This is book two in the Hunt Legacy and it picks up where the first one left
off. As Eleanor is trying to figure out who Becker Hunt really is, she is
realizing that she is falling for him. But she knows that he is hiding
something from her. There are too many things that do not add up. And you have
to figure out where Brent figures into everything too. While Brent and Becker
seem to be bidding on everything of value, Becker has stolen Eleanor's heart,
Brent is trying to steal her away from him.
Can Becker keep Brent away from Eleanor? Will he tell her the truth about
everything? Will their relationship end or can they get their happily ever
after?
I loved how this story is filled with twists and turns, you didn't have a clue
of who or what was coming next. The suspense will keep you on the edge of your
seat. Author Jodi Ellen Malpas has a way of telling a story that will keep you
glued to your Kindle because you have to find out what is going to happen next.
If you haven't read anything from her, then I highly recommend you do. Start
here and then you can read my favorite, the This Man series. Any of them
really, just read them and enjoy them.

M/F Romance
Make sure you read book one first, because book two starts where one left off.
Eleanor is upset with Becker... She just learned that her trust was broken and
she isn't quite sure how to process what she has learned. While she knows that
she has never known another man like Becker, she isn't sure if she's willing to
hear him out. She runs home and wants to forget that she ever knew Becker, but
Becker isn't quite ready to let her go.
Becker knows that he messed up but he isn't willing to let Eleanor just walk
away from him. She is his. I think for me, Becker was a little too possessive
in this story. He seemed almost obsessive and it wasn't a good look. I wanted
more of a relationship between Becker and Eleanor, but it seemed very one-sided.
While this story picks up where book one stopped, this book felt slower. You
get to see more of the dynamic between Becker and his grandpa, which I
appreciated, but you also only get to see the surface of their relationship.
There seemed to be so much more.
I did enjoy the story and liked how the story finished. I do wish that the
relationship between Eleanor and Becker didn't seem so one-sided. It was almost
like a D/s relationship, but without the rules and while Eleanor didn't ever
say no, it seemed somewhat iffy on consent at times.
