This was quite an interesting read. You have a motorcycle club, you have gay men and you have a touch of BDSM, mix them all together and you have A Dangerous Reality.
It took me a few chapters to get into this book. It seemed like an onslaught of places and names that I had to keep going back over to keep it all straight. When the author was writing from Turk's POV it was more chaotic than the first few chapters in Lock's POV. I almost gave up on it but I am glad I didn't and powered through. This turned into a very good read.
I loved all the elements coming together. Just the idea of an m/m MC is a great concept. I know there are more to the Bare Bones series, I hope to see more of The Bent Zealots.

This is a fascinating book, and the series is definitely on my to read list. It is a clever idea, and I think well executed. Sometimes the writing from one POV or the other is a little confusing, but overall the writing style suits the subject and the characters. There are some distinctly gritty scenes, some displaying the camaraderie that we expect from these men, and some which are scorchingly hot. I would say it would be best not to read it on the commute to work – you may spend the day most frustrated!
I am looking forward to see how the new MC will progress, so I hope Ms. Wolfe is busy writing...
