His to Serve by Ari McKay

Cameron Ward is an actor from Atlanta. After a stint in New York, he returns home to find work in Georgia’s growing film and TV industry. He lands a lead role in a film, playing a submissive, but he doesn’t know anything about the lifestyle. Wanting to make sure his portrayal is believable, Cameron goes to the Candy Cane Club, a BDSM dungeon, where he meets Anton Albright, a Dom. Cameron loosens up enough to do a scene with Anton, but he discovers a side of himself he’d never suspected. But Cameron had enough difficulty coming out as gay, and he’s not ready to admit he’s a submissive as well.

Dr. Anton Albright has a reputation for being good with new subs. What he’d really like, though, is a sub of his own. Cameron is the kind of man Anton wants, and once Cameron accepts his need to serve – and, especially, to serve Anton – they explore the possibilities of a relationship that will give them both everything they want and need.

But when fame comes calling at Cameron’s door, their private, intimate world is threatened. Anton’s medical practice won’t survive his private life being held up to public display, and Cameron finds it difficult to adjust to extended periods away from his Sir. Can they find a compromise that will make them both happy, or will Cameron’s rising star force him to leave Anton behind?

Avid Reader☆☆☆
M/M BDSM Romance

Cameron and Anton were a strange couple. They seem to have almost nothing in common with the exception that they both live the lifestyle. When Cameron wants to know more about an upcoming role he's playing, he signs up for the local BDSM club. Anton is paired with him to give him a taste.

What follows is not really a romance. It's more of a series of missed time spent together and telephone conversations. While I wanted to really like this story, it felt more like friendship than romance. Also, the scenes were almost nonexistent and almost their entire relationship was long distance.

Overall, while they did have some good chemistry, it just missed the mark for me in terms of development and continuity.

ARI MCKAY is the professional pseudonym for Arionrhod and McKay, who have been writing together for over a decade. Their collaborations encompass a wide variety of romance genres, including contemporary, fantasy, science fiction, gothic, and action/adventure. Their work includes the Blood Bathory series of paranormal novels, the Herc’s Mercs series, as well as two historical Westerns: Heart of Stone and Finding Forgiveness. When not writing, they can often be found scheming over costume designs or binge watching TV shows together.

Arionrhod is a systems engineer by day who is eagerly looking forward to (hopefully) becoming a full-time writer in the not-too-distant future. Now that she is an empty-nester, she has turned her attentions to finding the perfect piece of land to build a fortress in preparation for the zombie apocalypse, and baking (and eating) far too many cakes.

McKay is an English teacher who has been writing for one reason or another most of her life. She also enjoys knitting, reading, cooking, and playing video games. She has been known to knit in public. Given she has the survival skills of a gnat, she’s relying on Arionrhod to help her survive the zombie apocalypse.
