Rich Prick by Tijan Blog Tour

He walked into school on his first day and owned it.
I guess that's what happens when you're a prick, rich, and you're best friends with the ruling school's king.
Also didn't hurt he's drop dead gorgeous.

That's all fine.
I mean, I have nothing to do with them.
I'm a loner, invisible, and that's how I wanted it to be.

I was even proud of it, until I wasn't.

Until I saw a girl kneel before him.
Until I couldn't look away.
Until he caught me watching.

His name is Blaise Devroe.
My name is Aspen Monson.
He only knew how to get, command, and demand attention.
I knew how to do everything but that.
And this is our story.

Aspen likes to keep to herself. She knows that she's mostly invisible and she's okay with that. Her family life isn't bad, per se, she's just kind of ignored. Aspen knows that she doesn't have long before high school is over, but her past, her memories haunt her. In order to escape when it's becoming too much, Aspen is an avid camper. She feels closest to her family while she's out there alone. When the new boy in town sees her watching him in the woods, she knows she should run. She knows that he isn't good for her. But what her head and heart say are two different things.

Blaise is not a nice guy. He mostly likes to fight with other people. He talks with his fists and asks questions later. Blaise's family life is a mess right now. He is trying to figure out how to have adult feelings when he's still of the maturity of a little boy. Finding new family members, having old friends come into the picture, Blaise is just trying to ensure that he can make it to the end of high school in one piece. He does not count on the shy beauty to take his breath away or show him what true love actually is.

These two have a lot of baggage. Watching them through their journey is humbling, sad, exciting, and gives you a joyous feeling. This book made me laugh, cringe, cry, and want to scream. Tijan does an amazing job at writing with such a realistic feeling. You honestly feel like you know the characters – that you're one of their friends. I really enjoyed this book and really hope more come along.
