The Last Guy by Ilsa Madden-Mills & Tia Louise Release Blitz

From Wall Street Journal bestselling author Ilsa Madden-Mills and international bestselling author Tia Louise…

The first rule of office romance is don’t do it—especially if your dream is to hold the anchor spot on the nightly news and your boss is trying to get you fired.

But one look at Cade Hill, the sexy new sports director, and uptight reporter Rebecca Fieldstone is daydreaming about other things.

Sex in his office…
Sex in the on-set kitchen…
Sex in the supply closet…

She can’t stop thinking about the former NFL quarterback and how perfect he’d look between her sheets—except he’s an arrogant jerk with a huge… ego.

He’s the last guy she’d ever have a one-night stand with.

Cade Hill draws a thick professional line on office romance—until it comes to the hyper-focused Rebecca. He wants her, and he gets his wish when a chance encounter has them having the hottest sex of their lives.

It’s just a hook-up, she says.
When can we do it again? he says.

With Rebecca determined to keep Cade in the friend zone, it’s going to be an uphill battle for Cade to convince her he’s the last guy she’ll ever want.

Rebecca has always wanted to be an anchorwoman and reporting on just about anything to help her get the job. She talks to mini beauty pageant contestants, talks to a zookeeper holding a monkey with grabby hands, to chasing a possible mugger suspect. If that doesn't get her the desk job in front of the camera, then what will? One problem she has, is keeping her eyes off of the new sports reporter because he only got the job because of who he is, a former NFL quarterback. So she has to stay away from him and get the weekend anchor job.

Cade would still be playing football if he hadn't blown out his knee. So he does the next best thing, becomes a sports reporter. But he wants to get to know Rebecca, the spunky, sharp dressed reporter. She seems to always be pushing his buttons or pushing him away.

When a drunken night out for Rebecca and her roommate Chas, a drag queen who happens to be preforming at a local club, they end up seeing Cade and his brother, Trent, at the same club. Rebecca and Cade have a few too many shots and he ends up riding with her to see she gets home safe. Turns out to be the best night of their lives. But when the morning comes, things change, Cade wants more and Rebecca wants to only be friends.

Can they remain friends or will they give a relationship a try? What happens when Rebecca finds out what Marv, her boss, is up to and that Cade had nothing to do with it?

I loved everything about this story, it is full of laughter, love, heartache, and has a happily ever after. This may be a first for Ilsa Madden-Mills and Tia Louise but I hope not the last. You have to read this you because it is fresh and fun and you will laugh until you cry. And you will love Chas, the drag queen and Rebecca's roommate and all around cheerleader for Cade. So grab this one and enjoy.

I loved every page of this book! Ilsa Madden-Mills is a go-to author of mine and though this is my first Tia Louise read, I’ll definitely be checking out her other work.

Rebecca is an awkward but sweet girl who the world has decided to mess with as of late. Cade is the new sports director who finds himself working with the sexy reporter, Rebecca. Though Rebecca dislikes Cade immediately upon meeting him, she also can’t fight the attraction to him. Then, after a series of events, Cade and Rebecca wind up having a crazy night of passion… which Rebecca treats like a one-night stand while Cade is looking to take it further.

I would say this is one of the funniest books I’ve read this year – definitely had me cracking up. I adored both Cade and Rebecca’s characters – Rebecca’s awkwardness made her absolutely hilarious. I also freaking LOVED Rebecca’s roommate and drag queen extraordinaire, soooo much personality and I just loved it! If you enjoy a hot office romance, this one is definitely for you!

The Last Guy is a light-hearted contemporary romance that's a perfect standalone novel to take with you to the beach! Ilsa Madden-Mills and Tia Louise have written a steamy office romance that will keep your attention until the very last page!

Rebecca Fieldstone, a reporter for KHOT, knows an office romance with Cade Hill, former NFL player and KHOT's newest sports director, is a bad idea. Cade is the last guy she'd ever have a one-night stand with. Unfortunately, she can't stop daydreaming about her sexy co-worker.

This book was such a fun read and the chemistry between Rebecca and Cade is HOT! The story flowed really well and had a ton of great characters. I hope these two authors continue to collaborate because I am looking forward to seeing what they do next.

A solid four-star read
