Inside, Arkady shed his jacket before he clasped a hand around my elbow. He guided me upstairs and into his bedroom. Spinning me in front of him, he began tugging down the hidden zipper at the back of my dress.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Never before had a man handled me as if he owned the rights to my body.

I clutched the dress to my front as he deftly lowered the zipper to the base of my spine. He trailed a lone fingertip down the center of my back, creating a pattern of chills across my skin.

Both his hands settled on my shoulders while mine fell away from the dress.

“I must check the dressing on your thigh.” His deep silken voice made my breath leave in a whoosh.

Easing the garment from my arms, he snagged the straps of my bra too.

“You don’t need to take off my bra to do that.” The breathless quality of my reprimand made my words entirely unconvincing.

“But I want to.” And, as the dress hung at my wrists, he nimbly flicked open the bra’s catch.

My breasts bounced free then the dress swirled down to lay in a puddle around my feet. As if in the throes of a spell, I started to step from the pile of fabric as well as from my stilettoes but Arkady stopped me.

As he faced me, his gaze washed over me with smoldering male hunger. “Leave the heels on. I like them.”

He took my hand, lacing his fingers slowly through mine. Heat coursed through me from a pulsing point in my pussy.

He helped me step from the dress and sat me on the edge of the bed. “Stay.”

I didn’t move and I barely breathed.

He entered the bathroom, tugging off his shirt along the way. Bronzed muscles flexed as he walked, and I unconsciously arched toward him even though he wasn’t looking.

I grew embarrassingly wet between my legs as he stalked back with swabs and bandages in his hand. His cock pushed out prominently at the front of his trousers.

He got to his knees in front of me, and I watched the top of his head as he bent to set his first aid items on the floor.

His calloused hands gripping my ankles, he pressed my legs open.

Arkady is dark and dangerous. As the second in the Bratva, he's known for being cold and calculated. He never has the same woman twice and thinks they are only for pleasure, but nothing more. When he saves a woman from a few gang members, the last thing he expects is that she was on her way to murder his brother or that she would turn out to be an Italian Princess to a rival family.

Lucia is lost. She wants revenge, hates her life, and knows that it's only a matter of time before she fulfills her duty. However, she has to do something since her father won't or didn't. When she is rescued by Arkady, she's very wary of him. He's dangerous and she knows it. However, with her past and her life all jumbled at the moment, is he just what she needs?

Lucia and Arkady find themselves both in unfamiliar territory. Arkady, for once, wants to protect Lucia from herself and her family, and Lucia is wanting to let him. With a tense truce, these two will have to navigate their dangerous worlds and see if they can come out intact on the other side.

The chemistry between these two is heated and they fit each other well. I really enjoyed this story and can't wait to see more.

As they get to know each other, Lucia explains her past to Arkady, and he falls even more for her. But when her father and his goons come to take her back, Arkady is defenseless because he has no backup.

Can Arkady save her from a life she doesn't deserve? Will he make her his in the end? Can Lucia hold on to hope that Arkady will save her?

I love mafia stories and this series is one of my favorites. The author has a way of keeping you glued to every word until the end and leaves you wanting more. I can't wait for the next book.

The Russian Savage: Enemy of the Bratva is the second book in the Krasnov Brothers series. It can be read as a standalone. There is mention to the first book, but they aren't intertwined enough that you can't read as a standalone. That being said, you should read book one, The Russian Thug: Abducted by the Bratva, it's a delicious read and shouldn't be missed.

When Arkady saves a woman being harassed by two gangs in an alley, he never imagined the gift he was given. Unknowingly, she was on her way to kill his brother; finding this out, Arkady takes her to his home and locks her in a room until he can figure out how this woman can work in his advantage. What he doesn't expect is falling for the dark-haired beauty and wanting to make her his.

Book two is a bit darker than book one but it fits Arkady's personality perfectly. Lucia and Arkady have instant chemistry and you can't help but cheer them on. The twists and turns keep you on the edge of your seat.

I can't wait to see what's next for the Krasnov Brothers!
