Roses, Rallies, & BBQ by Kaitlin Maitland

Ossian McKinloch is the quintessential big brother who has all the answers, all the time. He considers himself the confirmed bachelor of Clan McKinloch until Jax Bequette stumbles into Oz’s pub and shakes things up. Now Oz is having trouble keeping things casual. Who can resist a guy like Jax who is the perfect mix of fun, masculine, and sexy as hell?

Jax Bequette has never been comfortable in his own skin. Raising his younger sister after their parents’ death gave Jax no time to explore his sexuality. When his friendship with Ossian McKinloch slides into something more, Jax is ready to explore what he’s been missing. The chemistry is combustible, but Jax is almost afraid to believe that he could ever be enough to tame a free spirit like Ossian.

Veronica☆☆☆☆
None of the McKinlochs have had an easy road to love and Ossian's journey is no exception. Jax and Ossian have issues to overcome but it is clear to everyone that they are meant to be together.

The biggest issue for this couple is labels. Jax has realised he is gay and is not sure how the label works and what the means for him. While Ossian doesn't see the point of labels and doesn't really get why this is an issue for Jax.

We've been watching Ossian throughout this series and it was great to see him find his partner. Ossian is the quiet brooding type while Jax is more laid back. I really enjoyed the romance of the McKinloch siblings and I like the little wrap up we get at the end. This has been an excellent series I'd definitely recommend.

The fifth book in the series, and I would highly recommend that you read them in order as they do move forward in time. That said, I started with book 4 before going back to the beginning and enjoyed them all the same!

As any reader of the previous books will know, Ossian has been a mysterious figure until book 4 – where maybe the chinks in his armour start to appear. And the person to penetrate them is Jax. He of the sleek Italian motorbike, soccer playing and owning background. The two men have been skirting along the edge of a relationship for months, mainly due to Oz's past affecting his view of being labelled.

This story is poignant, hot and as always involves a whole family of characters, not just the leads. I have loved all of the books, and hope that there may be more, even though the clan are all happily settled at last!
