Wicked Reads Reviews – Hideaway Cove by Anna Sullivan

SOME PASSIONS CAN'T BE DENIED . . .

Jessi Randal walked away from her last relationship with a baby and a broken heart. Now, years later, the last thing this single mom wants is to give Windfall Island-and all its nosy residents-anything more to gossip about. But the moment she lays eyes on the tall, sexy stranger with the slow Southern drawl, she knows she's in delicious trouble . . .

Holden Abbot is on the island to find the missing heir to the Stanhope family fortune. It's his job to charm as many secrets out of the town as possible. And if he can charm Jessi into his bed, even better. When all evidence points to her as the heir, a dangerous enemy sets his sights on Jessi and her son. Now Holden will have to risk everything to protect the family he's come to love.

Ruthie☆☆☆☆
This wonderful tale, combining romance and mystery is a great read. It has some wonderful moments of humour, a cast of feisty women and strong men, and a puppy! Windfall Island sounds like a harsh place to live, but the gossip and rumour certainly keeps the community alive.

At the end of the book is a preview of the next in the series and it looks like it should be another page turner. That we will get to read of old friends is an undoubted bonus.

Anna Sullivan was born and raised in southeastern Michigan, the seventh of nine children. There was a lot of noise, frequent disorder and a fair bit of commotion in her early life. Anna escaped by going through the looking glass, over the rainbow, or beyond the wardrobe.

As years passed, she grew up, got married and had three children. Needless to say, there was a lot of noise, frequent disorder and a fair bit of commotion. When her darlings were in bed for the night, she escaped into words again, this time ones she wrote herself. After all, how difficult could it be to string together enough of them to fill an entire book? Pretty difficult, as it turns out.  But she kept at it, and eventually sold her first book.

Her children are starting their own lives now. Anna misses the noise, disorder and commotion, so it's handy that she can recreate those times, and the happy endings that go along with them. She hopes you'll escape into one of her worlds and spend an enjoyable, and quiet, hour or two. - Author's website bio
