First off, you have to love the Redemption Ranch for what they do. Second, you have to love the Dark Knights for who they are and their beliefs. Put these two things together and you get a perfect place for someone to get their life back on track.

Three kids grew up together, becoming the best of friends. Two would dare each other to do something, while the other would film it because if it wasn't on film, no one would believe it. That is how Dare, Billie, and Eddie became the Daredevils.

When something tragic happened, Billie turned her back on all things that made her Billie. She still went through the motions, but she pulled away from almost everyone. Even her family noticed her pulling away. Dare finally had enough and took matters into his own hands and showed her the light. He wanted her to see that life was better with her living her best life. But Dare didn't know what she was going through, and he helped her get through it.

This is another fantastic story from author Melissa Foster that will rip out your emotions and have you scrambling to wrangle them back before you lose them altogether. Dare and Billie are perfect together, he is the comedian, and she is the sassy girl who keeps him sane. I cannot wait for book two. And then again, I can't wait for any book from this author.

This is the first of a new series, but as any Melissa Foster fan will expect, it is in the world that we all know and love and brings us many familiar old friends, plus gives us the happiness of catching up on many previous successful relationships.

Dare, Billie, and Eddie grew up together, daredevils and talented on two wheels... but Billie chose Eddie, and then he died in a stunt gone wrong, and she stopped doing all those things and cut her closest friend out of her life.

Billie now works in the family bar, and stays away from the biggest temptation in her life. We know that this is not going to work forever and get to watch the two of them find their new normal as a duo. So many lovely moments dealing with difficult issues which have been buried and allowing those deep feelings to surface again. I love that we get to see them both come back to their best lives together.

Dare also has to make some changes in how he approaches life, but he is determined to make Billie come back to life... so crazily romantic in the very best biker way – swoon-worthy for sure. Nothing will stand in his way, whatever happens – who could wish for more?

Be warned that once you start this it will be very difficult to stop, so plan for a good few hours of quiet, stay hydrated, and get ready for a fabulous story from page one.

If it makes you feel any better, when I’m going for a solo ride, it’s your face I see and your mouth I’m thinking about.

I have to say that I have been waiting for Diesel and Tracey's story, and I was not disappointed at all.

This story is filled with all things that make a story totally awesome, from Diesel and Tracey's past to the way they are together, it is perfect.

I do have to say that this is one story that I highly recommend that you read it even if you haven't read anything else from author Melissa Foster, it is that awesome. And come on, look at that cover too. I love everything about this series, and I think Running on Diesel has just become my favorite, if that is possible. It is filled with angst, funny lines from Tracey, Diesel, all the Whiskeys, and their friends. It's filled with friends, family, and brotherhood. Something I love about reading any of Foster's books.

I hope you fall in love with Running on Diesel too.

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆☆
This is the eighth book in this particular series, but as all Foster books, it links across her whole world, and is all the richer for it. I am a huge fan and am always delighted to get the chance to find out more about these lovely families, and their lives and loves.

Diesel has been in our sights for a while, as he has been at Peaceful Harbor helping out for the last couple of years. He has been keeping a close eye on bartender Tracey, too, but well aware that given her past, he was far too big and loud and utterly unsuitable for her – even if he is completely beguiled by her.

Tracey moved in with a boyfriend who turned out to be abusive. She has pulled herself up by her bootstraps and, thanks to the Whiskeys, she is much happier and finally feels safe again. She is training in martial arts so that she can protect herself should she ever need to and is making wise decisions about her future. Her heart wants Diesel, but that is definitely not wise.

I loved the dance that these two play, and the way that the whole family gather round and support them both as they consider taking a chance.

Another totally fascinating, sexy, and utterly adorable story. I highly recommend this to you – so many revelations and second chances... enchanting.

I love everything about the Whiskeys and adding Penny and Scott to the mix makes it even sweeter. Penny owns the ice cream shop where she mixes ice cream to match people's moods. And she is good at it. While Scott is the brother to Sarah and Josie.

This is a short story, but it is filled with enough love to be a full-length novel, so sit back and enjoy the hotness that is In for a Penny. I can't wait for Running on Diesel coming next.

This is a wonderful novella which forms part of the Dark Knights series. As any reader of Melissa Foster's extensive catalogue of books will know, there are links between the families that appear in all her stories, so you can drop in anywhere and then branch out into other wonderful story worlds and still feel amongst friends. In this book we catch up with two side characters who absolutely deserved their story to be told – and I loved it from cover to cover.

If you want to escape some of the reality of the day and immerse yourself in a very good romance, then this will fit the bill and is short enough that you will still get to sleep at a reasonable hour!

The Gritty Truth by Melissa Foster Release Blitz

Love the Whiskeys? Quincy Gritt is Coming. The Gritty Truth by Melissa Foster .

Recovering drug addict Quincy Gritt has fought his demons. He’s confessed to his crimes and conquered his addictions. He’s finally ready to go after sweet, sexy Roni, the gorgeous brunette who won a date with him in a charity auction five months ago and has been putting him off, and driving him wild, ever since.

Dancer Veronica “Roni” Wescott worked hard to escape the seedy area where she was raised and followed her dreams to Julliard, only to have them shattered in the blink of an eye. She fought hard and regained her footing, but then the rug was pulled out from under her again when the grandmother who raised her passed away, leaving Roni feeling adrift in a world she knows very little about outside of dance. And then there's Charlie Hunnam-lookalike Quincy Gritt—the man whose late-night texts pulled her through her grief and have been setting her heart aflutter for months.

Quincy pulls out all the stops, determined to prove that their friendship is only the beginning of what’s destined to be so much more. Romantic nights lead to smoldering passion and a deep connection too strong to be denied. But when Quincy’s past comes back to haunt him, can he and Roni accept their new gritty truth, or will Quincy spiral back into the darkness and lose the future he fought so hard to have?

The Whiskeys are perfect beach reads with depth of story, strong family ties, and a wealth of emotions. Small town love stories with happily ever afters guaranteed.

Mary – ☆☆☆☆☆
This is the seventh book in the series, and we get a better understanding of Quincy's past and what he has been through. As he tries to move past his demons, he is falling for a dancer who is the teacher of Kennedy's dance class.

Former dancer Veronica "Roni" Wescott has been a dancer for as long as she can remember. It was the one thing to take all the bad things out of her head when she needed too. Now the thing stuck in her head is Quincy Gritt, and Roni wants more than to dance with the sexy man she won a date with five months ago. But she doesn't want to get too involved.

When Roni finally gives in and goes out with Quincy, the sparks fly and the heat sizzles below the surface. These two just might combust before anything ever happens. As they grow closer together, Quincy has to confess his past to her. He hopes it doesn't make her run the other way, but she has a right to know. After all, she told him about her life-threatening wreck that cost her her dancing career.

This story is fun, sexy, fast-paced, and filled with the Whiskey family and Dark Knights MC. It has everything that has kept this series going and so much more. Once you get started, you do not want it to end because you feel like you are with the family. I would recommend reading the complete series but definitely reading book one, Tru Blue, which is Truman's story and you get some of Quincy's back story too. So sit back and enjoy the ride that is The Whiskeys.

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is the seventh book in the series – I absolutely recommend that you read them in order but at the very least read book one, where we get to understand much more of Quincy's past. I am a huge fan of Melissa Foster and love how she has broadened out the Whiskey family to include the reformed Quincy, thanks to his brother Truman, whose story is told in Tru Blue.

It is a fine balance that Quincy has achieved over the last few years. His brother and adopted family have given him the chance that was not afforded him as a child. He is holding down a job, supporting his brother in bringing up their very young siblings, and acting as a sponsor for someone at NA. He is on a new path, and sets his sights on the beautiful dancer, Roni.

As we get to know both these people, who have suffered much tribulation, we cannot help but want them to find love – but Roni has to take a huge leap of faith when Quincy is honest about his past. I loved her attitude and support, as well as her research and commitment. I thought that Foster did an amazing job of writing about how shocked she was, how convinced Quincy was that she would walk away, and how actually she needed time to process.

It really was a gritty story, but so worth reading, and I am already excited about the next book in the series, whenever it may be released!

Taming My Whiskey by Melissa Foster Release Blitz

Buckle up for a wild ride as Dixie Whiskey finds forever love in Taming My Whiskey, a funny, sexy, and emotionally riveting standalone romance by New York Times bestselling author Melissa Foster. The perfect love story for those who enjoy fiercely loyal and insanely sexy alpha heroes, smart, sassy heroines, strong family bonds, bikers, babies, and more!

Being the princess of the Dark Knights motorcycle club doesn’t come with a white knight or a fairy-tale castle, and that’s okay, because Dixie Whiskey has never needed a man to slay her dragons or make her whole. Even so, after watching each of her brothers fall in love, she’d sure like a shot at her own happily ever after. But with the Dark Knights watching over her and the only man she’s ever wanted out of reach, she’s not holding her breath.

As the launch of Silver-Stone Cycles’ biggest line approaches, Jace Stone is left needing a favor from the one woman who holds the power to take him to his knees. He knows when it comes to sinfully gorgeous and sharp-tongued Dixie Whiskey, he must stay on his toes and keep his walls firmly in place. But Jace needs her for his business—and Jace Stone always gets what he wants.

When the tall, gruff, and darkly handsome biker presents an opportunity that any other woman might see as the chance of a lifetime, Dixie turns him down flat. But Jace is determined, and he pulls out all the stops—sending Dixie’s overprotective brothers up in arms. Rebellious Dixie takes a stand—going after the freedom, and the man, she’s always wanted. One scorching kiss leads to an undeniable connection, but Jace isn't looking to be tied down, and Dixie refuses to play second fiddle. Can two untamable hearts find forever love in each other’s arms?

She walked over to a table where three guys had just finished their beers and grabbed their empty bottles. “Refills?”

“Yeah, thanks,” one of the guys said.

She walked away with the human inferno that was Jace Stone on her heels.

“Dixie, how can you be upset with me? I gave you a twenty-thousand-dollar donation for the auction.”

She set the bottles on the bar and said, “Which I truly appreciate, but giving of yourself and giving money are two different things. One is easy and mindless. The other tells me who you are. It was a real eye-opener.” She crossed her arms and said, “What did you need help with anyway?”

Diesel grabbed the empty bottles, and Dixie said, “Another round, please.”

“I’m rolling out the Legacy line in the fall.”

“So I’ve heard. Bear’s pretty excited.” In addition to working at Whiskey Automotive, Bear worked part-time designing and building custom motorcycles for Jace’s company. He hadn’t worked on the Legacy line, but he raved about it.

“We all are. This line is my baby. I’ve put blood, sweat, and tears into it. It’s the first motorcycle line that will have bikes designed specifically for women. Nobody’s doing that, Dix. This is a huge deal.”

Bear had told her all about Jace’s innovative, sleek designs for women. It was a genius idea, and it didn’t surprise her that Jace had come up with it. But she couldn’t help thinking about Jace researching the contours of women’s bodies…

Diesel put three bottles on the bar, eyes locked on Jace. “Stone,” he said evenly.

“Diesel.” Jace lifted his chin in the manly greeting Dixie was accustomed to.

“Thanks, Diesel,” Dixie said, and as she headed to the table with Jace beside her, she said, “Congratulations on the line, but what does it have to do with needing me?” She set the bottles down, flashed a smile at the customers, and said, “Can I get you boys anything else?”

One of them looked her up and down lasciviously. Jace stepped closer, and the guy shifted his eyes away and said, “No. We’re good.”

Dixie spun on her heels, grabbed Jace’s arm, and dragged him to the side of the room. She felt Diesel’s antennae springing and glanced at the bar, mouthing, I’m fine! Turning her attention to Jace, she spoke in a harsh whisper. “You just fucked up my tip, and I don’t appreciate it. So whatever you have to say, say it and be gone, okay? I’ve got work to do.”

“That guy was looking at you like you were a piece of meat.”

“No shit. They all do.” Except now that she was thinking about it, Jace never had. Not once. In fact, in all the years she’d known him, this was the longest he’d ever looked at her. He didn’t live in Peaceful Harbor, but he traveled there often to see his brother Jared, who had signed up for the auction. Jared owned a restaurant in Pleasant Hill and lived there for several months out of the year. “I have a lot to do, Jace, so if you have more to say, please get on with it.”

“I’m launching a women’s clothing line called Leather and Lace when we launch the Legacy line. We’re making a calendar to promote the clothing and the new bikes. The photo shoot is next week, and the woman I hired to model got hurt and can’t make it. I want you to replace her.”

She blinked several times, unable to believe what she was hearing. An incredulous laugh tumbled out. “Do you even fucking know me, Stone? I am not a pinup girl!” She took a step away and he grabbed her arm, tugging her back to him and keeping her so close, she could see flecks of gold in his sexy hazel eyes.

“This is important to me, Dixie. I don’t want someone who fakes being a biker. I want an authentic woman. I want you.”

“Do I need to point out that I was your second choice, or maybe your tenth. I don’t know or care, because any way you cut it, the answer is no. I told you, I’m not a pinup girl.” She held his steady gaze with an ice-cold one of her own and said, “For the record, Whiskeys don’t play second fiddle to anyone. Sorry, Stone, but you’re out of luck.”

“Come on, Dixie,” he pleaded gruffly. “I’ll let you auction me off.”

“Too little, too late. The ballot is full.” The lie felt victorious. She yanked her arm free and said, “I have customers to help. Good luck with the line. I’m sure, like everything you touch, it will turn to gold.”

“With you on board, it’ll be legendary.”

“No.”

He leaned closer and lowered his voice to say, “This isn’t over, kitten.”

“What the hell did you just say?” Anger simmered inside her. She poked him in his rock-hard chest and said, “I’m nobody’s kitten, and you’re this close to earning a knee to your groin.”

“You definitely know how to use those claws, and you’re so sweet I bet you purr,” he said arrogantly. “You know you want to do it, Dix.”

His eyes drilled into her, causing heat to sear through her veins and her traitorous nipples to pebble into aching peaks. Damn, he played dirty.

“Careful, Stone. This kitten bites.”

I have waited for Dixie's story since I first read about this family and it was worth the wait.

Dixie is the younger sister of three alpha brothers and the daughter of the president of the Dark Knights MC. She is surrounded by men who want to protector her, but she is tired of all the cavemen in her life. She wants to live her life her way. She fell for the man she wants when she was 18 years old, but he doesn't know that. When he shows up wanting her to be in a calendar for his new clothing line, she turns him down.

Jace Stone wants Dixie to be the face of Silver-Stone Cycles' newest line and he needs to convince her why she is the only choice. Jace knows that spending time with Dixie, he will have to keep things professional. He cannot let his desires win because he has wanted her since he met her all those years ago.

Can Jace talk Dixie into doing the calendar for him? Will they give in to the attraction that is simmering between them? Will Dixie give her heart to Jace just to have it broken? Will there be a happily ever after for them in the end?

This story has turned out to be my favorite for the Whiskey siblings. It is funny, sexy, heartbreaking, and will leave you feeling happy. The story is perfect for Dixie because it is badass just like her. I loved everything about Dixie and Jace and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new author or a next read. Melissa Foster is an awesome author if you haven't read anything from her, start with this series, you will not be disappointed.

This is the sixth book in the series, and I have loved them all! Melissa Foster is a wonderful storyteller, and this is a great addition to her Whiskey series.

Finally Dixie gets her chance at breaking out from under her brothers' caring control and having a relationship herself. They love her very much, but no one is ever going to be good enough. Luckily, Jace Stone has no fear and when he gets a chance to make her the face of his new range of bikes and fashion, he will not take no for an answer.

Dixie has had a crush on Jace for years, but as the little sister of his friends, he was never going to pay her the right type of attention, even if her brothers approved... and they wouldn't. It is now years later, and although Dixie is a key part of the family business, they continue to be up in hers. But maybe, just maybe, she will have a chance to breakaway with the modelling task she takes on for Stone. Even if he is only offering a short-lived fling, better to have that than nothing at all. Only thing is that he really was everything and now there is nothing.

Enjoying these two getting together and giving in to the chemistry between them is super hot. However, Jace refuses to give into his heart, and lives for work, so he distances himself, and leaves Dixie broken hearted. He soon realises his mistake, but will he get a second chance?

Again, a fabulous story full of family, fun, love, passion, and business. I love the depth and intensity of the Whiskey clan that we get to enjoy and would know them all should I ever have the pleasure of meeting them for real!

As she drove away, she decided to surprise Jed with lunch. He’d done so much for her, and she was too excited to just go back to the shelter. She stopped at Jazzy Joe’s café and picked up sandwiches for her and Jed and a cookie for Hail, which she’d give him after school. Then she drove over to the auto shop to surprise Jed.

When she arrived at the shop, she realized she probably should have called first. They were busy, and she had no idea if Jed even took a lunch break, much less if he was working there or at the bar today. She scanned the open bays, but didn’t see Jed. She spotted jeans-clad legs sticking out from beneath a car in the first bay, so she headed over with the bag from Jazzy Joe’s.

Truman slid out from beneath the car as she approached. “Hey, Josie. Looking for Jed?”

“Yeah. I thought I’d bring him lunch. I won’t stay or get in the way.”

“No worries.” He pushed to his feet and pointed to a set of steps by the office. “He’s up in his apartment. He’s not working at the bar until three. Go on up. I’m sure he’ll be glad to see you.”

“Thanks.” She headed for the steps and saw Tex peering at an engine beneath the hood of a car. “Hi,” she said as she walked by.

“Hi. Josie, right?”

Big Mama, the big calico cat she’d seen at the bonfire, wound around her legs. She leaned down to pet her. “Yes. Good to see you again.”

“That was some party, huh?”

“It was fun. I’m just going up to see Moon—Jed.”

Tex winked. “Have fun.”

As she climbed the steps she played over that wink, wondering if Tex was used to women going up to Jed’s apartment in the middle of the day. On the landing at the top of the stairs she knocked on the door, trying to ignore the swirling in her stomach. She waited for what felt like forever, but in reality was probably only a minute, and then she knocked again. She heard him say something that sounded like come in, so she turned the knob and peered around the door, quickly scanning the masculine loft-style apartment. Worn hardwood floors ran beneath a deep-cushioned brown couch, an orange chair, and a heavy wooden coffee table. There was a small open kitchen and glass doors that led to a deck.

“Moon?” she called out.

“In here,” came from behind a partially open door.

She closed the door behind her, and as she crossed the room, she said, “I just got done with Scotty and—”

He pulled open the door and she lost her voice. His hair was wet and tousled, his bare chest slick from a shower, and sweet baby Jesus, he was naked, save for a towel tied low on his hips.

“And…?” he asked as he stepped toward her.

She tried to speak, but her mouth had gone bone dry. A devilish grin spread across his face.

There he is. My big bad wolf.

And that wasn’t all that was big about him.

Her gaze dropped to the significant bump in the towel. Heat whipped through her like a torrential storm, bullying its way through her core, up her chest, and down her limbs. Her sex clenched, and her nipples burned. He lifted her chin, and that flirtatious smile morphed to sinfully enticing hunger.

“And…?” he whispered against her lips, drawing a needy whimper from her lungs. “Did you miss me, Little Red?”

Josie has hit rock bottom. After her husband died and she lost everything, she is trying to make the best of things for her and her young son living in a shelter. She wants to reunite with her siblings, but she is scared they hate her. All she needs to do is find a job, move out of the shelter, and make amends, and life would be so much better. When she finally gets the nerve to visit her sister, she is surprised to see Moon there. A man she met years ago and has never forgotten.

Jed "Moon" can't believe his eyes, his Jojo is here. Or at least he thinks it's Jojo. He has to find out and find out where she has been all these years. He wants to make sure she is okay, protect her if someone is after her and her son. And he wants her back in his life.

Josie and Moon still have the sparks and chemistry they had all those years ago when they spent the night together and the sizzle doesn't seem to be dying down any. When Moon learns Josie lost her husband, he wants to be there for her and help her. He gets her a job interview with a friend, introduces her to the Whiskeys, and makes sure she has time to spend with her brother and sister. As Josie, Hail, and Moon spend more and more time together, their love grows and grows.

Can Moon let Josie be what she needs and still not lose who she is? Will Josie accept all Moon can offer her and Hail? Will Hail accept Moon into his life?

I love the Whiskey family and those close to them. Moon, Josie, and Hail fit right in and have all they need. If you haven't read anything by Melissa Foster, start with this series, each book is about a different couple and worth reading them all. And Foster is worth reading any of her books. I hope you give this one a chance and love it as much as I have.

This is the fifth book in the series – and really I would recommend that you indulge in the whole goodness, and don't dip in here first... but it is a fabulous story which will just have you going back to the beginning anyway! I didn't have time to reread the previous books, but still remembered enough to love watching this beautiful romance unfold.

Before I say more, I should suggest that you ensure you have a tissue to hand, and maybe consider reading this somewhere private – you would not want to be in a public place when the enormity of this hits you! Melissa Foster is incredibly talented at pulling at the heartstrings and making one tear up, so be warned!

Josie, Jed, and Hail... a nascent family which we can see as being the right way forward from very early on in this lovely book – but obviously, nothing is quite that simple. Josie's still finding her way after her husband's death, but as the Whiskey clan close in to support her and her son, suddenly there is light in her future. Jed is a significant contributor to her positivity, but finding the strength to reconnect with her siblings is something that she knows she needs to do.

I loved that there were plenty of community events, so that we get to catch up with the rest of the Whiskey family. How Josie finds a closeness with her sister, and also Crystal, Dixie, et al., finally releasing the darkness from her past. We also get some foreshadowing of who will be in line next to get their chance at a happily ever after.

Another beautiful story, thank you, Melissa Foster. (Even if I did need tissues!)
