The Gritty Truth by Melissa Foster Release Blitz

Love the Whiskeys? Quincy Gritt is Coming. The Gritty Truth by Melissa Foster .

Recovering drug addict Quincy Gritt has fought his demons. He’s confessed to his crimes and conquered his addictions. He’s finally ready to go after sweet, sexy Roni, the gorgeous brunette who won a date with him in a charity auction five months ago and has been putting him off, and driving him wild, ever since.

Dancer Veronica “Roni” Wescott worked hard to escape the seedy area where she was raised and followed her dreams to Julliard, only to have them shattered in the blink of an eye. She fought hard and regained her footing, but then the rug was pulled out from under her again when the grandmother who raised her passed away, leaving Roni feeling adrift in a world she knows very little about outside of dance. And then there's Charlie Hunnam-lookalike Quincy Gritt—the man whose late-night texts pulled her through her grief and have been setting her heart aflutter for months.

Quincy pulls out all the stops, determined to prove that their friendship is only the beginning of what’s destined to be so much more. Romantic nights lead to smoldering passion and a deep connection too strong to be denied. But when Quincy’s past comes back to haunt him, can he and Roni accept their new gritty truth, or will Quincy spiral back into the darkness and lose the future he fought so hard to have?

The Whiskeys are perfect beach reads with depth of story, strong family ties, and a wealth of emotions. Small town love stories with happily ever afters guaranteed.

This is the seventh book in the series, and we get a better understanding of Quincy's past and what he has been through. As he tries to move past his demons, he is falling for a dancer who is the teacher of Kennedy's dance class.

Former dancer Veronica "Roni" Wescott has been a dancer for as long as she can remember. It was the one thing to take all the bad things out of her head when she needed too. Now the thing stuck in her head is Quincy Gritt, and Roni wants more than to dance with the sexy man she won a date with five months ago. But she doesn't want to get too involved.

When Roni finally gives in and goes out with Quincy, the sparks fly and the heat sizzles below the surface. These two just might combust before anything ever happens. As they grow closer together, Quincy has to confess his past to her. He hopes it doesn't make her run the other way, but she has a right to know. After all, she told him about her life-threatening wreck that cost her her dancing career.

This story is fun, sexy, fast-paced, and filled with the Whiskey family and Dark Knights MC. It has everything that has kept this series going and so much more. Once you get started, you do not want it to end because you feel like you are with the family. I would recommend reading the complete series but definitely reading book one, Tru Blue, which is Truman's story and you get some of Quincy's back story too. So sit back and enjoy the ride that is The Whiskeys.

This is the seventh book in the series – I absolutely recommend that you read them in order but at the very least read book one, where we get to understand much more of Quincy's past. I am a huge fan of Melissa Foster and love how she has broadened out the Whiskey family to include the reformed Quincy, thanks to his brother Truman, whose story is told in Tru Blue.

It is a fine balance that Quincy has achieved over the last few years. His brother and adopted family have given him the chance that was not afforded him as a child. He is holding down a job, supporting his brother in bringing up their very young siblings, and acting as a sponsor for someone at NA. He is on a new path, and sets his sights on the beautiful dancer, Roni.

As we get to know both these people, who have suffered much tribulation, we cannot help but want them to find love – but Roni has to take a huge leap of faith when Quincy is honest about his past. I loved her attitude and support, as well as her research and commitment. I thought that Foster did an amazing job of writing about how shocked she was, how convinced Quincy was that she would walk away, and how actually she needed time to process.

It really was a gritty story, but so worth reading, and I am already excited about the next book in the series, whenever it may be released!
