This was a sweet story about love that lived through college, life, and overprotective family.

I really liked the combination between Charlie and Lucas. You can see that they know each other, have been through thick and thin together. And, just like normal brotherly love, sometimes, communication makes things much more difficult. Lucas is trying so hard to protect his sister. Especially after she was a victim of a crime. Not only is he trying to save her, but he's trying, also, to concentrate in order to come back from combat alive.

Lila is a strong woman. She wants what she wants. However, living in the shadows and loving Charlie since she was so young, she comes to a conclusion – she will fight for Charlie. And, despite loving her brother, she will stand up to him – believe that she is no longer a victim.

When push comes to shove, who will fight for what they want? Can Lila really live a happily ever after and have the support of her brother? I really liked this story because it shows that family is worth fighting for. I can't wait for the next one!

Melissa West writes heartfelt Southern romance and teen sci-fi romance, all with lots of kissing. Because who doesn't like kissing? She lives outside of Atlanta, GA, with her husband and two daughters and spends most of her time writing, reading, or fueling her coffee addiction.
