It's nearly impossible to be surrounded by love but not understand it. My parents, my sister, and just about everyone around us has no trouble accepting that love. To give your trust to someone else and believe they would die before hurting you. I've witnessed it--I've seen the power of it--but I've also seen the pain. When I'm with You is the third installment in the Hope Town series. Hope Town is the spin off series from Corps Security. The characters in Hope Town are the children of the characters in Corps Security.
When I'm with You is Nate and Emberlyn's story. Nate and Emberlyn have a history besides the fact they grew up together. Emberlyn has been in love with Nate for as long as she can remember. Nate is older, and knowing both of their parents, he hid his feeling for her, even if that meant crushing her in the process. When Ember turns 21, nothing's standing in Nate's way to show her how he's felt all this time, but is Ember willing to let him in after he's pushed her away?
Nate is my favorite of all of the Corp kids. He's fierce in his love for Ember, his protection of her when she runs into trouble, and super swoon worthy, but I expect nothing less from Harper Sloan. I'm kicking myself that it's taken me this long to read this series. I finished it in one sitting... needing more immediately!
A must read for a Harper Sloan fan and don't wait too long like I did!!
