Headlines by Ella Frank Blog Tour

USA Today bestselling author Ella Frank concludes the story of Sean Bailey and Alexander "Xander" Thorne in Headlines.

Xander

If I had to describe Sean Bailey, it would be as the sexy, caring, wonderful man I’ve gone and fallen in love with. I never could’ve imagined a world where he was my everything. But with each passing day, the connection between us grows stronger, and the idea of a world without him is something I can’t imagine.

But Sean’s love doesn’t come without complications. As the older brother of my lifelong best friend, this new love has caused relationships to break down and communication to become stilted, and the one question that remains is: am I willing to give up the love and friendship of one for the chance of love and forever with another?

Sean
I didn’t mean to fall in love with Alexander Thorne, my brother’s ex and the number one prime-time news anchor in the country. I mean, no one could’ve seen that coming—least of all me. But that’s exactly what happened over these past couple of months: I fell in love.

That’d be complicated enough, I suppose, but Xander? Well, he fell in love with me too, and while it’s caused some major upset in the dynamics around here, I have to believe that a love this real can only lead to somewhere amazing.

This thing between us started out as a job, a friend helping out a friend. But after playing the role of Xander’s boyfriend, I find myself wanting the job full-time, because neither of us are playing anymore.

Headlines is the final book of the Prime Time Series and should only be read after book one, Inside Affair, and book two, Breaking News.

This is the final book in the series, and you most definitely need to read them in order. In fact, I would suggest that if you haven't already, you should probably go back to the very beginning of the linked series and enjoy the whole Ella Frank Temptation onwards books – and even if you have, the pleasure of reading about these men finding their romantic futures is erotic, passionate, and full of love.

We left Sean and Xander very much aware of their depth of feelings for each other, but still navigating how that becomes common knowledge – although Sean's younger brother and Xander's best friend and lover, Bailey, has seen them and is furious. Dealing with the pain of being ignored by Bailey and trying to move forward together without him being on board causes angst, but also gives Boudreau a chance to develop a better relationship with Sean. I love the tension, the intensity, and all the history which ties these men and knowing their history made it all the richer.

Alongside these issues, you can rest assured that we get plenty of opportunity to see how well the two men are taking to being together intimately, and given Sean's inexperience, one can enjoy how quick he is to learn what Xander loves and how much he loves to provide it. They are combustible, no doubt about it.

I loved this book, and read it in every spare minute, and yet did not want it to end. Without a doubt, it joins the pile of Ella Frank books which provide comfort and pleasure on rereading. Enjoy!

Headlines is the third and final book in the Prime Time series. It shouldn't be read as a standalone. You need to read this series in the order the author intended. You'll miss too much of the back story and it is so worth it!

Sean and Xander pick up where Breaking News (book two) left them. Bailey, Sean's brother and Xander's best friend, found out about the relationship. Bailey isn't happy and feels betrayed. Sean and Xander want to do anything they can to get Bailey to understand how they got together and see that the feelings they have are real.

Sean and Xander are finding balance within this new relationship. Xander is realizing Sean is everything he needs. He calms him in a way he never knew he needed. Sean's coming out wasn't as earth shattering as he thought it may be. He doesn't care what anyone else has to say, as long as he has Xander by his side he'll be fine.

I loved seeing the growth of these characters and their relationship. I know this book was highlighting Bailey and his "issues" with Sean and Xander, but he just came off as jealous and super petty. It honestly annoyed me more than anything, but it didn't take away from Xander and Sean – I am still five starring this one! Sean and Xander's happily ever after was everything I needed for this couple!!

I can't wait to see what Frank has up her sleeve next!

This is the third and final installment in the Prime Time series; you must read the previous two books. I can't even begin to put into words how I feel about Sean and Xander, these two men just make me swoon. I stayed up all night because I had to finish... I hated to finish, but it was worth it. The epilogue was the cherry on top, so sweet.
