell with each breath as I waited for him to speak. His touch sent a flurry of butterflies through my chest.

“Corina, will you go with me to the street dance next weekend?”

My teeth sank into my lip, and I watched as his eyes filled with lust.

“Yes.” I smiled and added, “But only as friends.”

The corner of his mouth rose into a sexy smirk. God, how I loved that smile of his. “It’s a date, then.”

“As friends,” I added.

He leaned down and pressed his lips to mine. Before I could even process his lips, they were gone and he was stepping back. “I’ll take it. For now.”

Tempting Love is the third installment in the Cowboys and Angels series. It is Mitchell and Corina's book. Personally, you can't read as a standalone. You will miss so much of the back story and secondary stories, that you need to read them in order to truly appreciate it.

This Parker family is my favorite group of cowboys. Kelly Elliott has a way to get you so invested within the first few chapters, you have to keep flipping those pages to find out what's going to happen. Not with just the main characters, the secondary characters are just as intriguing as well. I need all their stories!

Mitchell, just like the rest of the Parker brothers, is a big player. He's slept with most of Oak Springs, with commitment never in his sights. One night with Corina Miller has Mitchell questioning everything. He's scared and distances himself from the one woman who has made his heart beat differently. Can he fix what he destroyed? Can he admit what everyone else sees?

Corina Miller is best friends with Paxton, Steed's wife. She got lost in Mitchell's sexy blue eyes the first time she saw him. After one night together, she knew he was the man for her, but then he walked away without a look back. She fell in love and he used her as any one-night stand. Her heart broke with every day that passed. When they are thrown together after tragedy, can she keep that wall up she's built around her heart? Or will Mitchell prove to her he's in it for the long haul?

I adored Mitch and Corina's story, but really any glimpse I get of the Parkers makes me happy. Mitch was swoon worthy and the chemistry with Corina is explosive. Chloe seriously makes every one of these books hilarious, she is adorable! I laughed, I cried, and loved every minute of it!

Waylynn is up next and I can't wait, but I need Cord's book in my life... he's such a sexy mystery.

This is the third book in this series and while it's not necessary to read the previous books, I highly recommend it. They are all wonderful and you'll see the same characters grow and change throughout the series.

Corina is a wonderful character. She is kind, gentle, and sometimes, way too forgiving. She is the perfect match for Mitchell. Despite their rocky beginning, you want to cheer for this couple – through all of their blunders and missteps, you truly want to see them succeed.

Mitchell is written like the typical clueless guy. He runs scared and when he runs, he runs hard and fast. Even though he knows he shouldn't be running, his instincts can't do anything but that. When he realizes his mistake, he asks his best friends, brothers, and family what he can do in order to remedy his situation.

Mitchell's family razz him enough about his situation, but they ultimately want what's best for him. He loves Corina and knows that she loves him too. Both characters seem to get in their own way.

This is a sweet story with a lot of buildup. There are a lot of miscommunication mistakes and a lot of assumptions made on both sides. While it was somewhat annoying to watch all of their mistakes, you knew that in the end, it would all pay off.
