Scandalous Park Avenue Prince by Ella Frank & Brooke Blaine Blog Tour

I’m in love with a Carrington, just not the one I’m dating. And what’s a bigger scandal than falling for your girlfriend’s dad?

Who are we? Like you even need to ask. We’re the seven richer-than-sin legacies causing debauchery at the prestigious Astor University in Manhattan.
Some call us spoiled.
Some call us trouble.
But everyone calls us the Park Avenue Princes.

Preston Abernathy
“The Perfect Guy”

When people look at me, I know what they see.
-a model student
-senator’s son with a shining future in politics
-Serena Carrington’s boyfriend
-the studious, polite, dependable Park Avenue Prince

But sometimes looks can be deceiving. Because I’m hiding a secret. A big one. One that could shake the very foundation of the Upper East Side elite.

My secret has dark blond hair and a smile that could charm the pants off anyone—including mine. Charismatic. Powerful. Unbelievably gorgeous, with a body I fantasize about—not that they will ever know. This secret is one I’ll take to the grave.

Because, you see, I am in love with a Carrington, just not the one I’m dating.
And what’s a bigger scandal than falling for your girlfriend’s dad?

Mr. Carrington was the perfect in-law in my parents’ eyes. Bet that would change if they knew what a “good boy” he thought their son was.

Scandalous Park Avenue Prince is the third book in the Park Avenue Princes series. It can be read as a standalone but reads so much better when you read them in the order that the authors intended.

Preston is the perfect one, he does everything that is asked or expected of him. His father has his life laid out for him – politics, marrying his girlfriend, and having babies. But the path he's expected to follow isn't anything that he wants. He loves his girlfriend, Serena, she's the best friend he's ever had but she's involved in one of his biggest secrets. Her dad, Archer, is involved in his other secret.

Preston is gay and no one but Serena knows, and the situation works for them – they do what they want but in public they are the perfect couple, until that doesn't work for one of them. Preston has had a crush on Archer for years and when the perfect moment presents itself, Preston kisses Archer and what he never expected is Archer kissing him back. Archer Carrington is a very distinguished man in their social circle. He never expects in a million years to kiss his daughter's boyfriend. It was a mistake; he shouldn't be thinking about him, right?

I loved the chemistry Archer and Preston have. I love that Preston was so perfect to everyone else but had all these secrets and desires. The expectations were set for him, but with Archer he was able to admit he didn't want any of that, he wanted to be his own man and follow his own dreams. My only complaint was the fallout, there was so much buildup to it and then we didn't get the whole story. I'm hoping it'll be explained in the next book but it was kind of a letdown.

I love this world that these authors created and I can't wait for what's next!

This is the third book in the series, and you will definitely get more of an understanding about the life of Preston if you have read earlier books. Each one concentrates on a rich ‘Park Avenue Prince’ who is going to university and living it up… possibly about to find their happily ever after. This one is slightly surprising as Preston has been with his girlfriend, Serena, for ages, and seemed the stable one in the group.

I enjoyed the premise of the book, which is that Preston has a serious crush on Serena’s dad, and liked even more that Serena is supportive. The reality of his family’s expectations weighs heavily on him, and this new love, Archer, is friends with his father. The complications make this relationship seem impossible – but the chemistry between them is definitely combustible. There are plenty of scenes to heat up your day, one of them a little unexpected!

The fact that the guys get together to support Preston and give him the encouragement to lead the life he wants, shows their better side, and it is fun how they all find out in the first place… can anyone keep a secret?

Some good hints as to who may get their story told soon, and more Caleb issues ensure we are waiting for that situation to be resolved.

I hope we get more on how this relationship moves forward in future installments.

This is the third book in the series. It can be read as a standalone but is better when read as part of the series. Preston has his whole life mapped out by his family and he knows what is expected of him and has done it so far. He has a girlfriend he's been with for years; he loves her but she's his best friend, they each do their own thing and she knows he's gay. Preston is in love with his girlfriend’s dad, Archer. So, we have an age-gap and a little taboo-ish about liking the dad, sounds hot, right? Some things were; don't get me wrong, there was strong physical, sexual chemistry but that's it. I actually was bored a few times reading this because things didn't get good until past the 50% mark in the book. I felt the ending was rushed and we didn't get all the answers we needed, maybe in the next book but probably not since it'll be a new couple. I don't know, this one just didn't do it for me, but I will continue the series.

It was complicated as hell. A secret that could ruin us both.
