When Lexi gets to college the experience is eye opening for her. Meeting her roommate, Maddie, she sees they are total opposites. But she is up for new things: being her own person, being on her own for the first time, and making her own decisions.

Derek is the bad boy. Lexi knows she should stay away from him but something just keeps pulling these two together. Will Lexi loosen up and enjoy the college life? Will she remain faithful to her boyfriend from home? Or will the bad boy steal her heart?

For me I felt the story has potential, but the characters didn't come through well. I needed more about Derek, his character is very flat. Lexi is very back and forth with her thoughts and feelings from sentence to sentence. The dialogue just doesn't flow. The ending was very quick with no conclusion, not really a cliff hanger or HEA, just confusion. I think an editor or re-edit is a must with this one.

Kathryn Jacob was born and raised it Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Before getting into writing she showed All American Quarter horses around the world. Kathryn has won many prizes. After she sold her sat horse in August 2013, she decided to start writing. Who knew that it would take her a year to release Mated to the Alpha. This is a huge accomplishment for a 19 year old and to this day she will continue to write.
