So many emotions, my words just won't do it justice.
I was all over the place, just when I began to feel "immune" to the story – POOF – I was knocked right back down.

A quick recap, after book#2 – Alex left the country, Anna is still figuring out how to live her own life, and Devin has a new title: Chairman (I'll give you a hint, this change hasn't helped his disposition).

Alex has come back for Anna, as he promised, unfortunately she's still very angry with him. She visits his home in Germany, meets his family, and starts to dream of happiness in her life. Lots of "I love yous" are exchanged while Alex and Anna are together. And life is good!!
Then it ends
and
Devin happens...
That's all I can say. The evil, vile, bastard.

So many twists in this installment. Crazy shit. Just crazy. Though the torture continues, a flicker of hope also appears.

Each book I read has some insanely depraved stuff going on, then I read the next book & the previous seems tame by comparison.

I am waiting with baited breath for the next installment.

Two advisories – firstly this is the third in a series and really has no meaning without reading the previous two. And they are amazing, so what are you waiting for? ... actually no, read next statement before dashing off ...
Secondly – there is a huge warning that comes with these books and you would do well to take note of them, because they are absolutely correct. The contents of these books are deeply dark, evilly black and shocking – if that's not something you can stomach, then don't read the books.

Ok – Embraced – another brilliant book from the talented, and yet so warped mind of Ms. Honeycutt. Obviously having read the previous two, I was in almost constant trepidation of something terrible happening ... much like when scary music plays in a horror movie. There were some absolutely beautiful moments, to offset the terror, and some wonderful scenes of passion and love – which Anna most definitely deserves. Now I am on tenterhooks for the next book, so I hope that writing is on the agenda. We the readers need to be appraised of the next installment of this marathon of a tale.

Marissa's story of Anna began with a dream about being kidnapped with Adam Savage from Mythbusters (Yes, really). Over the next year and a half, it morphed into the story you will be reading soon. She has several other stories in progress, one of which is based on her kidnapped dream.

When she's not writing or editing, Marissa is taking care of two young boys, training to be an astronaut, running her household, wrestling with gorillas, playing around on Facebook, promoting whirled peas, and busting her tush for her accounting degree. She enjoys chocolate, air conditioning in the desert's summer heat, really good strawberry margaritas, sleeping, and shopping.
