Welcome to Corbin’s Bend: Leading the Way by Constance Masters

Greetings from Corbins Bend Banner

Zachary Cunningham moved his family to Corbin's Bend when everything in their life seemed out of control. In a DD relationship with his wife Erin, he thought things had leveled out now that they lived in a community where everyone watched out for one another and discipline was the norm. Surely his family life could be more settled now.

Erin had never made friends easily and in Corbin's Bend she found it doubly as hard. A little too hard on herself, she ignored her mentor and any friendliness from neighbors; so afraid of making a mistake that she didn't try. Until her husband insisted. Having convinced herself she was doing what he wanted, she made friends with a few ladies who liked to push the envelope a little. From bowling to a strip club to smoking a little weed, her life was definitely a lot more fun, even if she was hiding her activities from Zach.

When her husband and the board of Corbin's Bend discovered their indiscretions, Erin and her friends found out what public discipline really meant. When the discipline led to a larger sense of security and more friendships than she could have imagined, Erin began to understand that following Zachary's lead truly was the way.

Ruthie – ☆☆☆

This is the fourth book in the series about Corbin's Bend, a community where Domestic Discipline and spanking are the norm, so people can relax amongst understanding neighbours. Each book brings us another couple, but ensures that we see old friends along the way. I enjoy the feeling of community that has been developing through the series. As we tend to see fairly newly arrived residents, and get to learn why they have moved here, each book could be read independently too.

In this case, a somewhat lonely Erin is led astray by her newly made friends and some very funny moments ensue. In places I felt that the behaviours were a long way away from her original character, but overall the story held together well and the message worked.

The fourth book in a series of books about Corbin’s Bend, a community for people who enjoy spanking and/or Domestic Discipline. The Cunningham’s moved to Corbin’s Bend because their life was spinning out of control and Zach hoped being in the spanko community would help things. Zach’s wife isn’t fitting in well and he didn’t realize it. Erin wasn’t making friends and hated life at Corbin’s Bend. Zach pushed Erin along with their mentors to make friends. Making friends turned out not so bad, until those friends made her do something stupid that got them all in trouble. Being in trouble in Corbin’s Bend means one thing, public discipline, which in addition to community service ends up being the best thing for Erin and her new group of friends.

Characters: I could relate to all the characters and enjoyed each of their personalities.
Sex: Yes and spanking!
Religious: No
Would I recommend to others: Yes
More than one book in the series: Yes
Genre: Romance
Would I read more by this author: Yes

The Cunninghams' moved to Corbin's Bend for a new start. Erin and Zach, the parents of 2 girls, had lost their way. Erin was secretive and hid things she knew would upset her husband. Zach, a teacher, was doing the best he could to provide for his family while Erin was a stay at home mom.

While things changed when they moved to Corbin's Bend, a lot stayed the same. Zach still worried about how to provide for his family and Erin remained closed off.

Eventually, Erin makes new friends but still clings to her old ways - ways that are counter to the Domestic Discipline lifestyle she and Zach are living in Corbin's Bend.

I liked this book, but not as much as the others in this series. I do look forward to the next book in the series.
