Priest by Ella Frank Blog Tour

I am complex.
My love is all-encompassing.
And when it comes to my heart, there is only one rule:
Don’t mess with what’s mine.

Until the age of seven, I was Joel Alexander Donovan, son of Jimmy.
The man who terrorized a town and made its citizens fear the very ground he walked on. Including me, the day I realized that ground ran red with blood.

At age eighteen, I became Priest.
A man without a past.
A man determined to right the wrongs of my father.
A man who never believed anyone could love the son of such a monster.

But then a thief stole my heart.
A sweetheart lit up my world.
And I forgot for a moment you should never turn your back on your enemy.

And thus begins a lesson to those who would seek to harm: Never underestimate what the Priest will do to protect the Princess and the Prick.

This is going to be spoiler free and vague.

Holyyyyyyy crap! I just can't put into words how much I love this series and how the author makes me feel like I'm right there living things with these characters as it happens. The prick, princess, and Priest are the best throuple ever. They make my heart beat faster and melt all at the same time. We learn about Joel's past and as bad as it was, I was expecting worse. We got to see Logan and Tate, which is always wonderful. I can't wait to see what happens next...

3 times 5 stars at the very least!

This is the third in the series, and the previous two books have led us to this point both privately and professionally – so you absolutely have to read them in order. I have to say that I loved Logan and Tate's books, but these three men's books are utterly adorable and as such provide reading heaven. Ella Frank is exceptional at her craft, and I always look forward to her books.

We have had Robbie and Julien's stories, and at the end of the last book, a hint at just how dark Priest's past was, and how far he has come to reach the levels of success and happiness he now has... even if he can't sleep. It unfolds alongside the opening of Julien's newest restaurant in Chicago.

Families are important again in this book, with the ultimate family unit being the three men at the heart of this lovely book. They are stunning men individually, and together the heat and passion burns up the page.

Now to be patient, and wait for the next book. I shall console myself by rereading the trio we have already, because they are fabulous.

Priest is a sublime romantic hero. I’ve loved the brooding, controlling, and private man since Robbie’s book and he’s even better in his own book as he attempts to protect the men he loves from the monster who raised him. When Priest’s icy control finally slips, he is forced to rely on Julien and Robbie.

I love the way this story slips through time. Readers move between Priest’s horrifying childhood memories, more recent memories of important moments shared with Robbie and Julien, and the present where Priest reacts to news of his father’s planned release from prison. I love that Robbie becomes a source of strength for Priest and that he finally feels like an equal, not just a younger boyfriend, in the relationship.

A little bit too much time might be spent on Robbie’s hurt feelings at the start of the story, but this is the most exciting and the most plot driven book in the series so far. Suspense is built as readers move between appalling details from Priest’s childhood and Priest’s attempts to evade his father in the present. But even with the action in this book, there is still time for a whole lot of sex. This is probably a slightly lower heat read than the first two, but it is still a very sexy book.

Once again, this is a high angst, high emotion read. Like the first two books, the writing style is almost melodramatic. Melodrama usually isn’t my thing, but I really love the writing in this series. These books are completely addictive and this series continues to be a deliciously naughty guilty pleasure.

Priest is the third installment in the Confessions series. The series should be read in order to gain the most from each book and understand the continuous plotline.

We finally get to learn more about Priest. There was just a sneak peek at the end of Robbie. Enough to have you somewhat understanding his private nature and why he is like he is. Joel Priestly has been running from his past since he was seven years old. He has always been looking over his shoulder, waiting for the past and his present to collide.

I loved getting the individual stories from each of the men. In Julien and Robbie's books we got to see the love they have for each other grow and blossom, but Priest's book is a bit different. We know the love is there, but how will they protect it? I love that the passion is still explosive as ever between them and Robbie is that little bit of sunshine and fun dropped in.

I am so excited there is another installment to this series. I don't want it to end. Can we find another friend in the series to write about to make it last? We can still see bits and pieces from Logan and Tate and The Prick, the Princess and the Priest, please?
