Wicked Reads Reviews – Cupid, Mardi Gras & Auld Lang Syne by Kaitlin Maitland

Zoey is a woman totally comfortable with her attraction to other women. Zoey knows that she and Morrie McKinloch are perfect for each other. Not only is the chemistry explosive, Morrie is a ton of fun to be around. If only Zoey can convince Morrie that being a lesbian isn’t the end of the world.

Morrie cannot forget the hot New Year’s Eve sex she had with Zoey Statham. She never expected to be attracted to another woman. How can she tell her mother that her only daughter is swearing off the fairytale prince in favor of the princess?

When Morrie’s friends set her up with a local guy, she figures this is her chance at normal. Too bad a handsome man isn’t incentive enough to keep Morrie out of Zoey’s bed. No matter how much Morrie tries to be what her family wants, her heart already knows where she belongs.

Veronica☆☆☆☆
There is a lovely sensuality to this story. Cupid, Mardi Gras & Auld Lang Syne is an excellent f/f romance. I really enjoyed watching Morrie learning about her sexuality and coming to terms with it. I also loved Zoey, and I felt a little that her wants were put on the back burner while she waited for Morrie.

I liked the way this story dealt with the kinds of issues that lesbians face in being accepted by others and I really felt for Zoey and Morrie as they dealt with telling their family and friends about their relationship.

Cupid, Mardi Gras & Auld Lang Syne is the fourth book in The Clan McKinloch Series but I read it as a standalone. I enjoyed it so much I'm going to go back and read the rest of the stories in the series.

Ruthie☆☆☆☆
This is one of a series about the McKinloch Clan. Each sibling gets to tell their story, and this is Morrie's, the one girl in the family.

This hot and steamy tale of Zoey and Morrie, is a great mixture of family, lust, love and desire. I love stories which remind us that it is an individual that falls in love with another and their gender is not really a matter of importance, except to others. Difficult truth, yet well written and brought to life. It is sensual and sexy as well as being fun and flirty.
