Corbin’s Bend – A Perfect Partnership by Rayanna Jamison

Josiah Jefferson left the polygamist community he grew up in to make a new home in Corbin's Bend. He wanted to find the one woman he could love and spank for the rest of his life. When a summer storm blows beautiful Lannea Paulsen into his life, he sees it as fate and never looks back.

Lannea Paulsen, better known as Laney to everyone but the stubborn Josiah, has had two goals since she moved to Corbin's Bend last year. Save enough money to buy half of The Ginger Paddle, the sushi restaurant she runs with her cousin, and find a strong dominant man who is willing and ready to take her in hand in every way possible.

When Laney puts the business in jeopardy, Josiah comes to the rescue. One thing leads to another and they find themselves in a tumultuous platonic DD relationship. Sparks fly as they both refuse to admit the depth of their true feelings. Will they settle for less than they desire or will they chase after everything they have ever wanted?

Angie☆☆☆
Josiah left everything he knew behind because he wasn’t happy and knew he wouldn’t find what he needed in his hometown. Laney is, well, honestly she is rude and selfish and I wanted to slap her right from the start. Some of the things she said would have gotten her butt kicked in the real world. Josiah wants a DD relationship and Laney wants to be spanked but is too stubborn to ask for it. When a storm blows open a door to the restaurant Laney helps her cousin run, things start to heat up. This is another great addition to the Corbin’s Bend series. I loved Josiah. I hope we get Ginger’s story next.

The Players: Josiah and Lannea aka Laney

The Story: Josiah was raised in a polyamorous, domestic discipline community but never quite fit in. Laney was introduced to DD in culinary school and was fortunate enough to move to Corbin's Bend with her cousin.

Plot: Very solid and well thought out.

Part of a Series: Yes, Corbin's Bend, Season 2

Heat Level: 3 of 5. The spanking scenes were very well written.

I always enjoy the Corbin's Bend stories. They are the perfect length for a satisfying read, but don't require an all-night marathon to be finished. They involve familiar characters in the community, but the focus strongly remains on the relationship being explored. The relationships are different, the individuals' needs are unique, but the fundamental principles remain sound.

This installment was really good, exploring some of the preconceptions of what a hero must be ... and worldly wise is probably one characteristic that would be on any list – yet Josiah bucks the trend and does it in a disarmingly charming way. Laney is quite possibly the total opposite when they meet, but in true CB fashion, spanking helps sort through their issues and a fun story ensues.

Rayanna Jamison is a happily married mother of two in her mid-thirties. She grew up in the PNW, but recently made a big life change and moved to the southwest. Part of that life change included getting back to her first love: writing.

Rayanna has been writing since she was able, and always dreamed of being an author growing up. She never thought she would write spanking romance, but she loves to read it, so why not?

When she is not writing, (which is much too often) Rayanna enjoys spending time with her family and dear friends, cooking, playing games, reading and exploring her new area.

Her favorite things in life besides her husband and kids are good friends, good food, and good wine. Her passions tend to be evident in the stories she writes.
