Absolutely enjoyed this book cover to cover. Sophie is good at her job, she's a personal concierge for the elite of Boston, making a name for herself after living on the streets at 18. Xavier is your billionaire entrepreneur, but the black sheep of his resort mogul family. He hires Sophie to help to secure a meeting with an elusive Japanese CEO to build software for his smart phone company. Upon their first meeting, the sparks fly between Sophie & Xavier! As he grabs for her arm to help her from the plane, Xavier comes across a leather cuff encircling her wrist. Intrigued by that mysterious cuff, he wonders if Sophie might end up being more than just his business partner. Sophie is still nursing a broken heart. Sato was the man who left her behind to return to Japan and his family. A family that would not approve of an American wife or girlfriend. The break up left her bitter and broken, with walls around her heart. Xavier is dark, dominant, and masterful. He gets what he wants and won’t take no for an answer. Everything Sophie, as a submissive, cannot resist (I can't either, honestly!), but as a business owner knows she should!! The cat and mouse chase that follows was well worth the read. I crushed hard on Xavier and loved his character with reckless abandon! He won me & Sophie over with his dirty talk and hot scenes.

Sophie Ashton has had a rough start at life, but it is one that she has built better on her own. Being abandoned as a baby and put in foster care, the only family she has now is from foster care. Penny, Carlie, and Griffin are there for her and they know how her life started out. Now she is a personal concierge and she does her job well. And she will be the first to tell you that everyone has an inner diva. She tries to keep her personal and professional life separate, but sometimes the lines get blurred.

Xavier Quinn is a billionaire who wants Sophie to help him get in contact with a man that will benefit his business, but the man is hard to talk to. While Xavier's life growing up was different from Sophie's, he is not looking for a relationship, but who says they can't enjoy each other for a little while. While Xavier's past is always there, he knows that life will go on and he is finding that he wants Sophie in his life on a permanent basis.

Can Sophie leave her past in the past and trust Xavier? Will Xavier let his feelings for Sophie be known before it's too late?

This is a first for me from Shawntelle Madison and I really enjoyed this story and I hope there will be more to Sophie and Xavier's story.


Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is a whirlwind from beginning to end – from her arriving 10 minutes late to meet her new client to...well, that I can't reveal – we are swept along, mixing business with pleasure. And they are both very serious about business, and most definitely about pleasure too. Sophie is an overachieving business woman who naturally likes to let someone else take the lead in the bedroom. Xavier may be wary given his past, but he is not going to pass up this opportunity. There are some very hot and steamy scenes, which will leave you needing a fan and an iced drink.

I am delighted that this is a new series, as the writing is good, the premise is promising, and the heat is on high simmer.
