Mary Jo – ☆☆☆☆
I really loved this book. It had all the elements of a great story and it came together wonderfully.
Clint is a recovering gambler who did a lot of things he never thought he would, all in pursuit of a bet. Jo is a nursing student, working as an in-home health provider, slowly working her way through nursing school.
Both Jo and Clint have a lot of baggage and trust issues, but if they can get past all of that, it’s a love story for the books. Jo has seen a lot in her short life, her mom walked out on her, her sister, and dad. Her dad drank himself into an early grave, and now her twin is living her life as a drug user in Seattle's underbelly.
Clint had a slightly better childhood, but with a crappy father. His addiction to gambling really made him see how different his life has become from the one that he wanted. He loves being a member of the Demon Horde and riding with his friends, but he still struggles with being accepted.
I really wish we would have seen Clint going to meetings to deal with his gambling problems and talking with his nana to see him through the hard times.

I'm definitely a fan of this series and each book is better than the last! I will say that it's not your typical MC read, it's more focused on the romance side but it's great nonetheless!
Clint is a biker who lives and breathes his club 24/7, but when his grandmother becomes ill he packs up his life at the club house and buys a home so that his grandmother and her new live-in nurse have a place to stay. While balancing care for his grandma, he's also being given new responsibility at the club, then add in the crazy undeniable attraction he has for Jo, and things get interesting very quickly. Jo is a live-in nurse who can't seem to lock down a permanent position, she's a floater and when the opportunity to be a live-in for the sweet nana and her sexy grandson comes along, she snatches it up.
I absolutely love that Clint is not only a total badass biker but he's the world's sweetest man as well; he's there for his grandmother and for Jo and he's totally my new book crush! I'm also a fan that the MC guys were so keen on Jo helping out with one of their "runs." Usually in MC books it's all "keep the women out of it" and this was a refreshing change. Looking forward to more from the Demon Horde!
