More Than Crave You by Shayla Black Release Blitz

I'm Evan Cook—billionaire tech entrepreneur and widower. Professionally, I’ve got it all. But since my wife died, my personal life has fallen apart. Remarrying seems like the obvious answer, so I place an ad. I'm not asking for much. The ideal woman only needs to be smart, organized, pretty, and helpful—both in and out of bed—without expecting romance. I never thought to look right in front of me… but it turns out that Nia Wright, my sexy, sassy assistant, just might be the perfect candidate.

After an unexpectedly hot night together, I'm ready to stop interviewing strangers and simply marry her. On paper, she ticks every box on my list. Best of all, she's far too sensible to fall for me. I didn’t see the flaw in my logic until it was too late. I never thought I’d lose my heart for the first time. And I definitely never imagined Nia could consume me. But she's harboring a secret that could tear us apart. Can I prove I more than crave her before it’s too late?

More Than Crave You is a sexy and emotional standalone novel from New York Times bestselling author in the More Than Words Series..

This is Evan's book and it didn't disappoint. Evan is methodical. While he had a rough childhood and not a lot of affection growing up, he has found his person in his wife. When she is tragically killed, Evan isn't sure how to move forward with his life. While he's floundering, he figures that if he puts out an ad, he will be able to find a companion to help him with his business life and home life. However, he's convinced that he will never love another woman again. His company is worth a lot of money, so when he asks his assistant, Nia, to place the ad, she immediately is skeptical of the woman he's looking for.

I must admit that the interview process was hilarious. I loved that it was silly – almost playful. However, when Evan realizes that Nia offers him what he's been seeking, he can't help but just want her.

Nia loves her job. She's strong and independent. Having grown up in a single-parent household wasn't so bad and now, she is capable of taking care of herself. She has been in love with her boss since she began and when he comes up with a crazy plan to interview for a wife, she's kind of taken aback. But she's always professional and does as he asks. Nia also has a personal life that her boss knows nothing about. She loves to dance and does so in a burlesque show. She's erotic, classy, and everything that Evan could be looking for.

When secrets are revealed and hearts are put on the line, can Evan and Nia find their way? Evan is so closed off to love and Nia really only wants to marry someone who loves her back. Evan's family members are always good for advice and a chuckle. Sebastian as well – since he is an important aspect of this story. I truly hope he gets his own story next. I am also intrigued with the new family members being added and can't wait until the next story.

Wow, what a beginning. With Evan wanting to put an ad out there for a wife and to be married before moving to Hawaii by the end of the year. Is he crazy or something? The ad sounds like he is looking for all the wrong things. What about love and happiness? He isn't looking for love because he thinks he can't love again after he lost his wife.

Nia Wright is the perfect assistant. And after one wild night together, she is the perfect wife for Evan. But Nia wants love, the one thing that Evan thinks he can't give. Nia thinks he is crazy for his way of thinking but places the ad and sets up interviews.

When Evan realizes that Nia is all he needs, will he pop the question? Can they spend time together and learn more about each other? Will Nia show Evan that he can fall in love again? What happens when Evan learns about her secret? Will it destroy any chance they have at a future?

First, I love Evan and Nia, but he was a little out there for me. I wanted to slap him up side the head a couple of times. But then you think about his past and who his father was, and you forgive him because he never really knew love as a child. While Nia had her mother, she never knew her father. So both were missing some things.

Anyway, their story was great for them. And guess what? There will be more to this series and I can't wait. So sit back and enjoy the More Than Words series and I hope you love it too.

This is the fourth book in the series, and whilst it would stand alone well, there is most definitely extra depth to be had by reading these fabulous books in order. Evan is the unknown quantity in the family, as he was never acknowledged by their father – even when left an orphan and placed in foster care. He is tenacious, intelligent, and successful, but suffering the loss of his wife and unborn child has affected his life in ways he does not like. He therefore determines that he needs to find a replacement, but he will not countenance love in the arrangement.

With such a set up, we know that Shayla Black is going to turn his world upside down in this novel – but what she does best of all is give us a completely different view of him. When he finally understands the basis of his relationship with his wife, his whole being is laid bare and he has to rebuild himself in that knowledge. Incredibly powerful and wonderfully cathartic, I loved that element of the book. The journey to get there is not smooth, a bit like his moves on Nia, but he is an intelligent man, and he learns. His social awkwardness is a learned behaviour, and he can change.

Nia is a wonderfully strong and yet warm-hearted woman, who does not initially understand her boss well, but as she gets to know him better, she is even more invested in a future that she should not want. Together they clearly have amazing chemistry, and his unexpected inexperience is incredibly sexy, and certainly not a limitation to his prowess.

We also get to see the previous couples, as they help both Evan and Nia recognise what is important and support them through the barriers in their way. It is always a treat to catch up with the whole clan and their new lives in Maui.
