Doing London by Chloe Balque

It’s been five years since Josie Vasquez moved to London, changed her name, and left her X-rated L.A. life behind. She has it together now thanks to two rules: stay out of trouble and don’t shag celebrities. Easy—until she meets Marco. Sinfully handsome and always in the tabloids, footballer Marco Verazi can have any woman he wants, and the sexy Italian wants Josie. Josie knows she should stay away, but he stirs a desire in her that she’s never felt before.

Marco doesn’t know about Josie’s past, or that her job selling goods on the "tele" for home shopping network QTV isn’t her first time on camera. Although Josie is tempted to break her rules and see what Marco has to offer, she knows they can’t be together—not unless she is willing to reveal a secret that could ruin her new life...and his.

The Players: Joey Vasquez f/k/a Josie Pink and Marco Verazi

The Story: Joey Vasquez has ditched her former life as a porn star and moved to London to create a new life for herself. Hosting segments on QTV isn't very glamorous but it pays the bills and she enjoys the work. She also makes naughty cupcakes for her friend Ruby's bakery. What she hasn't found is a satisfying love life.

Marco Verazi is a major league soccer player who happens to run into Joey and decides he wants to get to know her better. Joey doesn't want any part of Marco's life because of all the gossip rags that follow him around. She doesn't want anyone in London to know about her past.

The premise seems a little shaky given the age of global information. Yes, Joey has moved to London and has changed her appearance, but I find it hard to believe that someone didn't "find" her real name before she left the porn industry especially since she was dating a music star who's now in jail for attempted murder.

Some of the situations between Joey and her girlfriends seem a little forced as well as those and her long lost friend, Ben.
