For me, I Belong to You is the star of the whole series. We get to watch the trust develop between Mark and Crystal with honest communication.
Crystal is a strong heroine. She knows what she will and won't accept. So many book heroines fold or change to please the broken hero so experiencing Crystal standing up for her needs and being true to herself was thrilling. She was exactly what I wanted to read – a strong successful woman.
Mark is not what he appears to be on the surface. He is strong and vulnerable. Watching his story unfold, learning about his past and seeing with him struggle for happiness and forgiveness made for a wonderful story.
Ms. Jones has written a very engaging series that has only improved with time. I can't recommend the Inside Out series highly enough.

I will be among the minority and admit that I didn't like this book.
Personally, I loved the novellas leading up to Mark & Crystal's story. Unfortunately I felt that the majority of this story was just regurgitating the novellas. Mark is dominant, as is Crystal – will they find the "middle" ground? Together, they are able to realize that the past doesn't define who they are!
Mark has come back to NYC to help support his cancer stricken mother, and help out with Riptide. I did enjoy the dynamic between him and his parents, watching Crystal fit in with them was heart-lifting (which was necessary in wake of the tragic events surrounding this series).
We FINALLY get to find out the "back-story" for both Crystal (shocking!), and Mark (heart-wrenching!) to see how they've become the people they are today. Together, they are able to realize that the past doesn't define who they are.
I felt like the main story – Rebecca's murder, wasn't really given much thought. The resolution (if you call it that) was rushed, and I really expected more. This alone left me disappointed.
Overall though, I did enjoy this series!

This is by far my absolute favorite read of 2014. I couldn't put it down from the very first word. I suppose part of it might have had to do with the fact that I was DYING to get my hands on Mark. Boy did this story not disappoint. I absolutely loved the complexity of Mark and Crystal's relationship.
Mark has a whole lot in his past that makes him the way that he is, but Crystal refuses to allow him to hide behind the same dominating persona that has kept his heart safe since he lost Rebecca. She doesn't even know just how much she is breaking down the walls that Mark has hidden behind. It's effortless because of the woman she is and her refusal to let Mark push her into the roles that he normally uses.
While Crystal is clawing her way into Mark's heart and soul, he is slowly navigating the minefield that is her past as well. All the scars and pain that fill both their past is what makes them paired so well and understanding that force isn't the way to get through to some people.
And of course, we finally get some answers about who did what to Rebecca and where Ava, Ricco and Ryan play into the story. I can't say much about it all without giving it away, but you won't be disappointed. Mark is everything and more that we saw in previous parts of the story.

I have been in love with this series from the first book! This one had Mark's story, and he put all the missing pieces together. I feel like after reading this series I can finally move on. I don't want to spoil anything but my hopes for a finale did not live up to what I expected. I'm not really sure what I expected, and although I'm not disappointed I had expected more flourish in the end. The author did, however, really entertain me with this series, and I look forward to more great series from her.

This is the 5th book in the series and you have to read the other books first. This is Mark and Crystal’s story. We have been waiting for this story forever it seems and it didn’t disappoint. We learned so much about Mark and he is actually a really likeable guy once you know his story. Crystal is amazing and so sweet, how can you not love her? I don’t want to give anything away but we do get answers to the questions we have all been waiting for.
