Wicked Reads Reviews – Finding Submission by Megan Michaels

Preston Harrison was the picture of the gentleman Southern lawyer, as handsome and affable, as he was strict and precise. His ordered professional life suited him and his temperament, not a thing out of place, not an event unplanned. But he was more than a lawyer though — he was also a Dom, and he made sure his personal life and professional life never intersected. Never that is until his world is turned upside down by one Avery Beauchamp, a stubborn, adorable, and way too sassy pocket Venus.

Being the only daughter of a respected Judge should’ve set Avery up for a life of ease, of privilege. But Avery had a habit of not doing anything she should — she only did the things she wanted. Marching to the beat of her own (very smart-mouthed) drummer had always served the headstrong girl well… until the day she ran afoul of a little thing called the law.

A strict southern lawyer and a color-outside-the-lines misdemeanor offender should have been like oil and water. But when a Judge’s daughter finds herself on the wrong side of the law, she’s presented with a choice: a fine and possible jail time, or an alternative sentence. Preston — against his better judgment — finds himself agreeing to the rather unique sentence for the wayward girl: house arrest for Avery.

There was one problem for Avery though: the house where she would serve her sentence wasn’t hers — it was Preston’s. Worse, as she learns what working for the strict Preston Harrison really means — and how deep her own repressed desires might go — she fears that she might lose more than her freedom to the devastatingly handsome Dom. She might lose her heart too.

Johanna☆☆☆
The synopsis caught my eye and I enjoyed reading about Avery and Preston. Avery gets caught trying to sell two Rolex watches she stole to make her car payment. It seems being the daughter of a judge can get her @ss out of hot water......or can it? Out of the pan and into the fire? Preston decides he will be responsible for Avery while she works for him to pay off her fine in order to avoid jail. He doesn't take too kindly to rolling eyes or lip, and he has a much more satisfying way to deal with little girls that cuss. This book was very imaginative and read more like a fantasy than a book. Overall entertainment is three stars!

Shannan☆☆☆
When Avery Beauchamp decides she can make it on her own without her very respected Judge father, she doesn't realize all the sacrifices she will have to make. Not able to pay her rent she chooses to steal from a house she is cleaning and gets caught. Paying for her crime maybe more of lesson than she thought it would.

Preston Harrison is a very precise, strict, lawyer and Dom. When the judge asks for his help to keep Avery's crime off her record, he has the perfect solution. She can clean for him. He will teach her discipline and respect. Can Preston get Avery to lose her sass and submit?

WOW there was some series spanking going on in this one. The meeting and first spanking of Avery took me a little by surprise, they are virtual strangers other than a car ride together and he is fast to spanking her. It was a good read but that first scene threw me. I never quite felt the chemistry between them though.

Avery is a rich girl who leaves home and tries to make it on her own and finds that she can’t. Avery ends up getting busted for stealing. She doesn’t want her dad to find out but after she finds out what her punishment is she might be better off running back to Daddy. This book was a little farfetched in my opinion; I mean seriously that whole punishment scenario would never happen in real life. Once I got over that and just repeated to myself several times “it’s just a book” I eventually enjoyed it. The kitty play was a little odd to me but to each their own. The book was entertaining and I will probably read the next one just to see what other ideas the author has.

Characters: The characters were well written
Sex: Yes
Religious: No
Would I recommend to others: Yes
More than one book in the series: Yes
Genre: BDSM/Romance
Would I read more by this author: Yes

This is the first in a series, and I shall definitely be looking out for the next one. There were parts of this book which made me uncomfortable, but they were definitely thought provoking. I liked the writing style, and was entertained by Avery's antics, and staggered at some of the decisions that Preston made. Good reading for a wet and windy Sunday.

The adventure of writing and getting a book published has been amazing! Reading has always been a passion for me and as far back as I can remember, I have always had at least one book on the go. Erotic romance and spanking romance are the books I crave. Who doesn't love a strong, alpha male who spanks? And if that man can be a cowboy or a pirate, well the perfect situation has been created. The bookcase shelves in our house and my Kindle are filled with BDSM, Spanking Romance, Age Play, DD, D/s, Historical Fiction, Historical Romance and Erotic Romance.
