Girl Breaker by Harper Kincaid Blog Tour

Sometimes the best thing a good girl can do is make a bad decision.

Jessica has always been the girl with her head in the clouds and her nose in a book, only dating the “nice guys”. But when rough-around-the-edges Viking-biker-god, Mad Max, and his precocious little girl move onto her street, Jessica falls hard and fast for both of them.

Max is no stranger to women wanting to share his bed—and he’s always been more than happy to oblige them all. He’s lived wild all his life—that is, until a daughter shows up on his doorstep and he meets a redheaded angel down the block.

There’s nothing more he wants than to claim Jessica as his, to bring the gorgeous spitfire to his bed. But a man like him doesn’t get a happy ending with a woman like her. He’s got a whole other life, one he’s kept secret for good reason.

If Jessica found out what he really is, there’s no way she could love him. He should keep his hands to himself. But he’s Mad Max—he’s never done the right thing, and he’s not going to start now.

Warning: Contains a dominating alpha male who’s a lot more than he seems, and a good girl with a swirl of flavors under her vanilla.

Ruthie☆☆☆☆
This is the third book in the series, and involves Sam's sister, Jessica, and Max, the alpha biker with a mysterious role in rescuing Sam in the previous story.

Jessica is still reeling from the drama surrounding her older sister, and missing their parents who died in a crash a number of years ago. She takes no risks, lives a careful life, but cannot deny her attraction to Max, and her affection for his young daughter, Piper. Things get complicated when he has to be honest with her thanks to Sam, and then get dangerous as the past catches up with them, which causes her to rethink her plans.

This book touches on issues of BDSM, but really only in conversation, rather than being in any way heavy. It acknowledges their preferences, and expectations, rather than being scene intense. I rather liked the honesty and simplicity of their conversations on this subject – and the passion which ensued fitted their relationship perfectly.

Good third installment in the series.

3 1/2 stars rounded up to 4 stars

Jess is a dreamer, even now after all that happened in her life. She dreams of a man, the man who makes her complete, gives her the security and family that she has always wanted. When she met Max and Piper, her heart went into overdrive because she knew he was the one for her.

However, Max didn't fall into her plans the way she thought he would. Max was friendly and nice to her but she could tell he was holding something back. When Max decides he's all in, Jess is elated and doesn't believe her life could get any better.

Jess's daydreamer attitude and seemingly flighty nature gets a bit annoying at times, but you can tell that this character has a good heart.

The ending was a bit melodramatic for me, but overall a good book.

Jessica is a teacher and she looks the part. And with her head in the clouds and her nose in a book, everyone thinks she is a fragile little thing. But Jessica knows what she wants and she dreams about him almost every night. But for now, Max, who lives a few doors down, will do. He is too good looking for his own good.

Mad Max, as he is known, is not what he seems. A single father to a very smart 10-year-old little girl, Piper, who Jess loves and tries to teach her right from wrong while she is at her house. And Max owns his own business, but there is a secret he is hiding from Jess. Max wants more with Jess but he doesn't think he is good enough for her.

Does she really want to know what he is hiding from her? Can Max tell her the truth? When trouble comes after Max, can Jess handle it or will she break?

I really enjoyed this story but I think I missed some things by not reading the first two stories. So I will be going back to read them as soon as I get a chance to. This is a first for me from Harper Kincaid and I will be reading more from her.

A woman with the heart of a revolutionary,
The mind of a pragmatist,
And the inappropriate humor of your tipsy BFF...

Born in California and raised in South Florida, Harper Kincaid has moved around like a gypsy with a bounty on her head ever since. Along the way, she has worked as a community organizer, an art teacher, a popular blogger, and a crisis counselor (to name a few). All the while, longing to have the guts and follow-through to do what she really wanted: to write and become a published author. That wish has finally come true and she's tickled hot pink.

When not writing, she adores listening to indie, lo-fi, complaint rock played on vinyl, the theater, well-informed optimism, happy endings (both kinds), and making those close to her laugh 'til they snort. She is a self-admitted change junkie, loving new experiences and places, but have now happily settled in the cutest lil' town, Vienna, Virginia.
