Blue Mountain by Cardeno C. Blog Tour

http://www.wlkbookpromotions.com/379/

Exiled by his pack as a teen, Omega wolf Simon Moorehead learns to bury his gentle nature in the interest of survival. When a hulking, rough-faced Alpha catches Simon on pack territory, he tries to escape what he’s sure will be imminent death. But instead of killing him, the Alpha takes Simon home.

A man of action, Mitch Grant uproots his life to support his brother in leading the Blue Mountain pack. Mitch lives on the periphery, quietly protecting everyone, but always alone. A mate is a dream come true for Mitch, and he won’t let little things like Simon’s rejections, attacks, and insults get in their way. With patience, seduction, and genuine care, Mitch will ride out the storm while Simon slays his own ghosts and Mitch’s loneliness.

C. Cardeno has once again succeeded in writing a heart wrenching, heartwarming, and scorchingly hot book. I was lucky enough to receive a review copy just as I got home from work, and nothing else mattered but reading it.

It is hard to fault the writing, which has just brought a whole host of characters to life in my head, and given some visuals on Mitch and Simon that I may revisit at times of need. The peace and calm that is instilled by the huge alpha is tangible. The fear and confusion from Simon is distressingly real.

All round fabulous read – can't wait for book 2, as I want to know more about these wonderful men and their pack.

Mitch Grant is a loner – by choice. His brother, Freddie, is the Alpha of the Blue Mountain Pack and Mitch has always stood by his side and hopefully always will. Mitch, like his brother, is an Alpha but not the Alpha and has no desire to lead his own pack. Satisfied in his position of keeping the pack safe, Mitch leaves the pack politics to his brother.

Simon Moorehead was forced from his pack, the Blue Mountain Pack, while still a teen. His mother, not one to abandon her child, left the pack with him and with him, stayed on the run for more than a decade.

Circumstances bring Simon back to Blue Mountain territory where he is found by Mitch. Mitch knows that Simon is his mate but Simon is resistant to any mention of mating. Simon believes that being an Omega and gay will hurt the pack not make it stronger. Mitch has his hands full earning Simon's trust but he is up to the task.

I can't wait to read more of CC's work.

Let me start by saying I have loved every one of Cardeno C.’s books. This is the first shifter book that I have read by this author, I am usually not big on shifters but now I have a different opinion. I loved this book. Mitch made my heart melt instantly with his patience and the way he handled things from the start with Simon. Simon just made you want to jump through your Kindle and give him a hug. This was a very touching story; I loved every minute of it and can’t wait to read the next installment.

Simon Moorehead has spent his life in exile. He was driven away from his home and pack for reasons that were not his fault. He returns to the place of his birth on a personal errand only to be caught on pack territory.

Mitch Grant is an Alpha wolf dedicated to his family and his pack. He will do anything to keep them happy and safe even if it means putting his needs second.

When Simon is brought to Mitch, he is insecure and defensive. His Omega status usually leads to discrimination, but Mitch is instantly enamored by Simon. His scent, his sweetness, his caring nature, and his fears only encourage Mitch's protective nature into action. They both find the other attractive, but can they get past Simon's problems and find peace together?

I am a fan of Cardeno C. and I was not let down by this book. I really enjoyed it and did not put it down until I had finished. It was a smooth, easy read for me and I know I will be going back for more. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes M/M romance and Alpha males.

Blue Mountain Fun Facts

1. Shifters like Halloween...wonder what costumes they wear?
2. 3 characters in Blue Mountain are named after avid CC readers: Donia, Mitchell Grant and Tricia Moorehead
3. Bun Huggers?
4. You should have a snack at hand while reading Blue Mountain since food is one way Simon shows Mitch he cares for him.
5. Alphas do indeed get on their knees for Omegas!

Cardeno C. – CC to friends – is a hopeless romantic who wants to add a lot of happiness and a few "awwws" into a reader's day. Writing is a nice break from real life as a corporate type and volunteer work with gay rights organizations. Cardeno's stories range from sweet to intense, contemporary to paranormal, long to short, but they always include strong relationships and walks into the happily-ever-after sunset.

Cardeno's Home, Family, and Mates series have received awards from Love Romances and More Golden Roses, Rainbow Awards, the Goodreads M/M Romance Group, and various reviewers. But even more special to CC are heartfelt reactions from readers, like, "You bring joy and love and make it part of the every day."
