A
new second chance single dad standalone romance set in the world of the Wrights
from USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde…
At seventeen, I left Isaac Donoghue behind to become a professional ballerina.
When I return home to dance in The Nutcracker, I never expect to run
into him. Let alone on my first day in town. I can’t help but admire him in a
crisp suit with his toned soccer body, chiseled jaw line, and all too familiar
piercing green eyes. I thought nothing could surprise me more.
Until his five year old daughter runs out of the ballet studio.
I’m only in town for a month. I shouldn’t get involved with anyone, especially
the ex I’ve been pining after for years. Especially when he has a daughter to
consider.
But where Isaac is concerned, I’ve never been able to stay away.
With the help of some Christmas magic, maybe we finally have a shot at our
second chance.

Veronica – ☆☆☆☆
This is a beautiful second-chance romance set at Christmas. It is also set
heavily around the world of ballet even if most of that takes place in the
production of Peyton’s hometown in Texas rather than the stages of New York
City.
This was such an enjoyable easy to read story. We get the sexy second-chance
romance between two high school sweethearts, a single dad with a cute daughter,
supportive, loving extended families, dancing, and more. There is some drama in
the story but not too much. It was just enough to keep me interested.
It was clear from the beginning that Isaac and Peyton were still in love after
all these years and it was just wonderful to go on the journey of love with them
as adults. While enjoying their romance, I enjoyed meeting their friends and
family, some of whom will likely get their own romance stories soon. I’m hoping
Peyton’s sister will be getting one because there is something interesting
going on with her.
Ultimately, where the story goes and some of the events are no surprise, but I
didn’t mind at all. If I’m reading a Christmas-themed romance, I want a tale
full of love and joy to get me in the Christmas spirit and A Wright
Christmas did exactly that.

If you have read previous Wright stories, then you will love this very romantic
tale which also gets us all caught up with all our favourite couples and their
families.
Isaac and Payton split when she left to dance in New York – and whilst it was
an agreed decision, it wasn't an easy one. Peyton is now back in town for a
month dancing in The Nutcracker, and so is Isaac's five-year-old
daughter. I absolutely loved all the dancing, the insight into the pain of
being a professional, and the need to accept that there will come a time to
stop.
The real sweetness comes from Isaac's little girl and her relationship with
everyone, but Peyton in particular. She is charming without being too sweet,
and adds levity and intensity to the situation as she sees how important Peyton
is to their future.
Beautiful Christmas story with lots of family, lots of romance, and plenty of
ballet – pretty perfect combination topped off with a super romantic gesture
and a lovely happily ever after.
