This was my favorite book so far from Ilsa Madden-Mills, I loved it! From the prologue, which is a game changer, you won’t want to put it down.

Elizabeth Bennett has had a rough past, which gets explained in the prologue, on top of that she has a difficult mom to deal with. Elizabeth sets out looking for a one-night stand. She knows going in that Declan is not the man to have this one-night stand with, but once Declan decides he wants something he’s determined to get it. Declan is a rich street-fighter who got burned by his ex and now doesn’t do relationships. He’s a hit-it and quit-it kind of guy, but when he sets his sights on Elizabeth that all changes.

I really liked that both Declan and Elizabeth are overcoming difficulties with their parents and they’re there for each other. Declan is quick to defend Elizabeth when she needs it and it makes for a really sweet romance with a large dose of steamy! This book had me crying and laughing on several different occasions, I just love Declan’s twin brother, Dex, and really hope he gets his own book!

I can’t wait to see what Ilsa Madden puts out next!

This book started off really good, held my attention and drew me in. However, about halfway into the book I seemed to have lost all interest in the book and I can’t really pinpoint why. At times I could feel the chemistry between the characters and at times I couldn’t. The whole drama with the mom and her boyfriend wasn’t working for me, what mom would tell some dude she just met something like that? Then the ending everything seemed to be fixed and tied with a pretty bow, somehow it just didn’t work for me. I loved Declan and his twin brother, I kind of wish I saw more of his twin, he seemed fun and lovable.
