Wolf is home and trying to figure out how to move forward from his time in the service. While his marriage didn't survive, he loves his daughter with everything inside him. And his relationship with his ex is friendly, but they are able to be friends.

Rose loves her job. But she lost a lot while serving her country and while she might not be using her considerable skills, she loves the family she's found at the diner. Even her attraction to Wolf has been a pleasant distraction. But Rose would never poach on another woman's man and she isn't going to start now.

I like how patient they both were with each other. Their commonalities also made them ideal for a relationship. Wolf and Rose have to learn to trust in each other and to learn that love can heal a lot for them.

You still have people who have it out for the Borderline Freaks, and Rose and Wolf will have their share of troubles too. But this group of bikers have each other's backs, and nothing will get in the way of that.

Wolf and Rose's relationship might have started from afar, but both will have to take a chance if they want to find happiness. I enjoyed this story a lot and really like these two as a couple. They complement each other with their skills and personalities.

Raised in the south, MariaLisa learned about the magic of books at an early age. Every summer, she would spend hours in the local library, devouring books of every genre. Music is a driving passion, and she says, “I love music of nearly any genre — jazz, country, rock, alt rock, metal, classical, bluegrass, rap, hip hop… you name it, I listen to it. I can often be seen dancing through the house in the early mornings. But I really, REALLY love live music. My favorite thing with music is seeing bands in small, dive bars [read: small, intimate venues]. If said bar [venue] has a good selection of premium tequila, then that’s a plus!”
