This is the second half of the story of Harley and Chase's love story, so make sure you read Wright Kind of Trouble before this, or you will be very confused. To be honest, you should read all the Wright Vineyard books to enjoy all the backstories which add to the whole.

Just as Harley graduates and she and Chase allow themselves to be together, everything blew up with her brothers finding out – because Chase is a Sinclair, and the bad blood between them and the Wrights is real. We now get to find out how they manage to navigate their relationship when many around them want it to fail. Add to that, Harley's (pretty evil) father still wants to control her future, and her mother still can't resist his charms... and Harley is having to defend herself and start her career with a lot of pressures from all sides. Not the best place to engage fully in a new relationship – but she and Chase are strong and genuinely perfect for each other, if only everyone else can get the message!

I was so happy that these two lovely people finally got their chance at happiness. It has been a long time coming. I also loved catching up with all the previous couples and seeing how they had to acknowledge their growth in accepting their changing family dynamics.

This is the seventh book in the series and to get all the goodness you really need to start from the very beginning – as this book covers events from different perspectives which have already happened, and it was so rich to glimpse reminders of big things for other couples from a new line of sight. We also finally get to understand more of Hayley's thinking over that time.

There is nothing to dislike in this sexy waiting game, impossible to resist romance, which has been happening throughout Hayley's undergraduate studies. She and Chase had an instant connection, but he wanted her to have the chance to make her own life rather than being subsumed into his. There is only good in that intention, but it is a difficult one to stomach... for both of them really. I love that we get to see them slip up every now and again and yet they cannot possibly let go entirely.

It is fast-paced and full of fun, so whilst time is passing, we still get plenty of passion and hope for a true happily ever after. We are given somewhat of a cliffhanger, which means I am already in need of the next book, NOW!

House of Gods is the fourth installment in the Royal Houses series, and it cannot be read as a standalone or out of series order. Since there isn't much of a rundown of previous events at the start, no info-dumps, if you are a reader who needs a refresher, I do suggest a bit of a reread. If not, Linde does an amazing job of slowly revealing what had happened in the last installment without the reader being inundated with a pacing-destroying rundown.

Un-put-down-able. I told myself I could read a chapter or two before bed. Next thing I knew, I was finished and dawn had crested the horizon.

Zero spoilers, I won't give a rundown on events as I wish the rest of the readers a cover-to-cover in one sitting experience as I enjoyed.

House of Gods starts off immediately after House of Curses ended. Kerrigan and Ford landed after being propelled out of the portal, only to end up in her birth mother's land. Kerrigan spends four hundred pages doing all she can to get back home and save her realm.

Action. Adventuring. Huge roadblocks in Kerrigan's way. Unexpected allies. Eon's old enemies. Heartbreak. Injustice. Fear. Gladiator battles. Family reunions, both good and bad. The making of friends and the tightening of relationships. House of Gods had the gamut of emotions from start to finish.

As Kerrigan suffers the absence of magic, she leans how to live and survive without it, so someday she may thrive with it.

I cannot wait until the next installment. While House of Gods doesn't not end on a cliffhanger as previous installments, it does set up the epic battle to come.

This is the seventh book in the series, and I would definitely recommend that you read them in order, because there is so much goodness in this series. I really enjoy the crazy wealth and the machinations of 'royal' families, arranged marriages, politics, and friendship. We met Gavin and Whitley in earlier books, and their badly-timed hookup three years ago – which resulted in her moving across the country to work in LA. She is now back, attracted by a huge pay raise and potential of a partnership in a successful cosmetic surgery practice.

Inevitably, the two will meet again as they share friends. Gavin, the one time biggest player of the group has, in fact, got bored of not having someone special in his life, and Whitley is the woman on his mind. He is therefore delighted to find she is back and, even better, is buying property in his building. He isn't sure how he is going to make her believe he wants a relationship with her, and his plans are pretty crazy, but fun to watch! Whitley is also renowned for not wanting to settle down, so is also at a loss as to how to communicate clearly to Gavin... cue some fun for those watching on and sure that they are perfect for each other.

I loved catching up with the previous couples and seeing how their lives have changed, thanks to love, children, and good communications. It gives us hope, as well as providing the reassurance and motivation that they both need. Amused me greatly that the Mayor still manages a cameo in this story. Delicious read from start to finish.

House of Curses is the third installment in the Royal Houses series. I strongly recommend against reading as a standalone or out of series order. The entire series is told from Kerrigan's point of view. There are also mentions of a previous series, Ascension, which I somehow completely overlooked and will remedy that shortly. Honestly, I thought I had read it, but Goodreads says my recollection isn't true.

Let me preface this review by stating how the House of Curses ends on the mother of all cliffhangers, with Kerrigan left devastated. Had I not read this for review, I would have waited to read this novel once I had both books in my greedy little hands. I'm not the most patient of readers.

The first thought that popped into my head when I started on the first page was to wonder if I should have reread House of Shadows or at least hunted down my review for a refresher, as I had digested hundreds upon hundreds of books since I was immersed in this series.

K.A. Linde does an amazing job of coaxing the reader into remembering events in the previous novels without weighing down the pacing with info-dumps. Mad props to Linde for flawlessly pinging my memory.

With Ford MIA, Kerrigan is plunged into fearing for her soulmate's safety as well as her own. There is no way out of her betrothal with March. By day, Kerrigan is plagued with social engagements with her fiancé, and by night, she awakens in a panic to nightmares of what lies ahead in the future.

With the help of her nearest and dearest, as she works to regain the trust and adoration she once had for the father who abandoned her for her own good, as she strengthens her knowledge of her own abilities, as she runs for a seat in the Society, Kerrigan's plate is overloaded. But all she can think about is Ford, whether he is safe or if he is ever coming back to her. All the while, she is trying to take down the Red Masks.

House of Curses reveals how the fairytales are real. Adventurous treks through impassable cold landscapes, with a soulmate at her side, attempting to reach the witch's cottage. Political intrigue plaguing their world, forming factions of fae, human, and half-human/half-fae. As well as entering the spirit plane to commune with a being from another world altogether. Kerrigan's life and those she loves hinges in the balance of whether or not they can stop the Red Masks from decimating life as they know it. The novel packs a fast-paced punch.

The reason I couldn't give five stars versus four is simply a matter of taste. I'm not a fan of reading passages from the villains of the tale. Not only are the passages short, therefore I have zero emotional investment in the character, I find they spoil the pacing and delivery of information. I'm locked into Kerrigan, as I have for three books – I wish to learn beside her as I have for the entire journey. The reader knowing who the villains are while watching the heroine flounder is not something I find enjoyable nor intriguing. The switch in narration jars me from the story, gets me out of Kerrigan's head, to the point I tend to skip these passages, no matter the author or the series. Added with the fact that there were multiple villains, as well as from her friend's point of view.

Highly recommend this novel and series to fans of the author, as well as those who enjoy epic fantasy, fantasy, dragons, and fae. What I wouldn't do to get my greedy hands on the next installment, mind spinning as I have theories to a few revelations revealed and wish to be proven right. Since I've discovered my memory is faulty, I will be diving into Ascension soon.

This is a standalone but fits with two other books in the Coastal Chronicles series. They give us Lila, Cole, and Ash's story in the first book, and Maddox's twin, Marley, finally gets her high school love Derek in the second. Now Maddox and Josie get to deal with their unresolved feelings for each other.

Josie has been a household name thanks to her acting in a big TV series, but her childhood friend has bigger success with a couple of Oscars for his animation and CGI work. Little does she expect to come home for a TV show reunion and find that Maddox is also involved in production. There is a lot of unexplored love and lust between them, and whilst they have been kept up to date with information by their common friends and family, there is much which is unknown. However, both of them still feel that deep love and friendship which they wish they could recapture.

I loved seeing how they dealt with the barriers put in front of them, and how they had grown up and learned how best to try and secure the future that they both desire. A really engaging and enjoyable period of escapism!

Second to None is the third installment in the Coastal Chronicles series. While it would be easy enough to read as a standalone without too much confusion, I caution against it. As a continuation, the setting, the characters, and their connections are built across the series, and the reader would miss out on the emotional impact of what draws the entire cast together.

In another lifetime, Josie and Maddox began their journey back in high school. The delicious angst for a teenage girl who had a crush on her best friend's brother and the brooding angst of the teenage boy having a crush on his sister's best friend. Josie is a flighty flirt, while Maddox takes everything seriously. While they would balance each other's personalities, it's best left unexplored as to not harm the ties that bind.

While opposite personalities attract, the college years were for exploration. Josie was not ready to face the intensity she shared with Maddox.

Told in the past and in the present in Josie's voice, she tries to find her footing along the way, making mistakes that help her grow into a strong, successful woman. While I may not have liked all of Josie's choices, they made her feel real to me, flaws and regrets, and stumbling learning steps in the journey.

Two grown, lonely adults at the pinnacles of their careers, regretting what could have been/what should have been, while celebrating their similar successes but missing out on celebrating them together.

Josie returns to Savanna, only to discover she will be working in close proximity with Maddox... let the angst begin.

K.A. Linde is my go-to for angst, and Second to None delivers. Josie and Maddox's relationship is entertainingly messy, filled with history and near-misses, exactly how a complicated second-chance romance should be.

Highly recommend to fans of the author, contemporary romance, and those looking for a hefty dose of angsty deliciousness.

This is the fifth book in the Wright Vineyard series but makes a round dozen in the overall Wright series – so if you are a fan, you will love how many familiar faces appear in this book! I would recommend that you have read at least the prior four, but this is such a fun story, if you want to just dive in, it's a lot of fun regardless.

We left these two characters as newly minted housemates, but with Weston going to work in LA, so basically Nora has the house to herself, and no danger of romantic wishes on either part. Now West is back, and they slip into an easy friendship and an uneasy desire to be more. It is cute and engaging, as well as playing into the dynamics of the families that are key to this series. There are so many interwoven friendships and familial relationships that it is to an extent difficult to see how this would be any different – but Campbell and Hollins are still feeling guilty for rather abandoning their baby sister, and maybe feeling even more protective after the 'August' debacle. He, foolishly, continues to feature in Nora's life, but only makes more of an idiot of himself.

I love following the career successes and adventures of both Nora as a wedding planner, and Weston as he finally gets his big chance in the music business. West, particularly, has been missing the stability that is rare in the business, but even if he achieves it, then his home will be the road, not Lubbock, where Nora thrives in her role. Linde has an inspired solution to that problem, which comes about in such a natural way – very clever, fun, and ties in previous storylines perfectly.

As always, there are hints of new relationships to come and I for one am already looking forward to catching up with the gang and finding out more!

All the Wright Moves is the twelfth installment in the Wright series, but most importantly, this is the fifth installment in the Wright Vineyard series.

Can this novel be read as a standalone? No, not without confusion, as well as spoiling plot threads in prior novels that you may or may not wish to read in the future. The emotional payoff will be stronger if the reader has a connection to the cast of characters, not just to the main characters of this novel. If you don't wish to wade through a dozen Wright novels, reading the previous four Wright Vineyard novels are a must.

Brother's best friend, such a tasty plot device... and Nora feels exactly the same as I do. Nora has been sharing a house with Weston, but she is given a reprieve when he had to relocate for work, giving Nora full run of the house by herself. She can finally take a deep breath without Weston's intoxicating presence influencing her... or so she thought.

Gun-shy from a bad breakup and a friendship in tatters, Nora is hesitant to date. But now with Weston back in the house, with the promise of friendship and the intimacy of sharing a close bond with their friends and family, those sharp edges of her emotional walls are crumbling.

An all-around good person, Weston is easy to love and befriend, coaxing and bringing out a confident side to Nora, one she thought was destroyed after the "love of her life" broke her heart. Weston offers to be Nora's dating coach, falling head over heels when he promised himself he wouldn't, not when he has to return to LA.

Outside of the romance between Nora and Weston, the best portions of the novel feature the huge cast of endearing characters and how they interact with one another. Campbell brings some angst by pulling the "don't touch my sister" card, which was deliciously entertaining.

All the Wright Moves is a page-turner of warm and fuzzy feels, a great way to de-stress while being entertained. I highly recommend this novel, the series, as well as K.A. Linde's entire backlist to fans of contemporary romance.
