Hustler by Meghan Quinn & Jessica Prince Blog Tour

I make my living as a hustler, and I'm great at it.
I don’t have a single tell and I use that to my advantage to manipulate any situation.
I’ve always known what a person is about to do before they’ve even decided.

That is, until I met Penelope.
I can’t get a read on her, and what’s worse, she doesn’t want anything to do with me.
Which only makes me want her more.

Now I’m in for the hardest hustle of my life.
Somehow I have to convince her she belongs with me.
Good thing I’m always up for a challenge.

Meghan Quinn & Jessica Prince are both new authors to me and I’ll definitely be checking out their other works after reading Hustler, I loved it!

Penelope “Nell” Prescott has been living in Vegas for the last 3 years, having moved from a small town in Tennessee hoping to become an aerial dancer. Getting past the auditions has been impossible, and in order to keep not only a roof over her head, but a roof over her parents back home as well, Nell has been waitressing at a hotel and she’s just gotten the opportunity to work the high limit room, which offers much higher tips. The only problem, Nell’s sass lands her in trouble on her first day when she knees one of the players in the balls for copping a feel – this is when she meets the oh-so-sexy, Gavin Saint. Gavin is the best poker player in the US and he’s been hired by one of his best friends to watch the security cameras at the hotel and spot cheaters at the poker table. When he catches sight of Nell on camera, he’s immediately enamored and sets out to make her his.

I absolutely loved Penelope, her sass, wit, and fire made her one of my favorite heroines of all time. The banter between Penelope and just about everyone she spoke to, especially her best friend Page, had me in stitches. I love a read that not only has me cracking up with laughter but also manages to pull on my heart strings, and this book has both while still being a steamy romance. I look forward to reading more from both of these authors, I really hope that the hotel owner, Graham and Nell’s best friend, Page, get their own book!

I don't know what I was expecting with Hustler, but I was pleasantly surprised with what I got. I loved Penelope's spitfire, sassy attitude. Her interaction and inner dialogue were hilarious.

Gavin is the ultimate player, on and off the poker table. He's cocky and rude, a manwhore for sure. He knows one woman will never be enough. He'll never let himself open up enough to have a relationship. He plays all his cards with a poker face, never giving his tell. When he watches Penelope (Nell), an equally sassy high roller waitress, knee one of those high rollers for smacking her butt, Gavin knows he has to meet her.

Penelope moved to Vegas and was given the opportunity to work as a waitress by her friend and roommate, Page. When she gets asked to work the high roller room, she knows she can't pass up the tips. She needs the money, badly. After an incident with a player, she knows she's about to lose her job. Her fiery, spunky attitude does just the opposite.

Gavin and Nell are drawn to each, neither showing their tell. There is a lot of push and pull between them, Nell not letting Gavin dominate over her. The buildup of sexual tension is huge, and when it finally breaks, it explodes.

I laughed out loud more times than I care to admit.

It was a very fun, sexy read. I look forward to more from this duo.

I am a big fan of Ms. Quinn and clearly she and co-author, Ms. Prince, work very well together. It is clever, funny, sexy, and a really well-rounded story.

Penelope, aka Miss Prescott (but best you avoid calling her that) or Nell, is a young woman on a mission, but currently is a waitress. She wants to use her gymnastic skills to entertain, but so far has not got into the show of her dreams. Gavin is a master poker player – and we read a lot about the game, and how he uses 'tells' to determine what the other players have in their hands, and how he keeps a blank look. Once they meet, all bets are off and we can only smile our way through their interactions. The wit and cheek is great – their friends are perfect at highlighting exactly that which they would rather the other didn't know. No one has a perfect past, and as these two work through their own demons and come to terms with their current situation, there are some bumps in the road. However, as any Ms. Quinn fan will know, she does not let us down, and I loved how this all worked out.

I know it is a standalone, but really there are more stories to be told, so I hope that this talented team joins forces again soon.

Meghan Quinn

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!

Jessica Prince

Jessica was born and raised in Texas--where she'll stay because she claims the cost of living in Texas excuses the god-awful weather. She is first and foremost a wife and mother. Because of those two things, she's also a self-proclaimed wino and coffee addict.

She's always been an avid lover of all types of books, but romances are her main favorites.

Jessica's husband likes to say reading is her obsession, but she likes to call it her passion...there's a difference.
