Domination by Lyra Byrnes

A good-girl journalist falls under the spell of the most dangerous man in rock and roll. Amid the madness, she tries to keep her head, but is it too late for her heart?

Good girl Josie Arrington knows what it takes to be the only female journalist at a renowned music magazine—work hard and take every assignment, even if it means knocking on the dressing room door of Domination singer Bram Hunter, an intensely private, devastatingly sexy rock god. But when Bram mistakes her for a groupie with expertise in feisty submission, Josie realizes she still has a lot to learn.

Over the course of a scorching two-week tour with the band, Josie is pulled into Bram’s world, and his heart. As a writer, Josie can’t help trying to make sense of her sinful new secrets through a private blog. After all, no one will ever see it, right?

Domination is an erotic journey into a dark netherworld of lust, love and betrayal. Turn the volume up!

Kris☆☆☆☆
I really enjoyed this story. It's a pretty classic telling of rock star/reporter, but I fell in love with Bram and his character! Josie was pretty cool too. She's in a male dominated biz that's changing every day, her paper is going online and Josie isn't sure she can make the transition. Taking the gig to interview the bass player for the hot, metal (NOT her forte) band Domination, Josie is running late, missed the show, and is mistaken for a groupie and sent to Bram's room. The lead singer who is rumored to be dark, mysterious, and into whips and chains!! Josie has no idea what she's stumbling into, but when Bram orders her to her knees... for some reason, Josie doesn't speak up! The band is having some strife and Josie finds herself being sabotaged by the new management at her magazine and by someone in the band. Mistakes are made, feelings are hurt, and drama with an ex ensues, but the story is very good! Absolutely up my rock star romance alley, I found myself engaged and enjoying the story play out.

Avid Reader☆☆☆
M/F Romance

Josie and Bram are a sweet couple. This is your typical rock star gets what he wants and how he wants, while the meek girl bends to his will. However, you also have, in Josie, a backbone that she needs to be in a male dominated profession.

While this story was just okay for me, the drama that ensues in this story is big. Josie is having to fight off people from her job, within the band, and her own insecurities.

I wish that this had less drama and more romance – while the book was decently developed, I can't quite put my finger on what was missing for me, but something was missing.
