I am enjoying this series a lot – and when it is complete I shall enjoy reading it all in one go, so that I don't miss any of the threads. There is a lot going on that is ongoing, as well as the romance of the book itself.
In this case, we are following Arthur, having left The Cottage after a pretty dramatic breakout. There is an expectation of torture, which is hardly the usual romantic setting we are used to – but over time barriers break down and unexpected alliances start to develop. A very confusing, yet hot situation is the reward. This felt like another piece in the jigsaw, and yet we still don't have the box to see what the final picture should actually look like. In a way it is the calm before the storm...
Ms. Maeve, I hope that we are going to be given the next puzzle piece soon – even if we have to wait for the picture!
