Forever a Jett Girl by Meghan Quinn Blog Tour

How did I become a Jett Girl?

Hell if I know, one moment I’m working at the premiere spot for creepy men and sloppy drunks and the next, I’m being whisked away by a moody ex-boxer and a mysterious man in a suit that overlooks his girls from the third floor of the Lafayette Club.

It wasn’t easy but now that I’m a Jett Girl, there is only one thing on my mind and that is Jett Colby.

He has captured me, stolen my heart and entwined my soul into his at such an alarming rate that it seems almost difficult to breathe without him holding me, touching me, kissing me...

He won’t give me his heart though, he won’t let me own every last inch of him and not because he doesn’t want to, but because he doesn’t want to jeopardize my ambiguity.

Because of this, there is only one thing standing in my way when it comes to completely and utterly living my life with Jett Colby and it’s called Lot 17.

With Goldie trying to infiltrate Rex's life to try to help Jett we get the addition of Rex's point of view. I like being able to see what was happening on the other side of the fight for Lot 17.

This series has good mix of fun times and funny moments, hot steamy scenes along with a spattering of serious angst and this continues through Forever a Jett Girl. It was good to spend more time with Goldie and Jett and watch them try to figure out how to be together.

Unfortunately for me, at the 70% mark or so when the outcome became a forgone conclusion, I lost interest in Jett and Goldie and as a result I didn't really feel the emotions that were on the page. By that point I was more interested in what was happening with Kace. I am very pleased that Kace will be getting his own story.

Forever a Jett Girl didn't reach the highs of the first two in this series, but I enjoyed it and would definitely recommend this series.

I have scored this 5* for the story as a whole, as well as for this book!

This is the third in the series (I'm loathed to think it is the last!) and you definitely need to have read the first two already! Even though it is a while since I read them, it took mere seconds to be immersed back in their world. The characters are all so interesting, and knowing their pasts, even more admirable (or not!).

I loved that Jett had to really stretch himself to cope with Goldie's leaving, and to start to learn what love is really all about. I loved the intrigue; I was fascinated by the new major player, Zane, in fact it was all a fabulous read. The only downside was that it ended!

I do hope that Ms. Quinn is busy penning more wonderful stories – her voice is incredibly effective on the page.

It may have been six months since I read Becoming a Jett Girl and Being a Jett Girl, but I had no problem picking the story up because Forever a Jett Girl continues on where book two left off. If you have not read the previous books in the series, STOP READING HERE, because spoilers from those books will be included in this review; however, I will endeavor to not include spoilers for this book.

Ms. Quinn brought an interesting dimension to this installment in the Bourbon series by not only presenting the story from Goldie and Jett’s points of view, but also giving us Rex’s point of view. While I didn’t necessarily enjoying spending time in Rex’s head – Narcissism, thy name is Rex – I did like that it gave the reader the opportunity to actually see what Rex and Leo had in the works for Lot 17 and how they planned to take down Jett. While Jett was reeling from Goldie’s departure, she proved to be adept at gaining entrance to Rex’s life and business by simply walking through his front door. Remember that narcissism I mentioned, yeah that made it pretty easy for Goldie’s entrance because he considered himself smarter and more manipulative then her. What he failed to take into account was the power of love (yeah, I know it’s cheesy but it’s true). Goldie had far more to gain and lose, so she was way more determined than Rex.

I will admit that there were a couple of times during Forever a Jett Girl that I hated Jett. Abandonment issues or not, Jett proved to be even more of an inflexible arse when it came to giving Goldie the same level of trust that he demanded from her. He was so quick to believe the worst and I was freaking ecstatic when Goldie stood up to him, proved to him that he was AGAIN wrong about her, and walked out after that kicka** speech. Had I not been at the point in the book that I was when that occurred, I would have been freaking out, but it turned out that Ms. Quinn was just getting started by giving Jett the wakeup call he needed. The subsequent courting of Goldie was hilarious and thankfully her “no sex” rule was something she couldn’t stick to for long. Now THAT was a wall I was glad to see Jett demolish because their sex life is freaking hot and I was going through withdrawals too. Seriously, there is only so much sexual tension a girl can read about before she starts screaming at her Kindle “Would you just do her already!” Okay, not actually, but I was thinking it.

Forever a Jett Girl had its fair share of suspense as well as the Lot 17 bidding war finished playing out in this installment in the series. I loved that Jett found an unlikely ally and was able to force his father and Rex’s hand, so to speak. The fallout from that was insane and proved to cause a domino effect that nearly ripped my heart out at the end of the book. Seriously Ms. Quinn, Forever a Jett Girl is why it’s a good thing authors aren’t in the room with their fans while they read because I wanted to go all Goldie on you when that hand slapped the window (<=not an actual spoiler, but now you want to know what I’m talking about, don’t you?). But at least you knew how to put my bruised heart back together with that ending. And the Epilogue as well as the Upcoming series spin-offs info more than made up for it because I cannot wait to read ALL of them. For me, Forever a Jett Girl was the perfect ending to the Bourbon series, even if it’s not the last we’ll see of Jett, Goldie, and her dysfunctional brain-to-mouth filter that always makes me laugh. Yes Ms. Quinn you have made a devout follower of this franchise out of me.

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
