I loved this book! This story of a grieving Seattle businessman and the beautiful Tantric healer who helps him reconnect with himself is both sweet and impossibly sensual. It’s the first single-sitting-can’t-put-it-down book I’ve fallen completely in love with in some time.
The Tantric sex in this book is hot enough to push the story well into the Erotica genre if it weren’t for the beautifully drawn characters and their complex relationships. The title of the book is a nod to River’s personal journey in the story, but I think Brent’s growth is just as powerful. I love the Seattle setting for the book and the nod to Millennial hipster fads.
I have to admit that this story has me obsessed with Tantric sex – and I can’t figure out why more romance/erotica authors haven’t explored this in their books. I’ve read about BDSM done every which way, but this is new to me and I love how the author uses the Tantric practises in a way that makes River, Brent, and their relationship come alive. I want more Tantric sex in romance writing!
I recommend this book to romance readers wanting something new and to anyone who wants a book that will make them smile.
