Sam is a submissive who was hurt in a past relationship, and now doesn't want to truly submit to a dom again. She sees her friends all settling down and is somewhat jealous, but in her heart, she won't allow someone to dominate her again.
Mike is a sadist who has his eye on Sam. He has for a while but her prickly nature has prevented him from scening with her. He knows that if he can just figure out what makes her tick, he'll know how to get her to be her true self – to truly submit.
The story follows their relationship and while it was somewhat ho-hum for me, for others it might be a great taste into the BDSM genre. Overall, this was not a great relationship and seemed somewhat one-dimensional. I wish that we knew more about Sam and Alex and what became of that. Also, it would have been nice to see the outcome of Mike's issue too.
