Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
I've read quite a lot of MC books, and this one is different as it comes from an unusual angle. Certainly the issues and undercurrents of violence were there, but in the background to a non-MC ménage love story. I am looking forward to the next in the series, which I am guessing will introduce us to more of the Red Wolves. The starting plot line of trafficking women sat in my mind, as we learned more about Merrie, but I am sure there is more to come on that subject.

I loved the three lead characters – they were interesting in themselves, and their interactions held true to the traits that one would expect. And together they were steamy hot! A few times they reminded each other (and the reader) just how short a time they'd known each other, but somehow it was still believable. I am looking forward to seeing this develop.

I like writing about the very ordinary girl thrust into extraordinary circumstances, so my heroines will probably never be lawyers, doctors or corporate high rollers. I try to write characters who aren't cookie cutters and push myself to write complicated situations that I have no idea how to resolve, forcing me to think outside the box. I love writing characters who are real, complex and full of flaws, heroes and heroines who find redemption through love.
